  1. Although I didn't get to see the first half due to church, I was very excited and proud of both teams. As a long time Sumner County resident, I'm happy to see how high school football has grown in this area. And for the original post, I'm sure Gallatin is a little envious, but they have great tradition that no one can take from them.
  2. Good luck to both teams. Should be fun to watch.
  3. I don't have a final, but my grandson called me and said Greenbrier blew Springfield out. Anyone have a final and details of the game?
  4. CPA wins this one and the next two.
  5. Why did this happen and why isn't anyone from Cheatham County talking?
  6. I agree. Most of these people making accusations and demanding the coach be fired are from "one" red light towns where everybody knows everybody. Memphis is different...very different than county schools. Innocent until proven guilty and coacht posters are not the jury.
  7. They don't play CPA (yet). They play East Nashville.
  8. Is Cheatham County's gym big enough to host a substate game?
  9. As much as I hate to say it...Kenwood or Dickson County win the region.
  10. Beech loses 65-60-played tough just not enough talent this year.
  11. I guess the Portland coach solidified his position for next year. That was a huge upset. Congrats to Portland.
  12. Can anyone tell me about the Beech vs. Gallatin game? I saw where Beech won, holding Gallatin to only 19 points, thats just plain weird. I have been under the weather and have not been able to go to many games so any recap will appreciated. On paper it appears Hendersonville and MJ are the front runners in a weaker than usual district.
  13. Glad to see Hendersonville doing well this year; been a while. The Buc's still have some improving to do if they are even going to get out of the district. Crazy year in 9-AAA.
  14. Its going to be a loooooong year for the Bucs!
  15. Don't count Beech out....
  16. Charter school out of Nashville. Should provide some interesting challanges for 10-A.
  17. It looks like to me, you guys cry more than anyone. Eda
  18. You have got to be kidding me. Bradshaw is a complete player, not just a scorer. He can shoot, handle the ball, drive to the basket and finish, excellent athletic and jumping ability, and excellent peripheral vision which is why he leads his team in assists as well. He rebounds well, dives on the floor for loose balls and draws charges. Like I said, A COMPLETE PLAYER. He is also a straight A student and an excellent young man. There is no one more deserving for this award than Craig Bradshaw. Yes, the votes come from media and sports writers from all over the state (not just Middle ,TN). I’m sure Bradshaw getting MVP in the Arby’s classic helped his case. And you may want to look twice at the schedules; CPA played a much tougher schedule than Stone. I’m very disappointed this thread was even started. Eda
  19. Congratulations to Mt. Juliet, Beech, and Wislon Central. I hated to see Hendersonville bow out so early, but they had a good run. Now, let's get ready for an All 9-AAA Region title game!
  20. What she said! Go Commando's and Buc's!
  21. I would love to see an all Sumner County championship!!
  22. Nobody said Greenbrier was good. In fact both teams I watched play Thursday night were not very good high school teams. I do know this Greenbrier class could have been very good this year before kids transferred or quit or whatever, not sure what all happened. I saw this class play in middle school and I said then and I will say now, they were one of the most fundamental, well coached middle school teams I’ve ever seen play. CPA has one of their former players and is number 1 in the state in AA. But you are wrong about Peach. For his size, he is a very good basketball player. I was simply a neutral observer and I saw an incredible “one man†show by this young man. I mainly follow 9-AAA because I live in Sumner County. However, I know and have associated with people from all over the mid-state in regards to high school basketball. Due to my age, I probably have seen more basketball games than I care to mention and I know a good player when I see one. Peach is a good player. And if he played on my team, he would shoot the ball a lot, it just makes good sense if he shoots like he did the other night; against man to man and pulling up and shooting over taller opponents, driving the lane and hitting floaters, etc. If he is an average high school player, then why is he the leading scorer in 9-AA? He has to be in the top 10 in the mid-state at 22 ppg. An average player would not be a leading scorer, nor would he be able to single handily beat a team. He could be inconsistent, I don't know, but his avg ppg doesn't reflect that. I get agitated when people get on these boards and belittle teenagers. I know people are allowed to express their opinion and I respect that to a certain extent. However, adults and children alike need to understand the concept of humility and the world wide web. Eda
