Some people actually questioned the man's coaching abilities when he was at Alcoa rolling through championships. They forgot the jobs that he did at Smith County in the 80s and at Riverdale in the 90s through the mid 00s. It didn't take him long at all to put Boyd in the state championship.

Jim Wilson won at Glencliff when he had CJ Johnson, CJ Scott, and Shaun Scales & Co. and they made their run to the 5A state championship game (1999 I believe).

This game could be played in Mars or Pluto and the result is still not changing. The clock will run for the entire duration of the second half.

In comparison to Williamson, Rutherford, Sumner, and Wilson Counties I would say that Montgomery County isn't on the same level.

This is not the first time this has been mentioned on here. Many people believe: Henry County got away with playing Clarksville-Montgomery County 5A for several years when they should have been playing Williamson County 6A along with Dickson County. Dickson County was thrown to the wolves those years while Henry County was able to beat up on the sheep.

East Nashville is good enough to potentially knock off Alcoa this year and that’s the case because they actually can function in all three parts of the game.

I expected a lopsided win but not by that amount. Nobody could have ever guessed that would happen. Riverdale’s 2023 season was great. They just unfortunately had Oakland’s complete attention last night.

I don’t know why people still talk about this topic but I can’t help myself after seeing the latest responses. It was not a game. It was not ever going to be a game. Oakland could have beaten MJ with their JV team and just given their regular starters the night off to relax or go catch a movie. Maybe Mt. Juliet should focus on basketball since they’ve been practicing at full strength now for over a week.

Page will beat Southwind by 2 scores. if the clock malfunctions they’ll beat Southwind by 4 scores.

I stated before the playoffs that Station Camp and Marshall County both being region opponents would play Pearl-Cohn in more competitive games the second time around. The Firebirds responded to the challenges from their tough region foes and are now 2 wins away from a state championship. Congrats to Coach Brunetti & Co. and good luck in the state semifinals next week. Next week will mark the 10th time that the Firebirds have practiced football on Thanksgiving Day under Coach Brunetti.

Congrats to East Robertson on going to Carthage and getting a win tonight.

Good Luck to Coach Creasy & Oakland when they hopefully get to play another worthy opponent next week. I'm sure the work their JV team got in the 1st two rounds of the playoffs paid off big time in the second half tonight against a good team.

Grow up with your childish comebacks and accept the fact that Oakland didn't take Gallatin or Mt. Juliet as seriously as they took Riverdale. It showed. Enjoy your win over Rockvale and be happy. Oakland's players probably didn't even practice until Friday afternoon before they got on the bus and went to Wilson County and put you out of your misery. Until then they probably used the week as an extra week to prepare for a real opponent.

If this Oakland team shows up it's 63-0/70-0 at halftime.

They were clearly already peaking ahead to Riverdale when they played Mt. Juliet. I mean no disrespect by that statement. I said since the end of the regular season that this was the only one that was on Oakland's radar after blowing a 17-0 lead.

Oakland is playing the game that everyone waited to see from them this entire season.
