  1. Good question. We don't need to leave any stone unturned this go-round. We will also watch what decision is made at Hendersonville as well on their home side even though it wasn't condemned. Remember his dad coached there at one point. Do this stuff once and do it right. make Sumner County the new middle TN standard. You have the opportunity to do just that. Would be a way to make up for the years of no involvement.
  2. Bathrooms are pretty nice now I have to say. Nice shiny floors too. Bleachers look nice too. Unfortunately for us they felt real comfortable to you with Baker behind center. More things to come with the stadium upgrades I hear.
  3. Welcome to CoachT. Who ya pulling for?
  4. Hey looky there. The oldest standing football home side in the state (correct me if I'm wrong) are hanging in there pretty well if they are deemed safe for use after a thorough inspection.
  5. Now THAT is a name I haven't seen in some time
  6. How did the Merriweather transfer do last week?
  7. Lebanon lost a lot of players off of last years team so they are a little young this year. But should be a good game.
  8. I hope you're right Mondo. Hopefully we stay aggressive on defense, while still working on the secondary. D line played good Friday night, but defense is only as good as whoever is playing in behind you.
  9. Congrats Hendersonville on the win. Commandos had an answer for every score Gallatin had. Gallatin kept it tied until mid 3rd, then Baker just couldn't be stopped. There was a couple times that most qb's would have took a sack, and he just delivered a bomb. Has a great arm. I have been big on this Baker kid all off-season, and tonight he just solidified that for me. Kid can do it all. He was undoubtedly the difference in the game. I am also very proud of the play from the young sophomore Gallatin QB Stroup. Has a strong pocket presence and reads the field well. Was able to scramble out of a couple rushes and made some nice passes. D line stopped the run pretty well, but just didn't have an answer for Baker's deep ball. Multiple times had them backed up 3rd & long, and Baker was always able to keep drives alive. I'll be following him this year. Again, congrats Commandos. Go Green Wave.
  10. So will both team fans be packing the home side tonight?
  11. Solid win tonight to start the season for the Bears.
  12. Imagine the Gallatin away side original concrete structure was still standing today and the Maintenance crew came by today. Lol. "Looks good to me, play ball"
  13. Depending on what all they find, ill be curious to see how they handle playing games in 2023 in SumCo. This could be a big story.
  14. I love our home stands.... Guess we will see how our 80 year old structure stands up compared to some of the concrete structures after inspection.
  15. No home game Friday? Where's it going?
  16. eers, I may not have ever agreed more with ya. Whichever team is facing them, I'm pulling for.
  17. Not the teams fault. But the idea behind that whole place from an appearance standpoint is basically spitting in the face of the schools in this county that have carried and raised these communities for decades.
  18. What is your overall take on the scrimmage vs ER seeing it in person (I assume?)
  19. Gallatin O has a much better chance of success this year if Hendersonville can't stack the box like the past without regretting it getting burnt. Obviously, the Wave will have to keep Baker "at bay".
  20. On a real note, you will get complete new stands out of this mishap so not all is bad. If they would have barely broke, Sumner Board would have probably found a way to patch it up. Luckily the whole structure completely failed. Lol.
  21. Stretch. Beech bleachers vs Glencliff would be a much closer matchup
  22. Oh. Wow. I thought yall weren't being serious about their schedule. I just took a look at it. Uhmmm. Okay.
