Change your linebacker to Dickinson and take off Ericson, Dickinson just signed with Illinios and Ericson hasn't even played this year. Also put in Caruthers at Offensive line he has been outstanding this year instead of Still. Toby Baker should be your punter. Add Hunter Long, Trey Becton from Briarcrest. For CBHS add Matt Murphy at DE and they also have a good running back there.

Actually Braden is playing pretty decent. He got lucky early in the year and got to start the first few games because the player ahead of him had Appendicitis. However, he is now in the rotation and MUS should be a much better team next year. They are really young only one senior starting on the offensive line. This past week Braden got revenge on White Station and they are improving each week. They should have beaten Olive Branch easily, the worst game I have ever seen them play. Not sure how far they will go in the playoffs but I sure wouldn't want to be the team that plays them.

If Devrin Young is half the player Julian Burton from White Station was last year then Bearden should kill Maryville. Somehow I just don't think he is. But tomorrow could prove me wrong.

MORON You Maryville guys are like the kid who got his tail whipped and still never shuts up. Face it Maryville, you guys are not that good. I know it is hard to accept, but after all these years you guys have finally been exposed. Step up your schedule and play some opponents who will give you a match. Play some DII schools and really see how good you guys are. It would not be pretty. We did it, it made us better for it too.

Wow, didn't realize how much bigger MBA was than MUS. That MUS defense has good pursuit. You could tell on MUS's first drive of the 2'nd half that they were the better team. They just executed like a professional team on that drive. MBA played hard but was just out matched in this game.

Hi General E....I read your post and felt compelled to reply. 1st, allow me to apologize for the actions of that lineman. I wasn't at the game, so did not witness the action. However, I have been to many of our practices and all of our games until I had my leg broken in Brentwood, so couldn't make the final. Anyway, I've seen some things that reflect poor taste and bad sportsmanship on occassion. Overall, our players don't fit that description. I hope your judgement towards our players and program would remain at least nuetral in that regard, and understand it was most likely an isolated incident from one person. We both have very fortunate kids playing ball. Most programs have young men working hard year around to reach this final game. Only 2 teams make it there. There are no losers in this senario....simply one team outscored the other. While I'm very happy WS came out of this ahead, I feel for the young men in Maryville. I hope they are proud of their accomplishments of moving up to 6A and going this far. They never quit, and forced our offense to keep scoring also. Regarding "volunteercoach"......I find 90% (or more) of what he says to misrepresent the sentiments of everyone I know that supports WS. Quite frankly, I cringe and find myself embarrassed by his posts. The only thing worse than a sore loser, is a sore winner......although I'm not sure he can even be classified as a winner, sore or not. What is wrong with you? My gosh Alcoa guy over here saying they would hang with MUS? Give me a break, I was at the Alcoa vs Milan game and there is no way in the world that Alcoa team could even come close to beating MUS or MBA. It is just night and day the level of athletes DII has over most of the public schools. MUS man handled us with their Starting QB and RB out of the game and we destroyed Maryville from your area. Come on, get off the crack buddy. Maryville and Alcoa would be middle of the road teams in the DII conference. MBA, MUS, CBHS, Ensworth, and Brentwood would all beat them.

Pretty crazy that 13-2 and a state-runner up is a rebuilding year. I underestimated White Station. I knew they'd be athletic, but their coaches had a simple, but very effective game plan. I tip my visor to the White Station coaching staff. They came up with a gameplan that worked and adjusted when need be. And, they caught every break....and you can never discount the importance of that in championship games. The bad snap on the punt that turned into a first down, the fumble on the int, the onside kick going 4 and a half yards.....at some point you just have to say "it ain't our night" and it definitely was White Station's. Did you really say that White Station caught all the breaks? Are you kidding me? You call 10 to 1 penalties and 2 touch downs being called back breaks? Man you Maryville fans kill me, first you guys act like you are some high and mighty program before the game and think you are going to kill us and now it is we caught all the breaks. Unbelievable.

Congratulations on a great 1st post. You are exactly right MHS's defense is horrible, #15 is a terrible QB. It was just a good thing WS got to play this incredibly untalented team because they might not of had the talent to make a good team make these same mistakes. This post is not intended to disrepect WS. I was being sarcastic. Maryville had a very good team this year and one of the best QBs in the state. We made mistakes due to the great effort by WS. The Maryville QB is not one of the best in the State. In fact, he is not even close to being one of the best QB's in the State. This year I saw our QB, the MUS QB, the Chattanooga Baylor QB, and several other QB's much better than the Maryville QB. I am going to say it again; Maryville is a good team for where they play. However, if they were in the DII conference they would be middle of the road at best. That is not downplaying you guys that is just what I see having seen your team play and those teams in DII. You guys remind me of Briarcrest who we played this year. That would be a good game, but MUS, CBHS, Ensworth, MBA, and Brentwood would beat you guys. Sorry it offends but it is reality.

Your team would stand no chance at all against the DII teams such as MUS, CBHS, Ensworth, MBA, and Brentwood. You are slow and have average athletes. We would haven beaten you guys a lot worse if you didn't have the refs on your side. Even they tried their best to keep it close but gave up when they saw you guys had no chance. CONGRATS to White Station , great game and what outstanding athletes #11 & # 4 were ! Volunteercoach , maybe now that your team has actually won 1 State Championship , you can now start learning about winning and losing with ..... CLASS . Maryville congratulates you on your win , and now we will start working on getting back here again next year , and hopefully we can meet again . I wished you would have showed a little class before the game instead the trash talk you posted all week. Maybe next time you will after getting your brains beat out tonight. The guy that you're quoting isn't even a Maryville fan, so why would he be trying to make excuses for their loss? I'm not a Maryville fan either, but they're a well-coached, talented football team. White Station was the better team tonight, but don't fool yourself into thinking that Maryville wouldn't beat the "elite" DII teams on a regular basis. Boy, where is the humility?? Maryville had a great season and didn't quit. Congralulations to both teams. Yeah, go read the Maryville -vs- White Station thread and see if you find any humility from the Maryville fans post before the game.

Sorry Maryville, you guys played well and were a good opponent, but your team would not even be in the top 1/2 of teams we played this year. Nothing against you guys, but you are very mediocre team. It is cold here, these refs really scare me. White Station should be up 2 or 3 touch downs if it weren't for all these penalty flags. Come on Refs call a fair game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What's really funny rollredroll is we will never know? Maybe MUS would beat Alcoa but that just opinions at this point. As for the 177 total yards of offensive. Alcoa was pretty vanilla and only threw the ball one time but if the other team doesn't score you can't lose (bottom line). I would put Alcoa's defense up against any in the state. I do know how we could settle this debate in future years. MBA,MUS,BA OR ENSWORTH schedule the Tornadoes in 2011 and 2012. We will need 2 teams to play in those years and would love the challenge. That way we won't be on the computer all night thinking of the match-ups. However I don't believe any of these teams would schedule the F5. As just a casual observer of watching both MUS and Aloca play this week as I am up for the White Station game, I don't even see how that game would be close. MUS would probably beat Alcoa pretty easy maybe by 3 or 4 TD's. Alcoa was not near the team MBA was. Really not even close. MBA would also beat Alcoa. Alcoa is a good public school team, but they would be middle of the road in the DII league in my opinion.

I agree with you guys, what makes good teams is playing good competition. These teams make each other better and I applaud them for scheduling the tough opponents. Congrats to MUS and also MBA which played a very fine game last night and has nothing to be ashamed of.

Great Season MUS, #6 in the country and undefeated State Champs. All of Tennessee should be proud. Now pull in the Spartans!!
