Centrals run game looked good off tackel 1st 1/2, field was in good shape for all the rain today from 2 till 4. Centrals OB showed nothing other than he is VERY VERY TOUGH he had 0 time to do any thing.Central's boys played with 110% heart and were game to the end. Norths speedback could not cutback and had a hard night. 33 & 49 for North carried the o with 33 looking just right for the Dwing O. #11 was every where on D and had several good carries as well. 1 week to get ready to stop Rogers and the Falcons. If Central can't throw against North then their OB and Coach Fox are in for a long year in the Big 8. Good Luck to Central for the rest of the season, BLACK & GOLD TO THE BONE GO RAIDERS

Next Thursday the Central Cougars bring a new era of football in to Thunder Valley to face the Raiders. The Raiders are looking foward to facing the best QB in Upper North East Tn. The Raiders are smaller and faster than last year but will try to stay with Coach Fox's offence and represent the 3 rivers against the Big 8. Good Luck to both teams & GO RAIDERS

It is a shame that freshmen linemen don't look like they do in the 12th grade. I have always felt the highschool linesman coach has the hardest job to do and the least time to get it done. To me being a QBs dad makes the linesmen coach the most important man on the staff. I did not mean any coach could do well at South I ment any Coach South would make an offer to would do well. I know the mind set of your community and no bums need apply. I have coached and coached against many young men in this area in Sullivan county football and LV peewee. You see so many bad things happen to so many fine young men to take them over to the dark side. We as parents, coaches, & community menbers, need to remember that sports were put in school so that kids could see what hard work and effort return to them in one season. Most highschool children can't see 4 years down the road, but they can see what happens in a single sports season and some times relate it to school work. Good luck however it turns out. Go Raiders

I have read this entire thread and have smiled many times seeing boys names I have known and watched grow up on the gridiron. I helped coach against Coach Garvin the 1st 3 years he coached the jv county Chargers and we knew all year this was our must win game. The talent level never went down and he always brought them ready to play. So knowing the boys from those teams and the added talent from SW I don't see a lot of drop of in talent from the 9th, 10th & 11 graders at South. I am no CH lover but I really respect their program and their parent & community support. With that any coach will do well. One good thing about South coming down in size, is that we can start the North South bowl back up. Congrats to Souths boys on a great year. GO RAIDERS

Hey batman it looks like we should just work friday night, it might be to rough on us old already done dads. I'm holding down your fort as we spaek. Hey rebelyelp it's not very high class when some one talks down about your kids or your school, now is it. We were sitting down at mama's house just the other morning talking about how message boards make so many pro coaches and Brave men, and how high school football could be the perfect sport if only the boys and not the adults got involved. SHAME on any one on these boards that speaks a bad thing about any child on any team. GREAT GAME ELIZABETHTON, from time to time we looked like we might play ball but then another mistake killed us. Fumble #1 hurt big mistake, Fumble #2 massive hit few could have held on after that. Could not tell about #3. Our tackling would score on a 1 to 10 scale about a -7 on one play I thing we had about 8 missed tackels. But all in all our boys played better than the score showed. THERE IS NO DOUBT WHO THE KING OF THE 3 RIVERS IS THIS YEAR !!!!!! If you play like you did tonight the rest of the playoffs you could win this thing. Orangeworker I made the comment that the JV did not dominate us nor we them. It was a great smash mouth football game, I know these games are not always played to win but this was a great hard hitting game to watch we held off a late hard fought drive to win by 1. You could see a lot of great games coming between these two teams. TVA a few years ago when North was in the ML con we played well against teams our size then we were told there was to much travel and we could make more gate money if we into the local big 8 or 10 or what ever it was called then.Well we could not play well with teams from schools 3 times bigger than us. 1st Kingsport took over 1/2 of Lynn Garden into the city,then the county shut down Lynn View Middle (1/2 of those students then went to the city), That left only Ketron Middle, then the next blow fell they took the 8th grade to North and did away with all sports at Ketron, also at this time the North head coach leaves with out notice. So here we are no coach no feeder program and boys with little hope going to play else where. Call it what you will TVA but I think ruin fits well. So yeah we are pleased with our program just like you'll are and look foward ( if we can keep our school open) to many great games with the Black & Orange. I see many hard fought games in these two teams futures. Elizabethton's return to dominance will require them to go through North every year. I did not see a lot of dominance last year at Thundervalley, or this year with our freshmen and sophmores against their JV. One great year makes a dynasty not !!!!!! Next years Raiders will have some line issues to fix, but Coach P can do that. When the 10th grade through 7th grade spreads it wings and flexes it muscles, Black & Gold will be the last colors many teams see. We are picking ourselves up out of the near ruin of a program, people don't leave here to play football now they come here to play. I love coming to Betsy and walking through your community to get to the field, you can feel the support.That is the way is has to be. Bloomingdale is starting to be proud to be Raiders again. North knows how good Betsy is and and how fast she can take over a ball game. What the cyclones need to worry about is not us but the games after the North game.They are the ones that really count. They have already beaten us and should only worry about round 3 & 4 so they can be ready for the championship game. After I saw all those percentiles and rankings I can't believe they would even dress their seniors, one might trip on the yardage chains and miss the real games coming up. Go Raiders

WG came out and ran the kick off back then stopped us and got the ball back and went right down the field and scored again. 14 -0 in about 4 minutes. They were hitting #7 every play. Then we found a weak spot in their middle and our fullbacks went to work. The raiders are much bigger than the buffs and they just beat them down. Then North just did what we do and ran the ball down their throats. They had to go to the air to try and catch up but 4 ints put a stop to that. West Green played hard to the end and never gave up! Congrats to the buffs on a great year, you played tough tonight with a lot of heart and class. NORTH 35 WEST GREEN 14 GO RAIDERS

They play a House of Pain rap song (jump) every time they score, I hope you don't have to hear it as much as we did when North went to Betsy this year. I liked walking through the neighborhood to get to the field. Parking is not as bad as you would think and we got out quick. The home fans were nice enough and postive in their cheering. I think a real good rule of thumb for all of us fans on every team would be if you can't say some thing good be quiet. Good luck to all the 3 rivers teams (this week) and play safe. GO RAIDERS

HV called North a dirty team this year when we beat them in the mudbowl. To be very honest all I saw was two offences slowed down to the point big hits were easy to make on BOTH SIDES. Their players would not even shake our boys hands after the game. I don't blame that on the children. Some times we seem to lose sight of why sports are in schools. But any way GOOD Luck to both teams Play safe and hard. GO RAIDERS

Congrats to West Green, we here at North know how it is to live in the shadow of of our big brother DB just and you do with Greenville. No matter how the game turns out it's good to see both of the redheaded stepchildren do well. Here's to a great safe game and may the best team win. GO RAIDERS

Who ever posted this has not watched much raider football this year. SteveO and Eric are the back bone of the team no doubt but either of them will tell you many times this year when either or both were getting keyed on somebody else stepped up and carried the day. A lot of kids play on this team and a lot carry the ball. Ask anyone that went to Haysi. Our Fullbacks have speed and power and our other tailbacks have the speed and vision to go to the end zone on any play. I have watched every freshman,JV, and Varsity game along with most practices this year. This is a blue collar team that everyone works and contributes on. Our coaches are the same way every game fresh or jv, almost every varsity coach was on the sidelines. This is one team from the 7th grade to the 12th. The ball is rolling and getting bigger every year. We are going to be a thorn in many teams sides for a long time.If West Green wants a long game and short ride back to Greenville key on #7 & #1.
