Scrimmage went pretty well, but like hevy said, defense is my biggest concern. Completely different from the way they played last year. I don't know if it's the loss of a key player, the loss of our DC or just pre-season jitters. Still plenty of time to figure it out though. Offense looked great. It's going to be a fun year!!

I believe that the team this year has as much talent, if not more, than any other team fielded in Dresden's past. I think they have an opportunity to go far this season.

He could but he probably won't. He didn't even like being an assistant for baseball. I couldn't imagine him doing well as the head coach.

Dresden baseball wasn't too bad this past season. Most of the games we lost were because of dumb errors. The boys seemed to give up towards the end though.

Yes, 4 players got offered by morehead. It was early last week I believe. Looks like we just lost our DC to Westview. Any thoughts on how we are going to replace him?

I just don't see the appeal of Lampkins. I mean, I know he has had a tiny bit of success with the little talent in Gleason but come on. His record was like 54-85 before his disaster of a season last year. I really don't see that being what's best for Westview.

Sometimes I really wonder about you. I agree that we will be throwing up some major points next year, but people putting up major points on us?? Last year, Dresden had one of the best 1a defenses in the state when it comes to points. Actually, if I'm not mistaken, we held our opponents to the least number of points in 1A. Thats pretty good defense if you ask me. Like you said, we didnt lose much so I don't see that being an issue. Watch out, I see dresden making a deep run in playoffs next year. As long as we get a kicker, we could be the entire package!

If we make round 2... I knew if there was going to be comments about us coming out of round one, it'd be from you. I don't understand why you have such an issue supporting out boys. You can sit there and be positive throughout most of your posts, but you always find something negative or a little twist to add in there. You've been doing it all season long. I understand that your son isn't on the team anymore, so no team will stack up to where you think his did, but c'mon. Support these boys 100% and be proud of them!! Don't back track every post. The players and the coaches have done well this season, support them!

I hear they have fun names for their players like the magic man and the hammer. If the game gets boring, at least we can be entertained by their announcer.
