After some investigating, I'm told his package at Sale Creek is nearly $20K more than he earned at Meigs. At his age of 52, that extra amount will not only garner him more money annually, but also toward his pension. I don't think he'll be looking for another (better) job - because of his age and because he turned down some lucrative better jobs in the past while he was at Meigs. I see Fitz as one who likes the challenge of turning a program around.
Tommy was the best choice for Meigs. Recently retired Sweetwater coach Mike Martin coached Tommy at Meigs, so I'd say the Sweetwater job was Tommy's to turn down.
