  1. This game will come down to two things, in my opinion. One, who has the fewest turnovers, and two, who will have the most big plays. I know it is basic football but I truly believe this game will come down to that. Both teams are explosive and can score from anywhere. Hillsboro passes the ball I little better, but Springfield may have the better overall running game. I will have to go with the Jackets in a barn burner, 34-28.
  2. Bin Laden could have hid there the way that video portrays things, . Every city, and probably small towns now too, have some degree of what that video shows. Sad to think that a lot of those in that video, and other situations elsewhere, were once great athletes that chose the wrong path instead of using their skills to make a better choice.
  3. The name changed, but remain the same......?
  4. Thanks for the update. Knew he hurt his arm but never knew the extent of the injury.
  5. Go to the Springfield-Rossview thread. He is on there close to the end.
  6. From a Springfield point of view, Rossview is a power running team. They go mostly from the gun with one or two backs and/or one or two wideouts. Their running backs are excellent. They do not have their outstanding QB who hurt his knee early this year. They do not pass a lot. All this chatter has been fun and interesting on this thread, and if we weren't playing at Hillsboro it would be tempting to make the drive down to Memphis.
  7. I am not from WH but was in the visitor's press box when Springfield played there. It was warm then but there was no air conditioning. You may want to bring a space heater just in case. There is electricity in the box.
  8. I do not think the stupid penalties will occur like they did in the Rossview game. There was a lot of emotion stemming from last year's game at Rossview that led to a lot of emotion that caused most of those penalties against Rossview. When did Talleyrand get injured? He did not play against Hillsboro when Rossview played them correct? I know some others were suspended but wasn't sure about him. What exactly happened to Rossview's receiver that was injured against Springfield? It looked like a possible broken arm from where I was. Hope it wasn't too bad.
  9. We Springfield fans appreciate all of the support from our 10AAA counter parts. I wish there were more Hillsboro fans on here to make this thread more entertaining. As I and others have already said, Springfield, if we play as we did against Gallatin, should be able to give the Burros all they want.
  10. What happened to Red Warrior, Drew? I haven't seen anything from him in a long time.
  11. I have been by the school many times but never have attended a game there. Not looking forward to the traffic, but on a positive note, good food will not be hard to find!
  12. Were the Catfish House and/or The Depot as good as they usually are?!
  13. I believe Springfield will give Hillsboro all they want. We may even pull out a victory. The Jackets can do it, especially if they play like the did in the 3rd quarter against Gallatin. We came out in the 3rd down 7-6 and by midway through the 4tf it was 34-14. I think any Green Wave fan in attendance would agree that the Springfield team they saw in the 2nd half is no joke. Let the doubters and naysayers just keep on keeping on. Springfield fans know what they have in their football team and I would bet we have more fans at Hillsboro next week than the Burros do.
  14. If you were sitting there at halftime, I was the guy that came up in the black Springfield pullover and hat that stood there and talked to the Commish for about 5 minutes.
  15. There is Rossview thread farther down on this same page that has more detail from the Springfield side of things. Like all things, there are two sides to every story, and the truth lies somewhere in the middle. I would like to thank the Rossview poster for his support.
  16. Commish, be politically correct. It is Rossview, not Clarksville Rossview.
  17. Springfield was missing one of its two QBs when they played these two common opponents, which severely hampered the offense. He came back against Gallatin and the difference was amazing. That being said, I do not like to compare scores. I think it is more a game of match ups. I do not know how Springfield matches up with the Burros, and Hillsboro may very well win by two or more TDs, but it would not surprise me in the least if Springfield won. The Jackets are resilient if anything.
  18. I haven't seen Hillsboro play, but let everyone just keep counting Springfield out. I think this will be a great game.
  19. Rumor is Springfield is wanting to keep playing Clarksville. Hope that works out! Is Shelbyville that good?
  20. Pull hard GWAVE1, we will need all the help we can get. Just like tonight's game, though, Hillsboro better not overlook Springfield. Looking forward to coming to the Wave Yard next year. FYI, #42 Gardner is only a sophomore. He is a super kid too.
  21. Did Munford bring all those charter buses? And would it be wrong to start a Millington Got Screwed thread since they had to travel to Lawrence County,
  22. No doubt dropping down will be beneficial in the long run. We are keeping the Gallatin game though. A great rivalry that will keep going.
