    10 AA

check out the other district 10AA thread.
  3. Whos talkin smack? Im just giving my honest opinion, your the one getting hostile about it. Creek Wood doesnt have luck, they have talent- you cant deny that. Waverly has lost their ace pitcher- what do they have? What does Sycamore have this season that they didnt have last year? They didnt get those 4 seniors back.... No, all these teams have isnt just pitchers. Creek Wood also has one of the best 2nd basemen in the league. Just cause their mascot isnt the coolest in the world doesnt mean they are a bad team. War eagles- now thats a mascot! These predictions dont mean anything- theyre just for fun. The real season starts in less than a week for some teams, so get ready!
  4. Creek Wood will be up top, no doubt. Central beat Syacamore last year 10-1 on the district "decider" Id say they can stay in top 3. Waverly may be the sleeper, as well as Stewart. B. Caldwell and Lacey Keats are excellent pitchers. Especailly with B. Money only bein a sophmore.
  5. 1. Creek Wood 2. Cheatham County 3. Montgomery Central 4. Harpeth 5. Stewart County 6. Sycamore Thats how I figure it will go down. No, I didnt forget Waverly. They could fall anywhere in there, Im not sure how powerful they are without Buccannan on the rubber, so I guess we'll see. Stewart could be in 4th instead of Harpeth, its really hard to say. I think the talent for this district is loaded, so it should be interesting.
  6. What is everyones opinion on District 10AA?
  7. Cheatham may be the fav, but this district is a tossup, anyone could win it...there are gonna be some upsets!
  8. Its hard to say, but Id bet Glasgow from SC gets it.
  9. This district is WAY inconsistent, I havent seen anything like it in a long time. There are no set picks anywhere, and some upsets are definatly in order. I know of course who Id like to win, but you cant count anyone in or out on this one. Good luck to all teams this week, should be a good one!
  10. Yep, this is Coacht.com, food.com doesnt hold a candle to this. Cmon lighten up, if your gonna be a Coacht'er, you gotta love those off the wall topics sometimes. By the way, Waverly has the best hot dogs, a little pricey though.
  11. Montgomery Central Girls Varsity: Nov. 25 Greenbrier 46, Montgomery Central 42 Dec. 2 Northeast 64, Montgomery Central 42 Current Record- 4 wins, 7 losses (reg. season) 0-3 (district)
  12. Wheres Brandon Burney....maybe I missed him?
  13. As highly as I feel about cheerleading not being a sport- that was a GREAT post.

    Help

I gotta couple of friends I wanna work with b/c they wanna make the team this year. Our coach has refused to hold any practice, so Im takin em on my own. Unfortunatly- facitlies are limited to only the equipment I own- which is nothin but a bucket of balls and a tee (they really want to improve their hitting) No cages and no net so I can give them live pitching. Were plannin on headin to the school feild wed. and need some ideas on what I can do to help them out. Thanks.
  15. outcome???? Anything else interesting to mention (fights, taunts ect.) since these 2 schools are big rivalries?
  16. 22 pts? please....... central by a td and feild goal.
  17. Maryville- I agree completly. Im rather sick of hearing "i tore this....I pulled this....I sprained this- so that makes it a sport" Just because you break your ankle or tear a ligament or tendon or anything else does not make what your doing a sport. Like Ive said before, if that was the case, falling down the stairs would be an olympic event. Yes- cheerleaders do act like their "sport" is superior. We have a pep club here, and do the exact same things the cheerleaders do. Yep- weve got guys who can tumble and build just like you "Atheletes" but we dont try and pass pep club off as a sport.
  18. Ok, now look at other records. Most accidents (ie. Injuries) happen in the home, mainly the bathroom. I guess goin to take a bath is a sport! Well, I guess every hygenically maintained person is an athlete too....look at all those injuries- even death! Wow, now thats a sport. Sorry, but a sport is not based on how much you get hurt- if it were, then wed all wanna be clumsy.
  19. You CANNOT teach someone to throw a baseball, swing a bat or dribble a basketball in one day. Yeah, you could say- ok heres how you do it, but there are fundamentals to these things. No, you cant teach just anyone to tumble- but not just anyone can do these things either. The game of basketball is not just about dribbling, neither is softball or baseball only about swinging a bat or throwing a ball, but what other than tumbling in cheerleading does it take any shred of talent to do???? Anyone can yell- sheesh I can do that. I did cheer in middle school- Hated it, but it was the only thing to do until softball or basketball season. So dont run your mouth until you step on the hardwood, or the feild- and put in a 3 hour practice and run 3 miles a day- then maybe, just maybe you can talk. So the tssaa sanctioned it- and your point is??? Well if I got my head chewed off and whined too by a bunch of girls all day- Id do anything to get them off my backs too. So go ahead and call your little event a "sport" If youll go to several college web sites, youll see they have Womens sports, mens sports and spirit groups listed, which does cheerleading fall under???
  20. Montgomery Central Indians!!
  21. I think the biggest effect would be the athletes themselves. We are the ones being affected, and were the ones who could lose the chance to go to college. Sports is the only ticket I got, my parents sure dont have the money to send me. Were all depending on a scholorship here. So you better belive theyll be hearing from me.

    a peom

thats whur yer tax dallaz iz goin!
  23. Montgomery Central-6 Kenwood-1
  24. The board pays nothing but coaches salary and transportation. The boosters take care of uniforms, and even part of the transportation. Parents work- and if a parent was to take another kid to the game and got in a wreck and injured them- the other parents would sue the pants off them, its liablity, which is why coaches cant trasport the students. These are good suggestions, but not ones that are the real problem.
