Please pray for the South Greene community and football team. They had a player pass this morning from a ATV accident yesterday afternoon.

The kid from Martin Westview will win it, but he has to have 2 more sit at the table with him. The Myers kid at South Greene is having another great year. Thrown for over 1400 yes and 16 td's thru 7 games, and ran for over 500 yards and 10 td's.

If HV, Hampton, and SG all finish 3-1, it goes to head to head, since that would not fix it, it goes to overall record, and SG will have the top seed, Hampton second, and HV 3rd. only way this changes no matter what happens is if Hampton loses to Cosby, then HV and Hampton switch.

Luke Myers- QB-Junior South Greene High School 2,012 total yds 1105 passing yds on 72 for 95 and 13 TD’s .1 INT 907 rushing yds on 117 carries and 16 TD’s. accounted for 29 TD’s. Defense- Luke plays Strong Safety, he has 30 tackles, 3 for loss, 4 INT’s and 2 of those for TD’s. These stats are thru 9 games.

Can Oneida just realize they got beat by a team that they thought they just had to show up and beat. The best part is calling the chain crew cheaters. If you they were cheating in this instance, they would have been caught. There was a clip, the refs were in charge, and they made all the calls. The chain moving means nothing with the clip on the chain. If you think you got cheated, it was the play before on the spot on 3rd down, not the 4th down call. The bad spot was the play that cost the drive.

They are kept on side away from home side where filming is done, so yes, SG moved away from the home side in the 80's, so thats why they are on that side.

Think there was a measurement on that play, thats how close it was.

What people are not realizing, the chains move in the video, thats for sure, but, chains are set, then they are moved back off the sideline, the clip on the chain at the marked yard line is there to judge things such as a measurement or even chains moving. Chains move all the time. Runners coming out of bounds and so forth. The clip is there to save the day.

Crow, you are correct, if SG kept to what they were doin in first half, they would have been beat, they did open the play book, no chip, and not stirrin pot, just thought the video game comment about the trick play was uncalled for, not upset or anything. Just didnt like that comment.

Bitter,bitter,bitter. Crow, you must not watch much high school football. There is a team up the interstate from you that ran a trick play every game. That would be Meadows when he was at Maryville. He did it often in state championship games. Oneida must not have watched enough film, SG fan option all year. The coaches just made an adjustment at half time to run a different set against your defense, which was a great defense. Your coach does well on that side of the ball. Yes, you were demeaning with that quote, but thats ok, win, lose, or draw, SG is in quarters, and your team is at home.

East Tennesse will be stronger with a tradition rich South Greene dropping down. Just 3 years removed from 2 straight AA final four apperances.

Hampton and Cloudland are 2 great programs with lots of tradition, but I would not count out the new kids on the block , the Rebels. With 8 straight years and no conf. loses, how do you not pick Hampton to win conference til someone knocks them off.

Randomname, just wondering what you thought of sg joining region 1, they have been in a tough district, and i think they get most of the team back. Should be nice to get some new blood in the region.
