Yeah the 2-3 zone is lethal up there when shooting seems very difficult. Same teams have been up there and struggled with his zone. Wouldn't surprise me if it causes a bunch more problems. I think they will have a shot to win it again because of the 2-3 zone. They will be opposite Gibson County or Peabody. I do think Gibson County has done well with it this year but I think other teams may not be as fortunate. Gibson County has played them 11 times in 3 years and opponents in Murfreesboro maybe 1 or 2 or 0.

UC it would be if it happens. I am enjoying the ride and hopefully we will make it. You know as well as I do it is a blessing to get there. Lots of dogfights along the way. Don't make any difference who you draw this year it will be tough. York is really good I hear. As is McMinn Central and Gatlinburg Pittman. We had our chances with McMinn last year up 5 with four minutes left and the ball. Thought about it all year. But like I said it is a blessing to get there and an everyday gift if you win it.

Westview will have the much easier route. Gibson County will play Peabody in the semis providing both advance and it will be a dogfight as always. When you have 3 good teams in the District and the other District is not as good always good to be second as Westview has done the last two seasons.

Tournament Time can be crazy. Never know. That is the reason they play the games. Good win for Alcoa.

I agree 110%. I have a ton of respect for the Upper Cumberland. Seen a ton of Gold Balls come out of there. I think our area feels the same way. I think our area plays a lot of each other in scrimmages throughout the year and even runs into some of y'all in the offseason. Just think we feel like we are ready to play whoever and I know y'all feel the same way. Lots of Gold Balls from a small mileage area in both sections. Both areas have seen Gold Balls and are not intimidated by any team.

We played them last year and she got in foul trouble a couple of times that cost them and against USJ in one of our Tournmanets she got in foul trouble early. She may have it under control and that is good because without her they are a different team.

KK will get going. 23 will shoot better too. Shot like that and still won by double digits. What were the Turnovers for both teams?? Crockett turned it over a bunch and Dyersbirg didn't. Dyersburg also rebounded well.

I agree Fayette Ware could have a chance with the right refs and if everything falls their way. South Gibson benefitted from losing last night big time. They for sure would have had major problems with Dyersburg. Lewis had a big game and got hot last night. I think they will beat Fayette Ware and have a decent shot at Crockett County. Crockett will have to control Turnovers for them to get to state. I think South Gibson has a good shot to make it.

Dyersburg is really good. They are very athletic. They were 0 for whatever last night from 3 point land and still won by 12 or so. They can defend big time. I think one of the two Dyersburg or White County are the favorites. Dyersburg is loaded with talent.

If they start shooting the ball better, look out. They are not shooting great right now. Their press is relentless. Crockett never could get in a rhythm with that pressure, I think they will be tough to beat for whoever even without Crawford. Lots of talent out there now. I pray that Crawford comes back and can get healthy. Crockett and South Gibson will play for a spot in Murfreesboro, IMO. Dyersburg and Obion will play for a spot as well. District is really good. Huntingdon will be hard to beat as well especially if Kee stays out of foul trouble.

Happens a bunch. TSSAA needs to go to 8 Regions and have accurate seeds. No one will ever do it like Riverdale did it but I have been watching ball my whole life and teams just happen to play their worse games of the year when it benefits them the most. Missed layups, careless Turnovers, missed FT's...just a convenient lack of focus.

I would think that guarding the 6'1 post would be really tough for Mckenzie. I would also say the mental edge would go to Mckenzie because they have beaten them twice in the State Finals. I would say the longer Mckenzie hangs around in this one the better chance they have if they indeed play. No disrespect to the first round opponents.

I watched the second half on X Sports. Never know what will happen when these two meet. Cannon County looks to be the cream of the crop in the other District.. Ought to be interesting. Who has the Region this year??

I think just doing 8 Regions would keep it more honest because the Region play the true seeding would be accurate. When you have a tough District and the other District is terrible teams actually get penalized for winning District Championships. Number of games would probably be inline you just wouldn't have a District Tournament due to more teams.

When you find a schedule post it if you don't mind.

Greenfield lost in 2018 in the District Championship to Gleason and put us in the same bracket. Wayne County will have to put their big pants on early this year. Mckewen is a good team. I seen them at Bethel. Where is the Region at because I would love to go watch it??

Y'all won the District pretty easy. Some times coaches don't want to show their cards for film...etc...Dyersburg went on a 35-4 run in a heartbeat. I thought their press was executed to perfection. So they obviously had been working on it in practice. Dyersburg has more talent probably than anyone in the state in AAA. Last night should be their wake up call.

If Dyersburg presses they will beat any team there by double digits, IMO. They are not a good half court team, IMO but they did have some good possesions in the half court but they are much better playing fast and creating space in the open court. They have a lot of talent. Prayers for Crawford as well that she gets well. I thought South Gibson would press some but they didn't and Crockett was turning it over some in the half court. South Gibson plays good defense and I predict they will be really good the next four years as their Jr. High is loaded. South Gibson is not a good half court team either. They need to try to get in transition more and play faster, IMO. Really good District. Will be interesting the next two games Monday Night. Y'all's District will likely replay each other in the Region. Dyersburg I just don't think can be touched around here when they are engaged. Credit to Obion for hitting big shot after big shot and staying in the game. Great shooting night and performance. Crockett played well as their defense really created a lot of havoc. The girl guarding Dunn up top kinda set the tone. Thought Dunn handled the pressure pretty good but I thought Crockett's defense was just a little better than South Gibson's. South Gibson's buckets seemed harder to come by. 14 for Crockett is a big time player.

Two good games. Dyersburg plays fast and presses and uses their pressure, speed and athleticism they will be tough to beat. They play a half court game they are subject to lose IMO. South Gibson and Crockett County great game that Crockett just made a few more shots. Four good teams.

Wouldn't suprise me King. Probably a safe bet to say one of Mckenzie, Wayne County and Pickett County. But I wouldn't count out Moore County and Richland either to throw a wrench in the party. Richland has beaten Loretto and Moore County is tough as well.

I told Coach Wilkins last night it is a blessing to get there and a double blessing to win it. Lots of battles in season to get good seeds and big time Tournament games to get there. Summertown had beat Loretto 3 times a couple of years ago and got hot at right time and beat them at state and won it. There are favorites but you really never know. Just got to get there. Underdog lots of times does well.

I have heard mixed reports on knee. I will be there in action to watch them tonight so we will find out tonight. Prayers for her that she heals and can get back to action. Gibson County Westview Saturday Night as both teams advance. Gibson County beats Ripley and Westview Peabody went down to the wire as both teams battled. Big win for Westview. Huge games tonight as Crockett County South Gibson possibly battle for the inside track to Murfreesboro. Dyersburg Obion winner will be big as will the South Side McNairy winner. South Side and Dyersburg will be favored. South Gibson Crockett will likely be a four quarter dogfight. Tonight's action will be big. Good luck to all. Think I may head to Crockett to check them out.
