  1. USJ defeated Union City Poplar Bluff defeated Hayti Middleton defeated Munford Lausanne defeated Dyersburg Tomorrow's games... Union City v. Hayti Poplar Bluff v. USJ Dyersburg v. Munford Lausanne v. Middleton - championship
  2. Munford defeated USJMiddleton defeated Union City Lausanne defeated Poplar Bluff Dyersburg defeated Hayti
  3. The Lady Trojan Christmas Classic will begin on December 28 with winner and loser bracket games taking place on the 29th and 30th.... Dec. 28 Munford v. USJ - 1:00 Union City v. Middleton - 2:30 Poplar Bluff (Mo.) v. Lausanne - 4:15 Hayti (Mo.) v. Dyersburg - 6:00
  4. South Side is going to Murfreesboro for Riverdale's Christmas tournament... Haywood will be at Hub City... I think Gibson is better but Haywood could give Gibson problems with their athleticism and size. If Gibson brings it every night, no one will beat them in the regular season... Their biggest test will come in the region tournament when/if they face Dresden. Stay away from Middleton for sub-state and all should be well..
  5. ....and that's what kind of worries me about Gibson. There's no doubt that they are as talented as anyone in Single A, but all it takes is one game in the tournaments where you're "going through the motions" and the season is over with.
  6. Chester has a good team and will be tough to beat in their district. Pipkin leads the way and they also have several big guards who can shoot it to compliment her. They're a good team...
  7. Greenback is 4th or 5th in region 7A.... Peabody, Dresden, Union City.... Lake Co. even be able to give Greenback a run for their money.
  8. Marion hasn't seen a team full of athletes like Trezevant. This game will be a blowout.... Trezevant by 35+....
  9. Threes and D with a slight mix of speed...
  10. I know all of the kids/coaches involved in the incident... Coach McNeal at South Side has done a great job turning their girls program into a relevant program and one of the best in west TN. He gets the best out of his kids in every game. As far as him leading an undisciplined team and being undisciplined himself, I disagree. He's a great person and coach, and has those kids on a track to success. As for the kid from SS, she's also a great kid as well who plays very hard and is a great student-athlete. SS went out of their way after the incident multiple times to ensure that Fields was going to be fine, and she is. I understand people's emotions get caught up in the heat of the game, but all of the people involved for both teams here are quality and successful people.
  11. Is anyone having trouble watching this on the Titans website?
  12. You guys shouldn't get all bent out of shape. I'm not from Trezevant nor do I know anything of Trezevant. In fact, I could care less who wins this game. I just remember the incident Marion County put themselves through and find it as a very funny story... Always glad to hear when students have top notch facilities! Good luck this weekend!ðŸ‘ðŸ»
  13. Has Marion Co. spray painted their own field house lately?... That was a classic!!!
  14. He has Mitchell and Middleton confused. Gibson Co. defeated Middleton...
  15. It would be fun to watch... A game like that will just come down to who is rebounding, hitting shots, and doing what it takes to win... Both are good teams.
  16. Haywood lost way too much this year to be the best in AA. Right now, I would say Martin Westview is the best in West TN with 2 D-1 signees/commits and another D-1 prospect in the sophomore class. They also have role players that understand their spot on the team. Memphis East is the best team in AAA. TJ Moss and Alex Lomax are no joke and they will be around for the next few years. They also have two 6'7 kids that go with Lomax and Moss. Memphis East will win state with Penny winning his first state championship as a high school coach.
  17. South Greene will be good. They have one of the best Single A players in the state, Taylor Lamb. West Tennessee Single A has several good teams... Middleton is my pick to repeat as state champs. Gibson County, Bradford, Dresden are all very good and look for Peabody to make a little noise this year as well.
  18. Jaylen is the number 1 JUCO player in the country and is playing at Motlow St. CC...
  19. I haven't seen Trinity at all this year, but I could envision this team being like the team when Jabriel Washington was playing and was about all they had. Am I right or wrong on that?
  20. Dakedra Mason will be that leader. She's a 5'11 guard that shot the ball very well last in the state tournament. They also had a kid that came off the bench in the state tournament that will run the PG spot for them this year. I watched Middleton several times this summer and a repeat isn't far fetched. No one can in Single A can match their team athleticism and size. Gibson has a decent freshman class in this year, but nothing that'll contribute at a high level immediately. Bri and Lannom need to take control of that team this year and will them to the 'boro... Too good of a team not to make it to Murfreesboro. Peabody will be decent in district 14A... I see them finishing third, wouldn't be surprised if they finished second. Hart has done a good job with them.
  21. Pickett County was the closest thing to beating Middleton all year last year, and Pickett returns everything. A Pickett/Middleton state championship would be ideal, but knowing how the draw usually falls, they'll play each other in the first round of the tournament. gwh, what all does Community return?
  22. Middleton will be good again this year. They lost a lot last year, but still looked really good this summer when I saw them. I would say they're probably the favorite out of this area. Chelsea Perry, who was state tournament MVP, is up to about 6'3 now and several of the other kids they have looked to have grown some when I saw them this summer. They're well a well coached team as well... Gibson returns all of their key players back from last year and, in my opinion, has the best player in Single A basketball when she wants to be in Bri Fields. As for the rest of the state, Clarkrange will be tough as they still have Meadows who looked good this summer in travel ball. Pickett County has the shooters in Courtney Pritchett and Abbi Buck, they'll be back for another run this year. Moore County should be pretty good with Kursten Hawkins. Clay County was pretty good last year at state, not sure what they return... Anyone can win it, but if I had to pick right now, I would take Middleton with the repeat this year.
  23. Union City looked really good tonight...
