Riverside pretty tight lip. They're usually pretty excited about this game but haven't heard a word. I know their fans usually raid Emerald's restaurant. Gotta be excited about that? Emeralds or football? Give me something.

Heard late yesterday that Mathis could get released Wednesday. He will be a big help on both sides of the ball when he gets back. That will put our offensive line back in order.

Will we be getting any injured players back for this one?

Really don't know what to expect from riverside. If they get hot throwing the ball, could be long night for cats. We need to come after the qb with pressure and not play so soft on the corners. Out tackling seems to be getting better but got to improve. I do like the match up and know they will come ready to play.

We got a ways to go to stay with stangs this year. They seem to be playing better ball than us right now judging by the scoreboard.

I am expecting a high scoring game in this one.

Field was in great shape especially with all the rain that came thru. Not a lot of seating or sideline space, but it all worked out.

People giving Wayne County a lot of credit but not sure why yet. We're just playing average ball right now, but hopefully Wayne County can hang around with Huntingdon when the time comes. No doubt Huntingdon got it going on but I thought we would beat waverly in a normal game after scrimmaging them. However, since then, we've gotten pretty banged up. So who knows until we get to play them.

I hate playing or watching a game in the rain. But I do love football. So I guess I'll go watch and just be wet.

On that note, he has an uncle that was a pretty good athlete at Wayne County as well. He was a finalist for Mr Football. Also was a good basketball player. No doubt, Cooper has the genes. They can come back to Waynesboro anytime. Meant to add, uncle played college ball at University of North Alabama.

I was told that they have two jr highs that feed them (south Lawrence and Leoma) and they didn't have a jr high team this year. Wow a school that size with jr high football.

Sounds like Lake Co got it going on. This game may tell more of what your season holds.
