  1. I understand. Everyone feels like their team is the favorite to make it to Murfreesboro. This season's Regionals are going to be awesome!
  2. You're more than welcome to put up your own list for all to see, ok. If not, then please stop whining! And just for the record, i like the Swenson kid ( football coach's daughter ).
  3. Whoa PCSUPPORTER4LIFE yourself! Don't act as if Summertown is some indestructible monster. Huntingdon is very good. And speaking of teams out of the west, didn't Summertown take a loss on their most recent trip to West Tn to Gleason? A team Huntingdon has defeated twice! So " Bring it on ", because I think it will be Huntingdon vs Summertown in a excellent match up. This is a 50/50 game.
  4. Right now Mayberry is somewhere between #11-20. The Peabody point guard Ware is playing strong this season. Mayberry is streaky and at this point last season she was playing better ball, IMO. She's a good player and definitely top 20.
  5. My top 5 are: Jamirah Shutes Chloe Moore Tasia Jones Khyla Wade-Warren Tess Darby I think of Crawford ( Munford ) as being more towards Shelby County/Memphis metro area. Graves is good, but Darby is a bigger threat. Emily Jones ( USJ ) is nice, but probably a year away from being on this list. She's not nearly the player that Anna was. Honorable Mention: Deja Graves, Amaria Pugh, Jayden Green, Kyla Taylor, Quanardra Miller
  6. Who's your top player, dmm88 ? I think Jamirah Shutes ( Haywood ) is the best player in West Tn, but Chloe is the best point guard in West Tn. Each player should be in the running for Miss Basketball in their respective classification, single A ( Moore ) and double A ( Shutes ).
  7. I watched a really good game last night between Greenfield and Gleason. Both teams are solid contenders for a spot in Murfreesboro. Greenfield won 64-49 because Gleason had no answer for sophomore PG Chloe Moore ( 33 points ). The height/size of Moore and Tess Darby was a problem for Gleason all night. Jayden Green had a good game for Gleason but didn't get alot of help from her supporting cast. I think both teams will give people fits in the post season. I'll be at the Westview game tomorrow ( 12/16 ) to watch them play Union City. The Chargers are the most complete team in West Tn by far. Other than the Nike tournament in Arizona, they should roll through the regular season.
  8. Both...lol !! Girls basketball in Tennessee is alive and well. Tennessee plays some of the best girls ball out there.
  9. Both good games like I said they'd be! South Greene proved that they'll be fine in double-A and Clarkrange proved that unseating the 2017 state runners-up will be a tall task for anyone!
  10. The top 2 games in the state tonight ( 12/12 ) are: South Greene vs Grainger and Clarkrange vs Pickett County. Both games should be excellent, but far away from me (district 13 ). Wish I were close enough to attend either.
  11. It's impossible to make such a ridiculous claim after ten or fewer games! Last I checked South Greene moved to double A leaving Clarkrange, 2017 State Runners-up sitting pretty. They accomplished more than Pickett last season and until knocked off are favorites to return to the title game. Now, with that being said, the past is the past and there are alot of teams playing some strong ball right now. Clarkrange, Huntingdon, Pickett, Greenfield, Summertown, Gleason, and several others have a legitimate shot at bringing home the gold ball this season. It's still early so let's just enjoy the rides these teams will take us on. No need for arguments as everything will sort itself out, as usual.
  12. The state of Tennessee does recognize " feeder " schools. This means that it doesn't matter where a student goes to middle school. He/she can attend any high school in any part of the district, county, city, or state as long as they are enrolled there at the beginning of their freshman year. This way you avoid all the messy transfer situations.
  13. What strong teams have the Lady cats faced? Milan is not a team that you want to guage your team's talent against.
  14. Congrats to D'burg but I wouldn't take too from this. Central is missing two of their main players ( brianna cooks and kynadi kuykendoll ) because of injuries. Cooks is a offensive threat while Kuykendoll is the team's defensive specialist. This is a good early season win for D'burg, but come time for the post season Central ( HEALTHY ) will roll over the Trojans if there's a rematch.
  15. What Haywood did a year ago is of no concern because well, it was a year ago! They're a one woman team ( Jamirah Schutes ) and will struggle mightily this season. I'm sure that Jamirah scored most of those 35 points. The other girls need more work on fundamentals. CC should have scheduled a team like Memphis Central or Martin Westview if they were looking for better competition out west. I'm sure the CC coaches didn't know at the time of scheduling that this would be a down year for Haywood.
  16. Westview is definitely tops in West Tn. With Graves & Johnson on the blocks no one else should get a rebound! Tasia Jones is healthy again and is one of the best point guards in the state. This team is big and deep. SHOULD be in Murfreesboro come March.
  17. Greenfield defeated Crockett County 60-58 on a three pointer in the closing seconds by super sophomore Chloe Moore. Good back and forth game down the stretch. Moore led all scorers with 29 points. Anya Patterson had a strong game for Crockett Co. Obion Central boys and girls teams had little trouble with Bradford. The OCCHS boys are small, but they're fast and good shooters from behind the arc. They will be alot of fun to watch this season.
  18. Region 8AA - Jamirah Schutes, Haywood - IF this kid had a little more help from teammates then I would pick the Tomcats as the team to beat. She's the top player in 8AA.
  19. LOL.....i think everyone knows a situation like this!
  20. Humboldt beat Crockett County on Saturday in a close game. The Vikings had a couple of powerful dunks that had the gym rocking! Humboldt has to be better at the foul line, but I think they'll be much improved by the postseason. Looks like the Vikings are gonna be a force in single A this year.
  21. No one is denying that his 800 wins aren't impressive, they're just looking for more from MCHS in the post season. Injuries are a part of the game, so all the would've, could've, should've stuff doesn't matter. Ya'll have me intrigued, I'm coming to watch some MCHS games this season. You never know, with talented Wade-Warren leading the way, this just might be the year for a deep postseason run to Murfreesboro!
  22. Your list is excellent! Let's keep an eye on South Greene, the two-time defending Class A champion that's moving up to Class AA this season. Lots of talent on this team.
  23. ding - ding - ding - ding....we have a winner! Doesn't look like the LCHS administration is very confident. They'll probably use the ole " we don't need them, they need us " excuse.
