  1. Second that, although I could see Tullahoma keep it interesting if they can put some points on the board and not lean so heavily on defense & special teams
  2. I understand your point, but Riverdale has still been really good and hasn't completely fallen off the map like LC has. Your can still win a title at Riverdale, it'd take an act of God to so at Lincoln, which is unfortunate bc I loved the rivalry the RuCo schools had with them
  3. If we're limiting this to 6A, I would say Oakland, Riverdale, Brentwood Germantown, Collierville, Houston. Idk if I'd consider them "top dogs" but that's the best of Middle & West. Bradley would probably only be a underdog against Oakland, the rest of them are 50-50. Bradley v Riverdale would probably look like an arena league game
  4. Nobody said they weren't but I think you sandbag alot when it comes to West, which Holtz did frequently
  5. He's trying to put the Lou Holtz reverse jinx curse on Pal
  6. Your not wrong, but pretty easy to fact check it against the recruiting database of 247, on3 and Rivals
  7. Yes they correctly view II-AAA as the dominant class in TN and the SOS usually supports that. No doubt Oakland's SOS would take a dip without Center Grove who will end up being a top 50 team in national polls, maybe top 25. If Oakland’s dominance continues their SOS will get higher every year bc of the lack of TN teams willing to schedule them
  8. Maryville isn't a 3 no matter what. If Farragut & HVA win, their a 4 seed
  9. Another year I might agree with you. Maybe if Maryville had nothing to gain but Hunt will keep them focused and hungry
  10. True but given how Maryville has played lately probably no worries there
  11. Yeah not looking great. 2-6A is just really tough, Farragut has been a model of consistency the last 20 yeats
  12. Who is originally from East TN I believe. When you become successful, it recruits itself, they didn't get to that point overnight. What do you want Alcoa to say, sorry were full?! The day that someone finds Alcoa broke the rules by all means penalize them, but until then the only message your sending is for our kids to blame someone else when things don't go your way Maryville does do things the right way, but they aren't gonna turn down transfers either, nor is there just 1 right way to run a program
  13. Pretty sure the first one would be overall wins, which knocks out Farragut and Maryville has the tiebreaker over Cleveland. Only way Farragut can get is to beat Maryville and for HVA to beat Cleveland, in that scenario they would finish 3rd
  14. Was a smart move on Jordan's part following Lanning to Oregon where he knew there would be carries to be had. James doesn't have one elite skill, but he can do a little bit of everything, which will serve him well and your right about splitting carries. Unless your a genetic freak like Derrick Henry, NFL teams look down on TBs that have alot of mileage before they get to the pros
  15. Maryville hasn't won a title in 4 years. This year they won't even win their own region, most people call that the end of a dynasty. They've lost their last 4/5 against Oakland You don't have a sustained run like Alcoa has without great coaching. Nix and Sweetland were present for alot of those championships. Success at the 8th grade/freshman level is nice but can be fools gold as well, some kids peak at that age
  16. Past success doesn't guarantee future results and they all have them fancy skill players
  17. Yep it's stupid. I do enjoy watching a game at MJ, great facility
  18. I think you got me confused with someone else, my team is Oakland aka the program that ended the rebel dynasty. Apparently teams aren't that tired of seeing Alcoa win bc if they were, Alcoa wouldn't be a lock to win every year
  19. Usually the same ones that hate any program that's successful & not their own. You don't have to like them, but everybody should respect what they've built
  20. Yeah let's penalize Alcoa for building a powerhouse program. This is how you create a culture of giving everyone a trophy. They are under no obligation to jump up a class or classes. They are passionately committed to having a championship program, if you want to beat them, your gonna have to do the same.
  21. Big & Physical > Boo Carter. Those skill guys don't get very far without solid play in the trenches
  22. I think Perry has done a good job building something that can be sustainable, but I don't think he's the guy to get them there. 2018 was really the only year they were legit title team, most of the others have been propped up by a weak schedule
  23. People used to say the same thing when Rutherford County started adding new schools. In the short term. It's hurt MJ a little, but the right coach can win a title there
  24. Oakland streams their games when they are at home
