  1. Whitehaven struggles with them Nashville boys in the semis. Ravenwood gave them two straight years of exits and now it’s CRs turn. CR 24 Da Haven 17. Sorry bout it!
  2. Not sure what you said, but I'm just trolling on this beautiful saturday morning. Don't mind me.
  3. Why do we have multiple threads? is this the one where the blount county people sit in a circle and tell each other how great they are? I'll go to the one with actual discussion.
  4. Here we are 2 months later. What is the line?
  5. haha I know ya'll are celebrating on elvis presley blvd. I'll be in cookeville if ya'll make it there. You will recognize me when I come walking up I promise.
  6. I think me, you, and BHS need to meet up in cookeville and the memphis folks need to blow some trees and have a weekend. I know we've had our differences, but we are more alike than we are unalike.
  7. I'm just trying to keep my brother in check, I think he's getting too lax. And I would probably like you in person, but would whoop you if I had to.
  8. You're getting too friendly. You're letting the Steel Reserve and fried fish get to you...It's playoff time. Don't make friends with these mofos.

  10. H'boro and PC are on completely different ends of the spectrum in a lot of ways. Demographics, SES, family/community support. It's not fair to compare the two.
  11. That's such a redundant response to the argument. Cool, let's talk garbage instead of actually looking at the root of the issue. We can never know the answer to what you stated about Red Boling Springs but I do know for a fact that people don't play metro out of region because they lose money.
  12. Pearl had a miserable showing at the state championship game last year. Trezevant may have been the only other school with fewer fans to show up for a championship game. Every once in a while it is good to look in the mirror rather than blaming everyone else.
  13. And for you to think that some of these successful schools who have actually won championships recently are scared shows how little you know about the issue. I love me some metro ball, but if you called up a rutherford county or williamson county school and asked to play they would decline. Not because they are scared of the game, but because they are scared of all the equipment they could buy getting flushed down the toilet when you show up with 32 fans in the stands.
  14. Garner some community, school, and family support then maybe people would want to play you. It's pretty simple. It is a factor that people have to consider when creating a schedule.
  15. Look, no county schools want to sign up for metro games because it's a lose-lose. Yeah maybe it is a good game, but they won't travel. I know this for a fact. Getting put in a region with mostly metro schools is a death sentence financially. Say what you want about Mount Juliet or who ever else, but it could potentially lose them thousands of dollars to go out and schedule metro schools.
  16. That's a great read right there. I think successful folks coming back home is the secret ingredient to a whole big recipe in getting these metro schools rolling. Whitehaven is doing something good over on the west end of the state. So many former players who make it to the second or even third level, get done playing, and go straight to coach private school, or straight to coach successful wealthy school X,Y, or Z.
  17. Also wish that TSU/Vandy could continue to reach the olive branch out to get these games some more big name notoriety. Imagine a kick off classic first weekend at the hole. Overton vs. Hillsboro Friday night, Maplewood vs. Stratford Saturday afternoon, PC vs. Cane Ridge Saturday night. I'd buy a ticket for that and I live in Rutherford Co.
  18. No brainers would be finding a way for the recently successful teams like PC, CR, Stratford, Overton, Hillsboro, Maplewood... to get some big name games going. I think it could be a community effort to show off all of the great ball that is played in metro. I know they all reside in metro, but they need to try to develop some individual neighborhood pride. Jefferson Street (PC) vs. Green Hills/Edgehill/Wedgewood (Hillsboro), Cane Ridge vs. Inglewood/East Nasty (Stratford), Oak Hill/Melrose/Grassmere (Overton) vs. Gra-Mar (Maplewood).
  19. He don't read too good. Also, MJ lost to Cane Ridge, they might get mercy-ruled against PC.
  20. What do y'all know about Nolensville that makes you think that? Just curious because I'm not familiar with that school, other than they had the one game on TV this year.
  21. You correcting spelling all of a sudden.......hahahaha
  22. I would guess that Franklin brings a load of fans. The Wilco schools are notorious for chartering buses for the students and faculty to ride on when going to Memphis.
  23. To be completely honest, I think you guys are one of the few teams that can just hop in that 5 man front, cover up all the linemen, man up on the outside, and tell FHS we are stopping the run go make a play somewhere else. I think that is the way to go with these guys. Especially with some of the big boys that you got up front on defense.
  24. Yeah great high school player. Will probably go on to one of those 'mid-major' type schools and be a great player for them as well. You see that story unfold all the time in high school ball. A lot of big schools recruit to a size/speed/talent mold rather than just grabbing great instinctual ball players.
