  1. I actually went to school with the headmaster. He told (I think I am recalling correctly) me originally they were in TN but years ago when they needed to upgrade for bigger numbers, the additional land they owned was a little bit over the line into MS. I want to say some of their property is still in TN. I think DA is a good team. #53 is a beast and I love the way #32 runs the ball. Emphatically because it was my only upset pick BTW, headmaster I was talking about above used to be at DA when the sports teams were making those good showings at the end of the seasons. I would not be surprised if Northpoint becomes the team to beat from the west. They won the baseball championship against Goodpasture already last year
  2. This week: CPA over USJ DA over Lausanne !! FRA over Webb Boyd Buchanan over Northpoint in a close one
  3. Hard to give a swingset away much less sell one… boards have been popping this week. Booger, you got any upset predictions in tonight’s games. Glad we are playing CAK’s football team instead of baseball!
  4. I feel bad for a true fan like you and the kids. Keep your chin up, it will be over before you know it. In reality, probably best that it started immediately so that you’re not looking at two more years after this year.
  5. Why would you blatantly put something so stupid out there? This is about Lipscomb, but apparently CPA is still living rent free in your head. Do you know Ingle’s dad? My guess is you are really talking about his father in law who is notoriously known as the best athlete to grow up in Nashville…
  6. The photographer guy (Jay) at CPA does it. He’s an assistant coach in soccer also.
  7. I know in AA if CPA wins, they are #1. A CPA loss and a FRA win, FRA is #1, CPA #3. A CPA and FRA loss, DA is #1, CPA #2, and FRA #3.
  8. #4 is a very good back! I was a little surprised seeing FRA trying to slow the game down from the start. I would have thought that would mean utilizing him more. Yes! I said at halftime it felt like it was his first game. I know it’s a hard job and there is a shortage because of how they are treated, but someone definitely needs to give him some help.
  9. The officiating was terrible tonight. It was miserable to watch, so I can understand you thinking this CPA is not as good as X CPA team. I think this year’s defense is the best I’ve seen during Ingle’s coaching time. Definitely the CPA team that has the most SEC / ACC future athletes. I’m fond of the 2019 undefeated team, and the undefeated team that beat Alcoa, but I think this team is just as good (probably).
  10. I didn’t know this. So, the 1134 that TSSAA reports as MBA’s number is 567 in reality?
  11. With schools like McCallie and MBA being all male, numbers don’t seem to be the best way to define classifications. Some reliable way to define athletic financial aide budget per school would be interesting.
  12. This CPA team is special, but anything can happen on a Friday night. I think they will be focused given the loss last year. The next two weeks should be good games.
  13. Good, better, best.. it is very catchy I have to say.
  14. Booger, I’ve got a daughter living in your city now. I’ll have to meet you for dinner on one of my visits. She had to evacuate yesterday evening because of a chemical spill. So, pretty eventful so far!
  15. Feels like we always do for at least one game
  16. The list for the TD football era would be long for anyone outside of LA. He seemed to have a goal of alienating everyone outside of his “tribe”. It will probably take a while to wash that taste out of everyone’s mouth. Prior to that you really don’t notice a lot of things when you are mercy ruling a team. TD was definitely very successful in building a program that won, but I don’t see how a school, specifically a faith based school could be happy with the bad reputation that grew under him each year. BUT, winning really amplifies every thing you do to people outside your program. I would hate to be under that type of spotlight with all of my flaws. I’m a baseball guy and the rivalry is very strong between CPA & LA. Lots of emotion during the games but nothing really to complain about. I really look forward to those games and have enjoyed talking to program ambassadors like Brent High. No problem with the coaches, etc. I’m also a Vandy fan (please be gentle) and love seeing Junior Sherrill and London lined up next to each other on offense and Longwell playing D with Kane and Langston every week.
  17. Any of you BA connected people know how #60 is doing? It was scary when he went down and had to be ambulanced off the field.
  18. MBA defense played their butts off. It feels like any AAA team can beat another on a given night. Baylor and McCallie a lot rarer though.
  19. I was very impressed with Antioch’s QB last night. He looks special as a freshman, right? It will be interesting to see their growth over his next few years.
  20. I think this year they would be in the conversation for winning the 6A championship along with Oakland, Brentwood, Bradley Central, Germantown, and Maryville. I think they would be capable of beating any 6A team on a given night, but realize not having 110 players on the sideline would factor into their durability for a long playoff run.
  21. I’m guessing you are just clowning with these posts, but if you don’t think the CPA / PC game was “big boy football”, I’m not sure you are talking about high school football…
  22. Now if I recall correctly, per cbg, he could go to Baylor and start against LA this Friday because the board members of TN HS football did not approve a rule that 80% of the members approved… that would make this really interesting…
  23. I was looking at teams in the Jackson area and saw Liberty Tech at the bottom of the standings. What happened to them? They were good competition a few years when we were in D1 3A.
