  1. You look at head to head, then tie breaker rules kick in. C. If at any point when the following tie-breaking procedures are applied, one team has beaten all the other teams that are tied for a play-off position, that team shall be rated above the others. D. In the event of a tie for the region winner, runner-up, third-place, or fourth-place team, if either team(s) has defeated the other(s) in regular-season play, the team(s) shall be rated above the other(s) in the standings. (After the region winner has been determined, the tie-breaker procedure shall begin all over again starting at the top to work out the runner-up position. The procedure shall be repeated to determine the third- and fourth-place teams.) E. The following tie-breaking procedures shall be applied and all regular-season games, both region and non-region, shall count (After each of the following steps have been applied, item C above shall be applied.): 1. The team with the greatest number of victories. 2. The team who plays the greatest number of teams who win 50 percent or more of their games. 3. The team who has the greatest number of victories over teams winning 50 percent or more of their games. 4. The team whose opponents have earned the most victories. 5. The team whose opponents have received fewer defeats. 6. Coin Flip
  2. Figger out some way to do away with the bye week so T$$AA can make more money and they will go for it in a heart beat.
  3. I ain't seen the Squaw's tribe in action, but they sound to be solid all around, and that Coach Cain is a smart boy. They won't be much for the tin heads, but I'd love to welcome the Goon Squad to Dogtrot the Friday after Thanksgivin'. Booger's team ain't too good. Some of you fellers will remember the night up at the barn behind Bledsoe County. The night y'all played the "BACK to BACK to BACK District Champion" Warriors. That wuz the night I went crowd surfin' at the fifty yard line durin' the National Anthem. Not intentional and no disrespect intended on my part. The ole Hermit is no longer with us, but I can still show you fellers where to have a good time in the Sequatchie Valley.
  4. I hate to say it, but you will probably see the best 3A team Chattanooga has to offer this year. I doubt Booger is gonna get that rematch he wants with you tin heads.
  5. The Goon Squad is available for hire. They'll come on here and heckle your opponent for cheap. They'll even work for free when you play Booger's leprechauns.
  6. You obviously haven't seen them in person. But then I haven't seen Sequatchie in person. Red Bank is as good as ND, if not better.
  7. Not sure I would refer to the performance I witnessed last night as a "great win for the Irish". Call it sour grapes if you want, but here goes . . . Charles has a lot bigger problem than Sissy Mountain does right now. Reminds me of the 2010 Trezevant squad. I don't believe the Irish will play Alcoa this year. Furthermore, if the Irish should find themselves in Dunlap the 3rd Friday of November and things don't change, they might get hurt. Just sayin' . . .
  8. That's what Dickie says, but you know Howie! http://www.knoxnews.com/story/sports/high-school/2016/10/13/catholic-stay-division/92002676/
  9. At least Notre Dame had the integrity to switch to D1.
  10. Can I git in on some of that action? They don't pay me crap up here on Sissy Mountain for that.
  11. That don't make sense. If something is a good idea, and everybody involved is okay with it, It would be stupid to not do it now, just because today was the deadline. Tommy just needs to get on the phone and see if everybody is agreeable. It was a Board of Control vote, right? Who says they can't change their mind and reconsider the issue of travel and region structure.
  12. Squaw, You need to give this to yer buddy Tommy Layne. I'm sure he could make this happen if he wanted to. Ain't he Childress's Consigliere?
  13. The T$$AA don't won't to investigate. They won't everbody to play by the rules, and them just sit back and count the money, but that ain't never gonna happen nowhere. That Childress boy (who I don't like so much by the way) is skeer'd of the church. He'll tell you hisself. He says the T$$AA ain't got the money to fight the church. He ain't goin' snoopin' for something he don't won't to find.
  14. Come on, buddy. That wuz some of my finest work.
  15. I get that you don't have Ensworth, MBA, McCallie, Baylor kind of money, but the Church's veil is pretty thin. I know there are lots of good, God fearin' Christian families at KCHS, but y'all gotta come to grips with reality. Y'all are the ones who opted out of the public school system partly for a better academic program. It's all about the resources and the same is true of the athletic programs. Good private schools entice (I didn't say recruit ) some of brightest and most talented kids around academically and athletically. Nothing wrong with that. Y'all just need to embrace it for what it is and go with it. It should be exhilarating for you guys to finally get to run with the big dogs.
  16. I don't think they are running from competition. Their argument that there are no other Div2AAA schools in the Knoxville area and they would have horrible travel schedules in all sports is a legitimate problem for them. However, if you want to act like a big dog, you gotta be able to run with the big dogs. The large privates log a lot of miles between Chattanooga and Nashville. Trips involving Knoxville would be no different.
  17. Can somebody please explain to me how the "Standard Parish Contribution" paid by the church to the school on behalf of a student is not financial aide? As I understand it, KCHS has a "Catholic Student Tuition" and a "Non-Catholic Student Tuition". That's fine. Two different tuition rates for two different classifications of students is no problem. But then there is this "Standard Parish Contribution" that a family can apply for to further reduce their tuition. If the church makes a contribution to the school "on behalf of the family", then the student's Catholic Student Tuition is reduced by an equal amount. Is that not financial aide by the T$$AA definition? I guess technically, they aren't paying a portion of the student's tuition. The student's tuition just gets decreased by an amount equal to the church's contribution. Does this mean that any non-profit foundation can make a contribution to a school on behalf of a student, and the school can then legally discount the student's tuition by an equal amount without that being considered financial aide?
  18. Maybe they should set divisions based upon the size of their endowment funds or the numbers they report on their IRS-990 forms.
  19. As I understand it, unless there is a bona fide change of residence of the family, the student is ineligible for 12 months. Doesn't matter public>private or private>public. The only exception is, d. The student is moving from a boarding school where they are a boarder to the school serving the territory where his/her parents live, or vice versa, provided the student has attended the school he/she is leaving for a minimum of twelve months and provided the principal at the school he/she is leaving indicates in writing that the move is not for athletic or disciplinary reasons. The move must be at the beginning of the school year. (Note: The school must be outside the day school territory of the boarding school.); In the case you mention, where the family truly can no longer afford private tuition, I think that Childress boy (who I don't like so much, by the way) would grant a hardship exemption.
  20. Didn't Mrs. Booger tell you? More like a honey badger in a pit of snakes.
