  1. Gallatin was the victim of a weak schedule. What was their best win? Over 4 loss Mount Juliet? Everybody else they beat had at least 5 losses, very mediocre competition.
  2. Region 3 sweeps Region 4 tonight Riverdale 24 Mount Juliet 14 Perry would rather lose by 10 to RD than 50 to Oakland next week Cookeville 31 Hendersonville 24 Cookeville played in a tougher region and they have more talent than Hendersonville Blackman 49 Wilson Central 7 Running clock early 2nd half Oakland 70 Lebanon 0 Need running clock after the opening kickoff
  3. Mount Juliet wins pretty easy tonight, Hendersonville has proven not to be very good. Bears win 28-7
  4. Region 4 in 6A might be the weakest 6A region in the state. Went 1-5 last night. Only 2 teams in that region will win 6 games, Mt Juliet and Lebanon.
  5. Picks for this week Springfield 24 Wilson Central 14 Station Camp 17 White House 14 Gallatin 24 Lebanon 3 Mount Juliet 35 Stewart’s Creek 14 Oakland 42 Hendersonville 7 Beech 38 Jackson North 14
  6. Did the same thing at Northeast, why change? Also heard from the same person that players from Robertson County and Macon County might be on the way. He would not say which schools they are coming from.
  7. Hearing from a Beech friend that several from Beech and some from Hendersonville might be transferring to Gallatin. I guess the new coach is at it.
  8. Cowardice? So I don’t have the players you have so I should have to play an up tempo style. So it’s not about basketball it’s about being a coward. WRONG!!!
  9. Saw Franklin play a couple of times this year as I live in that area. Typical Joines team. Don’t know anything about Gallatin or Station Camp, obviously both are well coached.
  10. Franklin plays Brentwood opposite so either GHS or SC will see Darren Joines and that 1-3-1 zone
  11. No more Bucs as the Bears win 62-53
  12. Why would you treat him any differently than any other kid? Because he is a big draw? Really?
  13. Sounds like you have a beef with the TSSAA. You can go on any high school message board in the country or any college message board and you hear the same thing on every one of them, the officiating is terrible. Not any different in any other state. Official shortage is in every sport nationwide. I know you like to blame the TSSAA for everything but it’s not any different in any other state. Here is another article you need to read. This was written by Tom Kreager of the Tennessean. https://www.tennessean.com/story/sports/high-school/2019/02/14/high-school-sports-fight-tennessee-tssaa/2838563002/
  14. Story from a Kansas newspaper about why young officials quit. http://www.hutchnews.com/news/20190120/buhlers-justin-seuser-sees-highs-and-lows-as-athletic-director-referee
  15. 1 more thing, the shortage of officials exists in almost every sport and wil no doubt get worse in the next few years. You will see 1 umpire in high school baseball and softball games and no more than 2 refs for basketball and that will get worse.
  16. You don’t get it. It’s not about the money. My son said he wouldn’t do for $200 a game. Millennials don’t like verbal abuse. My high school coach used this example. Tonight we missed 23 shots, had 15 turnovers, and missed 8 free throws. Ref made 5 horrible calls, we made 46 mistakes, who had the better night. You expect perfection from officials but not from teams.
