Is Oakdale going to field a team this year? I have heard they are not but nothing to reliable. I read where the football field has new bleachers ,doesn't seem like a good investment if you don't have a team

I just watched my Hudl film from the sunbright game. #3 Wesley Bohanan started QB. #51 farmer played tackle. He was getting beat on the edge so 3 was move to te to help out.

You are correct. They did start bohanan at QB. Didn't realize farmer was wearing 3

#3 played quarterback against os. He has signed to play basketball in college at Johnson University in knoxville

Pretty sure #3 Wesley Bohanan graduated. However Andrew Farmer was a lineman who will be a Sr and I saw him at a camp. He is a big kid but lacks fundamental skills due to lack of coaching at sunbright.

Os does have most of their talent back this year. Some linemen with experience would be nice but let's face it os is not a hotbed for transfers in. It will be interesting to see how the line We do have is coached up with only one returning starter there. Losing the line , Hill, and Nation would hurt any 1a school. We haven't started spring practice yet but it should start next week. Lots of would be starters playing baseball.

3 and 10 are seniors. 4, 44, 21, 15, 18, all return for one more year and 2 for two more years

All of the above mentioned will be good next year. Don't overlook Oliver springs. They will be decent and could make waves in region 2. The offensive line is mostly all gone but most athletes from this year return for 2019. Region 2 should be fun.

I concede. But realize 2nd finish really only matters for the playoff seedings. Now if you don't win the gold ball then your done. No matter if its first round or finals. Good luck

You really think that midway was the better team when os and midway played?. I think os had a slow start but the better team did win the game. Not so much in the coalfield game. But if you don't convert in the red zone 3 times you don't deserve to win. Os is and was the 2nd best team in region 2 No matter what the playoff seeding says.

Seems that the easier road to go past the 2nd round would be through cland and play green back third. That is also a risky proposition seeing as cland is a good team and possibly be put out first round by them. So if I were to believe the rumor I would think throwing the midway game would make more sense than throwing the coalfield game considering who will be played. Either way I do not believe the bobcats would throw a game for any reason and they would let the chips fall where they may. Just an opinion.

Not exactly sure who or where that came from but that is not the case in my opinion. They played hard and came up short in a big game. Things happen through the course of a season but to accuse a team of throwing a game is unforgettable. Players in tears from emotions, putting up numbers like 17 tackles for one and 100 yds rushing for another just to be accused of throwing a game. Come on? Really?

The os midway game has been moved to Thursday due to weather

you would be mistaken on the 20 seniors. we do lose some quality player this year in hill, brown, lamance, giles,webb,daughtery , nation, and ,mcghee but the majority of starters are juniors. one running back and our veteran line will be hard to recover from but it can be done.

This should be a good game. Os is playing good football and coalfield has had some time to get healthy. I think os wins this one but it will be one of the better games this friday

No a completely true statement. They did go into the fourth quarter in atleast one game. Oliver springs played them tough and it was a complete four quarter game for both teams. Otherwise your correct in what you posted

Not missing players but the weather messing up practice and the school board calling off all extracurricular activities which throws off the routine during the week. They were not as prepared as they should have been. I don't think that will happen again this season. At least I hope not.

What are the thoughts on this game.

I do believe the os greenback game was a shocker but not a fluke. I am an os fan but they seem to play at their competition level rather than the level they are capable. I think greenback is the far superior team but don't discount the bobcats to a fluke game

When posting videos they should watch them with better eyes because the one you provided the link to clearly shows chs #3 coming from the sideline onto the field in the play involving os #6. So I would say a 250 fine for players leaving the bench is sufficient. Thank for the video.

in my opinion the article is wrong. the chs coach did not go after 6 he went to stop two of his players who were after #6. Neither the os nor the chs sideline cleared that i saw. the entire situation took place on the field with the players that were on the field. I have seen video and no extra os players can be seen coming on the field and none of the chs players even looked at the os sideline if extras were on their way i would think that someone would have at least looked over that way. as far as what each coach said i can not say because only the 2 coaches and the ref were in on that conversation. i will call a spade a spade and in this one os was not the instigator they walked away with hands up trying not to get in trouble.

I think it's a good match up. I think the bobcats pull it out. The defensive play by os is really good right now. Offensively we have had some good games and the greenback game was an eye opener we have to produce to win out in these games. Os had a good stretch of games to go.
