There is no misunderstanding of how you truly feel about Maryville. I have been reading these post and the underlying message is very clear to me and everyone else on here. Bladerunner you have always been a Maryville hater. Your cry used to be that "Maryville couldn't win state titles if they played with the big boys " (what division does the team you pull for play in now ). Since GQ has proved you wrong with that arguement you move on to "Maryville doesn't play the best in the country "....."GQ is satisfied and does not want to play the best"..... My son loves playing for GQ and that is all that matters to me. I do not care what high school teams are doing in other states.....the Maryville Rebels are playing for and winning State titles....and it has happened MANY TIMES under this coaching staff and IMO it will happen many more.....hopefully my son that is a sophomore will win a State title Saturday evening and hopefully play for more.) I want my youngest who is in the 7th grade to get the same chance during his high school career with this staff. The future looks bright for the up and coming middle school Rebels.....hope you are able to find some success with a small part in your life, so maybe you will quit trying to make yourself look so smart and intelligent by bashing on the Rebels. (You have proved your intelligence over and over with past comments )..... Good day bladerunner may the sun always shine on our "REBELS"

MHS82 you are so right. The routine that the Rebels have with their practice schedule and the attention to detail with every rep is unbelievable. Anyone that is a Rebel fan and has not witnessed a week of practice, it is fun to watch. You can see all of the pieces being laid out and on Friday night GQ and his coaching staff put each piece where it fits best.

Congrats to the West Rebels, hope you all bring the Gold Ball home to East Tennessee. This Maryville Rebel fan will be pulling for you all to win big

Congrats Rebels on a great win. This was a hard fought game with a very good Blackman team. Very impressed with several of their players. Enjoyed the game and the crowd. That is the loudest I have heard the Maryville side in a while. The fans were really into this game and it was fun to be part of a game like this one. Blackman has a very good team and the defense is good as advertised. Blackman had some key players going both ways and I believe that was a big advantage for Maryville . Blackman had players between plays with their hands on their knees and hips, playing both ways seemed to wear them down . Very physical and fast paced game took some of the punch out of these players IMO Looking forward to next week. The Maryville program is on a ride that is unbelievable. Thanks to all the coaches and our players that have worked so hard to earn this great season. All of the long hours during the off season has paid off and these young men give their all to this team . Thank you guys for working hard on the field and in the classroom. Congrats to our Senoirs

Happy Thanksgiving to all of the family's and teams represented on Coach T. I am looking forward to spending this morning in the "cold" watching football practice. A lot of young men across our state never get this opportunity and it is a privilege to watch my son experience this practice. This is his first and hope he has 2 more coming the following years. I want to take time and say how thankful I am for all of the friends I have in the Maryville football family and on Coach T. Very thankful for all of the Maryville coaches that influence these young men everyday on the field and in the classroom. God has truly blessed our family with all the people we have in our lives through our sons going to school and playing football in the Maryville system. Safe travels today during Thanksgiving and also tomorrow for all the fans coming from Blackman to the game. Go Rebels !

Congrats to the Rebels ! The offensive and defensive lines played a great game. #9 was breaking on the ball, awesome job with 3 picks. #9 John David spoke at the FCA Fundraising Banquet and he is a fine young man, very impressed with him off the field also. Great to see him play so well in tonight's game. Buckle down Rebels and work hard this week on the practice field, proud of how well the entire team played.

Congrats to the Blaze, looking forward to next Friday night. Welcome to the Black Hole, hope you all have safe travels on your way to Maryville. Should be a big turnout for both sides. Go Rebels !

I hope the rain does not make it to the Black hole ...... Either with rain or without, Rebels come out of the blocks fast in this game. After the first half last week IMO Rebels will be focused on closing game by halftime. Hope a lot of the young players get plenty of 2nd half plays. Rebels win round 2 of playoffs 49 - 7.

I agree Stars, a lot of good looking backs coming up in the ranks. Future looks bright for the Rebels.

Round 2 next Friday night. Great win tonight when the Rebels were struggling the first half to settle into the flow of the game. Too many dropped passes, fumbles, and miscues during first half. Agree with everyone, #12 had the play of the game with the first down run. Great job by the coaching staff with the halftime adjustments. Go Rebels

Stars , #15 was cleared for contact Tuesday at practice and he does not have to make the 7 AM rehab visits any more. Just wanted to thank you for the note you sent to him while he was working on getting back. I greatly appreciate everyone's prayers and words of encouragement while he recovered from his high ankle sprain. He had a lot of people checking on him daily and we thank you all.

Heard today that #87 will not have to have surgery. Pray that he is able to heal up strong and hopefully be able to play some baseball this spring. He will definetly be missed if he has to be out this season. He is a fine young man and a good baseball player. Will be praying for your son and his surgery this Thursday Stong X. Will check in and see how things go. These injuries seem to be growing every week, hope things have started to swing the other way and some of these players are able to return to football and be ready for baseball.

Congrats to Coach Sentell , Jr , and entire staff on another great season. I would also say congrats to the Southerners on making it to the Super Bowl. I believe they beat Alcoa to advance to the championship game. I have a lot of respect for Coach Winders and his assistant coaches. Good luck to the Lil Rebs Tuesday night. Coach Hunt and his crew are first class. My sons playing for Coach Hunt turned our family into Rebel fans for life. Each year as our boys moved through these programs we would feel blessed to be part of each team and coaching staff. Best of luck Coach Hunt
