  1. I am assuming that Coach Terry Arrington would......should........might apply?
  2. ELA, Where will you and your son be coaching in '10? Good luck to both of you.
  3. Doitknow, Can you reveal your sources?
  4. Biggest Question here: Will Ward be able to bring coaches with him or will they keep Paris staff intact?
  5. Some reasons why Rankin may leave TN. He has put in his "time" in TN. He can retire with full benefits from TN. Move to Georgia and draw another salary. Georgia is loaded with good players and good programs. WHo wouldn't do that? I dare to say that anyone in their right mind would not at least consider that. On top of that, he is still relatively young. I think he has at least 10 very good coaching years in front of him. Good luck coach in whatever you decide to do.
  6. The tall kid that plays QB and WR for Cheatham plays baseball as well, if I remember correctly. Sorry that I cannot think of his name. No disrespect intended. I would think that CHeatham or any other school may hold off on Spring Practice so that their QBs can get snaps, if they play baseball?
  7. Done deal. TSSAA got this one right. It is posted stating that CA's request was approved.
  8. defense, I will speak for Chetham COunty coaching staff: they are good and more importantly, good people. For years, they have done more with less talent than most schools in middle TN. I hope you were joking when you called out the chetham coaches. that is not very christian like????? I am sure they will accept your public apology though.
  9. Some surprise names on that list. Congratulations to the players selected. I thought there would be more Camden and Creekwood players on that list since they finished 1-2 in the district. Anyway, I thought there were some very good players in 11 AA this pass season. '10 should be fun.
  10. It could be another interesting year in '10 for district 11 AA. I look for Montgomery Central and Cheatham County to be MUCH improved and will balance out the district. I would think that Camden would be the logical choice to finish at the top of the district. Solid. Creek Wood should be athletic, but they have to replace some very good linemen on both sides of the ball. Harpeth, Waverly, and Cheatham have talented QBs returning. Not sure of the QB situations @ Camden, Creek Wood, Stewart County & Montgomery Central. If anyone can provide info for your favorite 11 AA team, please.......do tell.
  11. Page is good. Creekwood is good. It should be a good game. Neither team will run away with the game. It will probably be a close game. Creek Wood is giving up around 13-14 pts/game and Page is giving up around 13-14 pts/game. EVEN! Both teams can be explosive on offense. Page is scoring 24 pts/game and Creekwood is scoring 30 pts/game. Both team's schedule won 49% of their games. Both teams have 7 teams on their schedules that are playoff bound. EVEN! The only difference I see in schedule is that Page has 1 win over a 1A team. Both teams have a loss to a 6A rival team. EVEN! Both teams like to run the football. Both coaches are named Daniel(s). EVEN! So everyone needs to stop bashing each team and realize that it may be the best matchup of any playoff game in the 1st round. Good luck to both teams.
  12. An absolute incredible ball game last night. The atmosphere was definetly playoff caliber. It was a very physical game with playmakers making huge plays. 2 of the better QBs in Middle TN were on display last night. It is a shame that someone had to lose that game. Both these teams may make some noise in their respective divisions in the playoffs. Both teams played with pride and class and semed to be very well coached. Last nights game is an instant classic and should be replayed on ESPNCL channel. I hope this is a sign to come for District 11AA in the future.
  13. I do not know much about either team, but I just do not see how East can matchup with MCHS. I may be mistaken. I hope both teams play well.
  14. This has all the makings of being a very good ball game. Both teams are well coached and play a similar style of downhill football.
  15. Sycamore is obviously playing well right now. They have won 4 in a row. I have not seen them play, but my sources in Cheatham County tell me they can run the ball on anyone. Coach Halstead is doing a fantastic job this season. Creekwood is also playing well this season. This should be an interesting ball game because Sycamore should actually be in the same district with Creekwood and the other two Cheatham County schools, but TSSAA put them in with an Easter Middle TN district and brought Camden across the river. Go figure.
  16. It will be interesting to see how District 11AA plays out the rest of the way. I don't really see Stewart County losing another game, they should finish 8-2 overall and 4-2 in the district. Is that good enough to get them in? If it goes as is, I don't see Camden losing to anyone in District 11AA, so they should run the table and get the auomatic bid in 3A. Creekwood is having a solid season, but can they finish strong? Montgomery Central has renewed enthusiasm and should give Creekwood a run for their money in 4A. I may be way off base, but any thoughts would be welcomed.
