  1. I've seen him once or twice on TV games and he is an outstanding player. Made double digit tackles both times I watched him. Why would you say he isn't getting the recruiting attention from the big boys? I have never seen him in person, but is he short/too small or what is the holdup?
  2. Firebird, I think he was praising metro coaching. He said it goes beyond the field in metro, and that a lot of people can coach outside of metro, but very few can coach in metro. Trying to say it takes someone special to be a metro coach.
  3. Yeah, I saw Indy in person against Summit this year and they were very impressive...but I think beatable. That being said I don't know if I can pick against them. I'll go Indy 24-17.
  4. It's not a joke. You need to find something to do other than troll your anger out after your team lost. It's embarrassing.
  5. You're just trying to pick a fight. You went AWOL last night like a punk after all the garbage you've been talking. Get out of your mother's basement and get some fresh air.
  6. You've made yourself look stupid enough the past few weeks. Shouldn't you be airing the basketballs up? You are the manager aren't you?
  7. Maybe I could've used italics on the word 'have' to help you guys understand that I was questioning his assumption rather than asking a sincere question. No I don't think Indy has been getting home cooking. Yes I know where Independence is, and I know it is not Murfreesboro. I used the fact that the crew from last night was from Murfreesboro to question his statement that Indy has been getting help from "their" refs. Excuse me for assuming that this would be understood. I forget that I am on a high school football board, and it's not the best place to find people with the abilities to extract meaning from written language.
  8. I was asking a question based on the accusation from the poster above me. Please practice reading comprehension.
  9. I understand now why they are scared to play with the big boys in the private league. They can't even get out of the 2nd round of the public league......
  10. I've only seen one Indy game and it was the one that was on TV last night. They said that crew was from Murfreesboro...has Indy been getting home cooking?
  11. All I'm saying is the playoffs causes the truth to come out. The truth of the matter is MJ just ain't that good, and it's a shame, because they should be. The only 'shoulda' here is that MJ shoulda dominated their schedule with the team that they have and they didn't. I don't care who RW was last year, that is two bad losses for MJ losing to this years RW team.
  12. A destination in middle tennessee for good coaches. They know they will be supported, sometimes overbearing support, but supported nonetheless. Developing neighborhood schools where kids grow up getting coaching from middle school on up. It's also big that these kids have families that have the means to always be at practice, be well fed, always be at every offseason workout. Fewer students having to migrate from school to school which leads to a higher level of continuity. Pretty much talk to any metro coach about some of the inherent difficulties that those jobs bring, and those typically aren't there in Wilco. Wealth plays a part, but all of those positives attract really good coaches as well, which creates a winning combination.
  13. Been saying all year that MJ is a fraud. Could've easily been the 4 seed in that region. It's just a shame that they are going to do just good enough to keep that coach every year. They have wayyy too much size and talent to get bounced like this.
  14. Haha he lacks reading comprehension skills as well as spelling. He probably went to high school at Fairview.
  15. Ok, so first off, 6A is the only classification to allow 1-8 seeds to make the playoffs. So if you even wanted to pretend to attempt to make a statement about who is the "gooder" classification based on the statistics, you are already skewed because you are using the 5-8 seeds and their records. If you only take the 1-4 seeds then, yes, you would have less teams, which would also skew the information, but then 6A would only have 1 team with a losing record in the playoffs. Houston high school is the only 1-4 seed in the 6A playoffs with a losing record...that also happens to be the lowest number out of all of the classifications. Oh, and btw, its not spelled 'loosing'.
  16. I like MJ, and predicted them to win that region this year at the beginning of the year. What in the world happened against Ravenwood? They have turned out to be BAD.
  17. I hear you. I think that there are a few metro teams that have a real shot at making some noise in the playoffs. I think that PC is the one with the best shot for championship game but CR and Stratford have a good chance to go deep and make a lot of noise. The only problem is wouldn't Cane Ridge have to possibly play Independence early on in the playoffs? I think I remember reading that somewhere. I think that Overton has a good shot to go a couple/three rounds deep in the playoffs, especially if they can beat Wilson Central and get to that higher seeding. Hillsboro is always a threat no matter what as well. Who else is a threat to cause some problems in the playoffs?
  18. Wait is this the same MJ team that lost to Ravenwood? I understand questioning PC, but hyping your own team that lost to the regions 5/6 seed? You guys have played 4 "quality" opponents. Gallatin is currently in 4th place in their region, Cane Ridge beat you, Wilson Central took a comeback and overtime (and it is a stretch to call them quality), and Franklin took overtime. I think MJ is a good team, but we're talking about a 7-2 Mt. Juliet that could easily be 5-4. Let's not go acting like MBA is in the same ballpark as you guys.
  19. You're right. It's been so long since my guys have been in high school I forgot the appropriate age/grade. Doesn't change my message much though. Still sounds like a 9th/10th grade team hung around with an 11th/12th grade team for a half. Regardless of my knowledge of age...
  20. Yeah from what I hear that Nolensville team is only 9 and 10 grade, and dominated their JV schedule all year. Wasn't that SGC game with Nolensville close at the half? I live in Wilson County and I try to keep up with all of the midstate schools and I seem to remember it being 14-7 or so at the half. Pretty bad for playing against 13/14 yr olds.
  21. You've taken my rebuttal to our current society having more racial division than at any point in our country's history, and have turned it into a narrow-minded discussion about white/black and killing cops. You must have a lot of pent up hatred and negativity to do that in 3 comments. I'm going to quit replying because I have nothing else to say.
