I know nothing about Greenback. I’ve watched videos just like the rest of us sideline coaches have. the receiving core and QB are legit.... No denying that. I’m worried about this for LC. LC’s offense is legit as well. They are capable of scoring as fast as a pass happy offense. the only thing I can say I see being a difference is the the O-line and D- line of LC... they have some impact players there... all I can say is.... Go big green!

Humboldt played Jonesboro High School and Fayetteville High School from Arkansas! Both of those teams are good! I hope that we play smart, disciplined basketball!

Humboldt wins 95-54. Could have been really bad, but starters played limited minutes!

Humboldt is up 60-24 at the half. Starters have only played about 9 minutes.

Humboldt should have beat West Carroll a lot worse than they did. It should have been by 2 if not more scores. Every time the Vikings got the ball to the outside, WC couldn't catch them. I thought we would have tried to do alot more to the outside, but we kept it between the tackles. Humboldt has 3 backs that are capable of running to the house on any play. We have 2 backs that have 3+ years experience running the ball and 1 with 2 years experience in the high school level. The o-line is young as well as a first year QB. This offense isn't best suited for the Vikings in my opinion. If Humboldt doesn't change something on the offensive side and give themselves a chance, then it could be ugly fast!

I love my Vikings, but there has to be some change on the Offensive side. I didn't see a single pass in the 2nd half. You CANNOT do that against Milan. They will stack the box and stop us for a loss every play. I am not sold on the WingT offense for the Vikes. We are fast and the WingT doesn't give us the option to get to the corner very much when we run over the tackle every play. I am hoping that we make adjustments this week and play like we are capable Friday! Go Vikes!

Well, Its getting about that time. Fixing to head out of the office and get ready for some football. Praying that both teams be free from injury tonight and it be a hard fought battle with great sportsmanship. If anyone would like to meet up during halftime, let me know! I will be on the field during the game, but wouldn't mind meeting some of you fellas. I don't believe in luck, so I hope Union City has a great night on the field...I just hope My Vikes have a better one! GO VIKINGS!!!

First off, Swo...I dont think anyone is typing what you are reading. No one on here is saying that you guys have no cance. If they are, then it shows how much they know about football. To say that either team has the talent to run off with this one would be a correct assumption. UC is very capable of running away with the game. If the QB plays like he did the last drive of the game against Humboldt, then this game could be ugly...quick. To say Humboldt is not capable of that same thing would be crazy. We were on the brink of ending the game with a score before a flag called back a TD and a dropped pass on the next play would have been a first down. I believe Humboldt is more head strong this time around. I see things on the sidelines that I didnt see during the regular season. I understand that you guys have played the run well this year, but you havent played the run game of Humboldt (now) who has rushed for over 600 yards in 2 playoff games. Its definitely more that it was the first go around. Don't think that I am some Humboldt coach that is on here just running my mouth, because I am no coach. just a proud supporter of my alma mater. with that being said, I am not stupid so I know that UC will be well prepared for everything that Humboldt has to throw at them... I am expecting a great game and pray that there are no injuries in this game.

I am a true blue Humboldt Fan. Will be for the rest of my life. With that being said, Go Vikings. I can only hope that the boys will show up Friday and play. Now, lets be honest... McKenzie, we let them do what they wanted to in the 1st half... and the 2nd half, we allowed 7 yards of offense. Union City, we spotted you most of your points the first half. Giving you the ball on the 1. Going for it on 4th down inside our own thirty. and a late field go where we should have ran more clock out... we also came out and threw a pic the 1st play of the 2nd half... a fantastic play by the QB won you guys the game...(not taking any credit from you, because you guys are the best team I have seen this year.) I have no clue what happened at the Halls game, but seems to me we just counted them out... Trenton, we gave them 21 points in the 1st quarter and a half and then they could do nothing the rest of the game...went for two to win the game and didnt get it. I can only imagine how awesome Friday will be. If Dresden gets up big, we may not be able to pull back in this one. Humboldt is no doubt a 2nd half team... Dresden is a great football team and will be smart enough to kill 2nd half momentum that the Vikes usually get. Play hard, play smart, and have fun. Praying for a safe, injury free game for both teams. Go Vikings!

Agreed. What is not being realized is that Humboldt went up 25-0 and quit. I am not taking any credit from LC becasue they played outstanding Fottball in the 2nd half and deserved to win the game. I was on the sidelines that night, and saw what happened first hand. they started putting in the youngsters way to early and it bit them in the butt. Humboldt's first year coach hasn't realized that you cannot quit in the first quarter no matter the score, especially with how LC ALWAYS plays Humboldt. My challenge this week goes to the coaches. they have to keep the boy's focus on the game. End of Story! Humboldt will play Friday night and will win convincingly. Go Vikings.

Big Swo, we definitely have nothing but respect for the Tornadoes and believe me, if Humboldt comes in lazy, you guys will have the 3rd string in by the 2nd half. I can only hope for a great game.

The thing I love most about High School sports is that anything can happen. I do not want to take any credit from LC beccause they played extremely well but what I saw from the Humboldt coaching staff and the players after going up 25-0, was a team that just simply quit. Again, not taking anything thing from LC because they brought it the entire night. Now, on to the UC game. Please, please do not expect the same team. Humboldt does get a little lazy at times, but they have the ability to take the game completely over. I am not saying that they will do this, but they have the ability with 3 or 4 players. Humboldt has not played a team that will run it right down their throats, so I am very interested in seeing how it goes. I can see how people would want to post a score of UC by 2 or 3 scores, but don't jump the gun. Let the boys play the game. Its going to be a hard hitting slug fest if you ask me. If Humboldt can throw the ball like I know they are capable, the run game will open up. I am going to say that Humboldt's QB play will be very critical in this one on the offensive side. Humboldt's LB's are going to have to stop getting sucked in to the middle. They are getting tied up in the line and can't get out to make a play. As far as NCS, you have no dog in this race. you have had a total of 3 winning seasons in the last 10 years. I would have went back farther but I think I have proved my point. no disrespect, just stating facts.

87, I agree with you about this guy. Always seems to be looking for a chance to put the Vikes down..just my opinion. Humboldt's Schedule Strength may be pretty weak, but don't take away the talent of the kids. I will say i had my doubts and concerns about this year's team, but the whole atmosphere is different in the field house and on the sidelines this year. I like what I see. Now as far as UC goes, from what I see and read, they are a great football team. Humboldt will definitely have their hands more than full. But the reality of it is, anything can happen on any given night. thats why I love sports. you never know what is going to happen. As far as McLilly, don't expect him to play. If he does, then great. If he don't, thats fine too. We have done just fine so far this year. he will only add to the explosiveness of the Offense. Good luck to all the teams the rest of the year.

I do not post much, but after reading some of these ridiculous posts, I thought I would chime in... Humboldt is a very good, talented football team. The Rebels are every bit as good if not better. Big test for the Vikings this week. I have been holding off on my opinion thus far, waiting on the Vikes to play this game so that I can judge them against a worthy opponent. I will not comment about the Rebels casue I have not seen them play this year, therefore what I say would be an invalid point. The Vikings are a different team this year. New coaching staff and all. I have liked what I have seen most of the time. "IF" and thats a huge IF, the Vikings can hold on to the ball, I see this being a great football game. If they do not, then it will be ugly quick. Humboldt has alot of big play potential as they always do. I do not see the Vikes lining up and running it down your throat. They might try, but its not their best offense. I am looking forward to this game. Good luck to both teams, and may this be an injury free contest.
