  1. 31-1 on week 6 of the high school East Tennessee Football Season. Be thinking and praying for all of our neighbors from the Northeast part of our State.
  2. Those Price Brothers have GCA rolling right now.
  3. Have you ever noticed the band isn't any bigger than when we were in school but the place is three times bigger today.
  4. Can't BS me, this game will be tighter than Dick's headband.
  5. I'm 28-1 this week with games that have been played but a few more will come in Monday and a few most likely may never be played and a few rescheduled for down the road. I really hate what has happened to a lot of our neighbors in the Northeast part of the state this week and will be praying for everyone this tragedy has affected.
  6. Must of been a Bearden Hater that posted all that during fall practice. Remember Bearden has had volumes of great reading material since the arrival of Mr. Jones. I am very highly impressed with Parrot playing QB versus last year, Night and Day difference.
  7. Well usually when you hear someone's name being mentioned in the transfer portal all summer getting thrown under the bus was how I was taking it. I'm not saying the kid is bad in no way but from what I've seen he has all the right tools to be great but I haven't seen it all come together yet. The kid that got moved to wr seems to have put his game together and totally much better than last year. I could name you 5 qb's I've seen at Maryville that something happened from one year to the next that they put it together I hated the thought of losing them to graduation.
  8. I wonder how many people had one of those hot dogs for breakfast.
  9. I think Bearden looks much better with last years QB running the show. Surprised he stayed with the program when they threw him under the bus for the next best thing to come along besides sliced bread.
  10. I didn't get to go because of emergency work related issues due to the storm but I did watch the replay on Diamond Clear. Not sure who's idea it was to play at 10 a.m. but it was the only game in East Tennessee that went that route. I am pretty good at numbers and know the center section from 40 to 40 seats 756 fans if completely full and it was less than half or 2/5's full along with the sections to the left and right of it and the other sections tell me clearly they had somewhere between 950 and 1050 on the homeside and that's being generous with 145 on the visitor side because you could hand count them. Missing were a lot of kids because your not going to get many teenage kids out of bed early on Saturday Morning to go to a ballgame. You could plainly see only 20-25 kids in the stands on the HVA side. I realize HVA wouldn't be a big draw either which time you played it but it was like the heck with everyone that had to work because we need to get over to Farragut tonight and take notes on Bearden. I did however get to see the game replay but had to turn the sound down to avoid all those commercials about that dry cleaners and the company that sells meats a thousand times each.
  11. I got 16 of 16 right yesterday with 28 games left that looks as if some of these may never get played because of this weather. I figured bad playing conditions would cost me 2 or 3 of these last night. Games are scattered all over the board until after Monday night. Turned out last night may have been the best bet to have played because more rain is on the way.
  12. Got to a point I almost can't watch them anymore.
  13. Better be getting a haircut if your parking at the barber shop tomorrow.
  14. Going to change one where I must have went past my 2 beer limit and that would be Providence Christian over Kings Academy and also I left out Loudon over Sequoyah. It would take an idiot to have picked Sequoyah over Loudon. Friday it looks as if 15 games were played on here where I got all of them right.
  15. I happen to know a handful of players dad's that have told me stuff I wouldn't even begin to say on here. I wouldn't be surprised if one don't jump on here and tell you what you don't want to hear. I personally like Hammontree but as generations change our old ways don't connect with today's youth. I think that may be why so many kids either quit football under Tim or wouldn't go out. I know he loved those kids and would do anything for them. Kids are kids but it's great to see someone finally go out there and pull the wagon out of the ditch that's been there for 36 years.
  16. I bet a lot of games will never be rescheduled.
  17. I could tell you lots of stories but the one most people focus on is the locker room hot piss conversation. Most people don't have a clue that a lot of their helmets were unsafe to wear, the deplorable condition of the locker room, NO Boosters Club and no washing machine to clean the dirty equipment so the coach took them home for him and his wife to clean. A big step down for a guy that could be coaching at a higher level but chose not to. He's firey and reminds me of Stu Aberdeen, Ray Mears old assistant coach that didn't care to lite a fire under someone's tail. The kids have bought in is the main thing you will notice and that's what it takes to build something from nothing.
  18. Your right. Today's biggest concern is the sewage backing up into the classrooms and how many 5 gallon buckets they'll need for all the water leaks from the worn out roof at WB. I thought all that was in the past until a teacher told me different two weeks ago.
  19. Maryville over Hardin Valley Alcoa over Union County Knox West over Heritage Science Hill over William Blount Eagleton over Wartburg Oneida over Greenback Bearden over Farragut Knox Central over South-Doyle Piegon Forge over Austin-East Knox Webb over CAK Powell over Halls Anderson County over Carter GCA over Lakeway Cherokee over Seymour Gatlinburg Pittman over Johnson County Northview over Grainger County Oak Ridge over Clinton Cleveland over Red Bank Rhea County over Walker Valley McMinn County over Ooltewah Campbell County over Daniel Boone West Ridge over David Crockett Elizabethton over Sullivan East Greenville over Volunteer Kingsport D-B over Mo East Cocke County over Chuckey Doad Tyner over Sweetwater Soddy Daisy over Hixon Kingston over Rockwood Harriman over Oakdale Oliver Springs over Sunbright Kings Academy over Providence Christian South Pitt over Innovation Acadeny Whitwell over Copper Basin York over Livingston Academy Bledsoe County over Tellico Plains Midway over Jellico Cloudland over Hampton Happy Valley over Unaka Cosby over Hancock County South Greene over West Greene Meigs County over Chattanooga Central Coalfield over Sequachie County
  20. A game like this benefits Heritage in the long run down the strech against teams they may have normally gave up against when things get tough. I watched Heritage play a scrimmage against Gatlinburg Pittman before the season and against Maryville where youth and mistakes killed them. I seen them play a much better Karns team than last year and win 35-0. I look for West to come out on top on this one but the next four games Heritage has a shot at winning most if not all. Could you imagine then going 6-4 or 7-3. In the last 36 years Heritage has had only one team that has a winning record and that was in 1999 with a 7-4 team under Danny Wilson. Say what you want about the coach out there but he has actually taken a team left for dead and brought it back to life. What this guy walked into out there was nothing short of ground zero it was so bad. Not many people know about the things that he did to change this enviroment, the facilities and the losing mind set this program has been through. I love to see any team that has been given up on to finally get a taste of winning.
  21. When the barber says no tailgate party Friday Night what he's really saying is this will be a cremation by the end of the first quarter along with a heavy chance of rain that he don't wont to take home a bunch of food he'll be eating on for a couple of days to get rid of it.
  22. West should win but there is a major drop off between West this year and last, I could see that against Maryville two weeks ago. Maryville came out and lolly gagged around the second half or that could have been real ugly that night. I see West losing to Alcoa, Anderson and Powell for a 5-5 season.
