But the system is the system. White Station played a tough schedule and it almost kept us out of the playoffs. So some teams have to do it like the SEC where all games are hard, and others do it like TCU and Boise State. Play the people you have to play and try and win them all. But tonight the discussion ends and we get to find out just how good all of these teams are.

I think all of the games will be good ones tonight. Quad 3 is tough, but quad 4 is no joke either. Quad 3 is so tough that the winner may come out really banged up and if the quad 4 team is healthy it should be a war. Good luck to all the teams tonight, and may the force be with you.

The first time we played it was a 14-13 game in the fourth quarter. We turned the ball over and gave them a short field, and Whitehaven scored. 2 plays later a ball off of one of our receivers helmet was intercepted and returned 22 yards for a touchdown. Then down 2 scores with 3:20 to go we had to go for it on 4th and 7 and did not get it. That lead to a short field again and a touchdown. So those 3 turnovers were the biggest difference in the game. If we control ourselves this could be a great game, if not then it wont be close.

I do not know if you can call any of the games in quad 4 a lock. I think the top seeds may be favored, but all of the lower seeds are just good enough to get it done. This Friday should be fun in West TN.

We are not quite the same team they faced earlier this year, but I am sure they have improved also. They are clearly a very athletic team and we have to do everything right to compete. If we control mental mistakes, and do not turn it over, then this game may come down to the fourth quarter. On the other hand, last time they scored 18 points in less than two minutes so they are explosive. I do believe that White Station and Brentwood are very dangerous 8 seeds and could shock some people.

Thanks for the ups on the coaching staff. We have made some changes and continue to get better, and I think it will be a good game no matter the outcome. Its always fun to see these two teams line up and battle. Good luck to both teams and I hope the field holds up. Last time we played there it was not good and all this rain is sure not gonna help it.

I am interested to hear what others think of this game. They beat us once this year 32-13.

I agree to some extent that middle tn has some advantages in this 4 quad system. But once the playoffs start, you just have to beat the team in front of you. Its does not matter where you go in the brackets, you have to play the best teams to make it to Cookeville. That being said, last year we heard the same things about middle tn teams. We heard how great they were and that no teams could play with them. My son plays for White Station and he said the best teams we played all last year were MUS then Brentwood. He said that Whitehaven was even better than Maryville. But all everyone kept saying was that we could not compete. Man was our team speed dominant. So just because west tn does not get the exposure and talk, does not mean we can not compete. This year we are young and learning and have Whitehaven first round. We will do our best and see what happens. Good Luck to all and let the boys stay injury free.

Well it looks like White Station made it in and has been improving every week. This is a rematch of a pretty good game played earlier this year. Maybe we can shake things up a bit?

White Station does have to win this week to get into the playoffs. I know in years past, that two teams from the same district can not play in the first round of the playoffs. If this is correct, then if WS wins we would play at Brighton. Does anyone know if this still applies?

Most West Tennessee teams do not get the respect they deserve here. Last year when White Station was going to play Maryville for State it was awful. After we won, most of the comments were about how Maryville did not play well and not how well we played. So get used to it if you want to read these boards. This year we are fighting for our lives and every week is a playoff game. We have played the strongest competition this year and lost some close games but we are young and learning. Hopefully we can win our last 2 games and make the playoffs.

Don't count White Station out. Last year Whitehaven was suppose to be a lot better but we were able to win both games. This years game will be a good one.

According to a lot of people on this message board, no West Tennessee team had a chance to win the gold ball. At least now we are getting some respect. The White Station vs Whitehaven game is gonna be a war but the battle will help those teams later in the year. Good luck to all the West TN teams.

I think that WS is clearly ready. I know that this is a big stage to play on, and that we have never been here before. But after watching film, I think that this will be a close game. MHS is very disciplined and does not make a lot of mistakes, but team speed is clearly not a strength. This may be totally opposite with us. But in the last few games our penalties and turnovers have been controlled, and if we can continue this trend we will be in any ballgame. I know all the MHS fans are saying that we do not stand a chance, and this is going to be a blow out. The Brentwood people said the same thing. Just maybe we are better than people think we are. GO SPARTANS!!!
