Got rid of a part time coach to go after another part timer. Stupid idea of building a "Home" field that's further away from their current "Home" field at Murvul College too. Save the money - there is a shortfall this year anyway. I don't need my property taxes to go up again for a sport the Maryville AD and most of the football crazy city couldn't care less about anyway.

Well now - about time they expected more than mediocrity in a program that has been floating along the last 10-15 years or so. Hopefully they will actually go hire a full time coach this time instead of a couple of part timers and volunteers.

Ole Peppy can't help opening his trolling mouth/posts - he was raised in an outhouse and that's the way he breathes.

TD Blackmon at Maryville will be a special player after he finishes up football season (starting middle linebacker on #1 ranked football team). Spencer Lowe would also get good minutes but unfortunately hurt his knee and will be out for a while. Maryville has some talented freshmen but several are hurt and should be another year before they are all able to play together again after finishing the last 2 years 45-3. Names like Matt Young, Jack Bristol, Oakley Garrett, Isaac Keller, Nick Quigg to go along with TD Blackmon and Spencer Lowe will be a force for years to come. But, as others have said, Catholic is going to be very strong too. Many of our boys played against them this past year in AAU - talented and smart.

Shane is a terrific coach and a great guy. My son was coached this past AAU season with him and enjoyed playing for him.

No that is not anything like slave labor but after reading Planet High School yesterday and JG wanting all the baseball players not playing football to stay after the WB game an extra 2 hours to clean the stadium, I'd say it's more like share cropping. If the baseball players don't have their own field to work and clean, how about coming over to the Football field and work on it for practically nothing. Yeah, that's it - share cropping.
