  1. Your certainly entitled to your opinion, no matter how wrong it may be
  2. Freely admit I wasn't sure if he'd contribute at big P5 program but he's made the most of what touches he has gotten. His ability to catch the ball out of the backfield is going to get him alot of attention at the next level
  3. Wanted to congratulate Daune Morris and Craig Tutt on their recent offers from UT and to Jordan James for another solid game for Oregon (44 yards rushing on 7 carries and a TD with 2 receptions for 30 yards)
  4. Jamaal Stewart is who your thinking of
  5. Hard to disagree but I don't see him as a guy that would want to coach college, just so much other stuff you have to do that doesn't involve coaching, Quarles has been at ETSU 2 yrs and they're ready to run him out of town. Oakland will be tough to beat in '24 but they are some other 6A teams that will just as tough to beat. I get a feeling the parity in 6A won't be a 1 yr deal
  6. Creasy took over a program that had gone 24-3 in the 2 prior seasons, so no building back but he def. elevated it. Not disputing anything about transfers, but it's just the way it is now, the days of having a team that that is 100% local are gone, but the success of Oakland’s feeder will keep Oakland successful after Creasy is gone. Don't think any of the regulars on this site think Oakland can win at the rate they have under Creasy, but you can say the same about any great dynasty. Creasy gets alot of the praise but he's got a pretty great staff, keeping it together will be key for the Patriots moving forward First 7 years of following Oakland we didn't even make the playoffs, so I'll be behind them win or lose
  7. You have a very different definition of what's fair than I do
  8. That was also a few high schools and other changes ago. Oakland's socio economic makeup is much different than the rest of the county. If you've been to any Oakland home games the last 4-5 years, about the only games that fill up are Riverdale or Maryville. I don't like it and I'm sure Creasy doesnt but alot of programs in large metro areas struggle to put butts in the seats, not just a Nashville problem. Just not alot of ppl that live in the area with connections to Oakland and the ones that do probably had their kids go to Siegel
  9. I'd call it beginners luck but I've doing this a long time and been nowhere near the top so I'm celebrating what I'm sure will be my short lived reign at the top. Too bad Nolensville was banged up at QB. There were 3-4 that I pretty much just guessed on
  10. Rutherford County like pretty much everyone else, is open zoned so not alot of "real" kids at alot of RuCo programs. Most of the kids on that roster have been with the program since middle school . MS & other feeders rarely lose
  11. Not uncommon and also the byproduct of an area growing to the point of not having many ties with the actual school. Oakland streams all their home games which is something I've found myself taking advantage of more and more. Crowds like this were pretty common towards the end of the Rankin era @ Riverdale towards the end. Ppl take success for granted When Creasy leaves, it'll be for a job that pays better (private) or double dips
  12. I know right, how dare people actually say Siegel has a chance to beat Cookeville (which they did). Nobody actually picked against them
  13. I'm not either, given the expectations of Cookeville their schedule was reasonable. Just have alot of respect for Siegel playing that type of schedule knowing how their region was looking
  14. 05. After thinking about it I'm not quite as sure 2007 had championship potential, but 2006 def did
  15. Momentum is a fickle mistress, just ask Siegel. Hennigan should be region COY, but they've also haven't had to play the kind of schedule Siegel has, they showed alot of fortitude beating Rockvale after just going through a gauntlet the last 5 weeks
  16. The first 2 teams right after Rankin were loaded too, I've always felt Rankin probably left too early, but jobs like Alcoa almost never are vacant
  17. I don't disagree with talking about a Riverdale-BC semifinal, merely the talk about it being a defacto championship. In 2015 & 2016, I feel like both Oakland & Maryville might have relaxed a little against what alot of people felt like what was a inferior opponent. I'll say this, I wouldn't want to be on the chain gang if Riverdale and Bradley meet up
  18. A lesson that Maryville and Oakland both learned the hard way is that players read it enough times they'll begin to believe it. I'd be surprised if the title game was enough but a great game
  19. If Santel was healthy for Siegel, I think there would be a chance for a sweep, but I feel like Cookeville will be too much for Siegel, although I'm glad Siegel found a way to make it to the postseason
  20. Think Gallatin will keep this interesting for a little while. Am glad to renew this series and hopefully they can schedule a home and home in the near future with Gallatin on the come up
  21. Part of the problem is year after year they play a soft schedule. When you don't get better over the course of a season, it's going to show this time of the year
