Looks like Mr Football George Quarles has been out coached so far in the second half. Might just be that the 2 string QB for Oakland has settled and playing Oakland football!!!! Not bad for a team missing their leading tackler and starting QB and their kicker with a broken foot.

You are right!!!! That's why you go to the regular season opponents and Maryville's regular season opponent won 51 games all season long and Oakland's regular season opponents won 54 games. You see in the Playoffs all 5 teams from District 7 that made the playoffs were in the 6A playoffs and put each other out. Riverdale put Smyrna out, Blackman put Riverdale out, Oakland put LaVergne out, and Oakland put Blackman out. No weaker teams in district 7 all are 6A teams. So nobody else could still be playing in the playoffs from district 7. And as I said earlier Maryville's last half of the season (last 5 opponents) won a total of 14 game together all season long and Oakland's last half of the season ( last 5 opponents) won 23 games together all season long, not counting playoff games. Not that hard to figure out. And like a asked earlier how many teams in district 4 made the 6A playoffs? Or is it maybe you guys just do not want to say how many from your great district made the 6A playoffs. LOL!!!!

Well let's see District 7 had 5 teams out of the7 teams in the division make the 6A playoffs. How many teams out of your 8 team great District 4 made the 6A playoffs? DUH!!!! That makes it pretty easy to figure out who has the cupcake schedule and who has the tougher schedule!!!! LOL

Rebels, I just love getting under Maryville fans skin. I know and so does every football fan that follows high school football here Tn. That Maryville has the football program every school in Tn can only dream about and would love to have. Maybe they will not admit it. You guys have great coaching, great discipline, great talent and just seems to win, even if the other team has more talent, you seem to find a way to win. You can tell they are coached by a great and classy person, not just a great coach big difference. Everybody in Maryville should be PROUD of the team and the life lessons these young men are learning. It is just fun to stir the pot. I love it. Let's all hope for an injury free game.

Yes you are right you won those games. I do not think you dominated any of those games like you do in your division. Matter of fact I think Smyrna beat themselves. They missed a field goal in the last seconds of that game from the 10 yard line that would of won the game. Their leading tackler did not even play in that game. he had hand surgery. Mr Robinette got knocked out of the game near halftime with a concussion. So he could not even take a whole game of hard hitting. LOL Try it every game of the season hits like that week in and week out.. Smyrna's running back was even limping at the start of the game bad ankle and he got MVP of the game, Maryville could not stop him. LOL you dominated them didn't you.

LOL If you can not understand your last 5 regular season opponents won a total of 14 games all together all season long, not even a winning average of 3 games a season per opponent. Just shows your intelligence. And I was referring to you scheduling out of state powerhouses or even Ensworth. But I sure you would rather play teams that only average less then 3 wins a season, in your last half of the season, then face someone you might have to play your starter all game. Well let me tell you if a ref does not know the overtime rules and all of us county rednecks did. Because everybody was yelling at them so all the refs huddled up and still did not come up with the right overtime rule. PRETTY BAD!!!! LOL And yes they were from Memphis also!!!!

It was a Memphis crew stated in the paper. You are correct Memphis refs do not even know the rules was at a playoff game two years ago that they did not know the overtime rules and TSSAA had to admit that they made a mistake on Monday but pretty much the same thing happened to the refs one game suspension even tho they might of cost one team moving on because of their mistake, They said they could not do anything about it. Said that TSSAA has no backbone!!!!

Did you see the game? If not watch the game film youself and then report back. The whole game. Tell me honestly you see where Bowers should be suspended. I think you will agree some of the call that were made seemed like they were out to get Ensworth. Sending Ensworth players off the field because of jerseys that had came out (not tucked in ) and then no call on Brentwood for the same thing and letting them play. There was a lot of ghost calls against Ensworth from what I seen and I am not an Ensworth fan just love high school football. No dog in this hunt!!!! What is fair for one is fair for all!!!!

It was on the last play of the game when a Brentwood player shoved an Ensworth player with the ball in the back who was out of bounds at that time, with the clock on 0 which drew a flag. As Bowers was trying to get to his player to see if he was OK there was mutual physical contact by the ref and Bowers see game film video,(it supports this) that was initiated by the ref not violent, but pretty clear and the ref threw his flag an ejected him. Then the ref told Bowers that he would not be coaching next week, which is the Championship game Dec 5th. If you watch the game film you can see the ref had it out for them all game. Just gives afficiating a bad name.

I am sure if he watches the game tape before he makes his decision he will also see the referees had it out for them all game. Conspiracy theory LOL The Memphis referees do not even know the rules!!!! crooked refs as owlbooster put it you said not me. I was at a game in the playoffs in middle Tn 2 years ago when the Memphis referee crew did not even know the overtime rules LOL pretty bad when all the fans knew them and yes TSSAA admitted the refs made a mistake in the playoff game the following Monday but could not do anything about it LOL what a joke. I just do not see a referee not knowing the rules!!!! I say suspend all Memphis referee crews from the playoffs!!!! Make it fair!!!!

As much as I hate to say it, I think Maryville wins this game. I truely believe Oakland would of matched up better with them, I think oakland has better pass defense. Now that being said, if this was the second game between Maryville and Blackman this season, I think Blackman would win. Hope I am wrong just how I see it. I also hope we have a great officiating crew without bad calls that change the outcome of the game, as seen on some of the Gold Ball games last year!!!! I am pretty sure Blackman thinks they can run on Maryville.

Shad is not the BEST COACH by far. His teams can be beat thru the air. I have always said, even the two teams he won State Championships with at Smyrna could of been beaten thru the air. Want to beat the Blaze have a GREAT Passing Game to go along with a descent running game. Watch when they get beat it will be somebody that can pass!!!!
