  1. 2020- no declared winner is what I predict it'll be in the guide
  2. I think this will be in future state tournament guides as 2020- * No declared winner* unfortunately. The two things we will end up taking from this tournament is another State Tournament Banner and we will always remember that Chloe Moore was the 2 time Ms. Basketball winner (and very well deserved). Outside of our team players, she has been my favorite player to watch the last 4 years and the magic she brought to the court.
  3. The poster that brought Westview in to this convo was by a person who just created their profile on Monday according to their profile. Probably a kid. Sportslover88 is the only Westview "fan" that I'm aware that even posts on CoachT in basketball and maybe 2-3 other posters in football season. GC will stand up for ours and some of us will stand up for honorable programs who play and respect the game the right way. Most, if not all, of us at GC pull for Greenfield when they're not playing us or contending with us for some title. Of the WV fans/coaches/players I know and have known from WV, they stay farther above the fray than some of us Single A supporters in here and I don't think they really care about anyone else' opinion or comments and some have told me how they laugh at some of the comments made on here. On another note, my son just called me and said there's a change.org petition which has been started by someone with over a 1000 signatures addressed to the TSSAA. I don't think it'll change anything, but I do think it's great that people are letting the TSSAA know their feelings on the matter.
  4. Sorry to hear that. I've never intentionally thrown any jabs at any of the Greenfield players. Some of the fans yes, but never the girls. I don't know what I'd be jealous of first of all? I don't know GCfan2, so I can't speak for him/her. Sorry the tourney didn't play completely out. I believe it would've come down to Greenfield & Loretto. Good luck to Greenfield in the years to come. It's been fun watching these last 4 years of Greenfield basketball and I'm sure it's been a fun ride. Two great players, who are classy & humble, who'll have their numbers retired and will go on to bigger arenas. I appreciate good play and good players, but poor fan sportsmanship I do not.
  5. I agree with that. GreenfieldFan has taken it to the edge a couple of times, but that's alright. We're all very proud of our girls, but some of these posters on here are downright offensive and ignorant. I've got family that has been through our program and through Westview's program and I know how they go about their business. Discipline, humility, and respect...for themselves and others. That's why I "snap" back at times myself.
  6. Since play has been suspended, how can I get my substate/sectional gate admission money back? I still have my game ticket. Asking for thousands of people in Tennessee.....just kidding.
  7. It was suspended after the lawyers got involved. Maybe the TSSAA will tell the truth on this matter, so the fans can understand and the young ladies/men will know why they were not allowed this moment.
  8. Overall from top to bottom, our whole area is kind of down. Overall record has more to do with who you play instead of how good your record indicates. Greenfield has a great team and was the top team in 1A in our area this year, but don't be so foolishly blinded by your own team spirit that you don't recognize other good teams out there...in other parts of the state. They may not have perfect records, but their losses "typically" were to power house programs. I believe the Dresden fanbase and Greenfield fanbase are starting to become similar. I've been reading outrageous comments all year from certain Greenfield fans on here, talking about their greatness, and what they'd do to other teams, and even a lot of disrespectful talk towards other teams (unwarranted). I was pulling for GC to win it all and if we couldn't, then for Greenfield to win it. From my perspective of coacht (primarily football boards) and from my observation of the fans of sporting events at Dresden's games...they're the worst in our area (blaming others, blaming refs, plain ole' excuse makers). Just an honest observation. #truth
  9. A Champiionship Game: Greenfiled v. Loretto (winner- Loretto) AA Championship Game: Westview v. Macon County (winner- Macon County) AAA Championship Game: Arlington v. Whitehaven (winner- Whitehaven) Those are my pics.
  10. In all honesty, I don't think we could've beat Loretto this year. They're a powerhouse and we're not the same team as last year, even though I'm extremely proud of how our girls played and how far they got. On the other side of the bracket, I think Greenfield v. ClarkRange could've went either way. My biggest concern with Greenfield is the way they play. If they got the wrong officiating crew, they'd have foul trouble early. In the end, I think Loretto would've won it all if it had played out. I was at the Greenfield v. Loretto early in the season at Westview and yes, it was like a home game for Greenfield. Greenfield won that day, but that game is like every other 1st half of the season game.....it's not played the same. Little Darby kept Greenfield in the game in the 1st half and Chloe took it over in the 4th. At the Boro and with the longer court, I predict Loretto would've won by 6-10. They're very long at every position, have a U-Conn recruit, and are better rebounders. Wished it all could've played out, because today would've been an awesome day of basketball.
  11. True. I guess the TSSAA & University assessed the legal liability, since they had closed their own campus to students....but left it open for high school tournament play.
  12. lol. Then he must be drinking it too. AAU and regular season team play is two different animals.
  13. Final regular season rankings don't equate to Championships.
  14. LOL. Now, you're just making jokes. Put that Kool-Aid down and you'll come back to reality.
  15. If the refs that called Greenfield's game today are as touchy tomorrow, Greenfield will have some foul issues to deal with. The grabbing isn't allowed as much up here as it is back in the West. Should be a great game tomorrow between 2 very good programs. Go Jackets from your GC neighbors.
  16. Congrats to Greenfield from GC. Get ready, tomorrow will be a tougher test. Hopefully, we'll move on after tonights game. Chloe showed why she's Ms. Basketball very early on. Good luck tomorrow against CR.
  17. Sounds like a delusional Greenfield fan. For anyone that knows basketball and has seen both teams play multiple times, early in the season after the loss of Callins due to injury, Greenfield would've beat them by 10 or so. Since WV's healthy, that score would be flipped. Greenfield doesn't play anyone who plays defense the way WV does. Either way, our ideas of any outcome is only speculation. We play both and respect both.....both are good teams. Greenfield needs to be more concerned with Clarkrange rather than AA Westview. What's sad...the WV fans I've talked to up here today are pulling for Greenfield to win it all. It's a county thing...Greenfield is turning in to another Dresden fanbase with characters like this one I quoted.
  18. Good luck to Westview against the Lady Bees from your GC neighbors!
  19. I have a feeling that after the quarterfinal games tomorrow (Thursday), either the fans will not be allowed entry or it will be restricted to family. It's shaping up the way the rest of the country is restricting or eliminating large areas of contact.....except for Wal-Mart. We'll see how this turns out, but that's the feeling that I'm getting. Hopefully, I'm wrong....but not that often.
  20. Great game Westview & Grainger. Give Grainger credit for fighting their way back in it too.
  21. Good luck to the Westview Lady Chargers tonight from your GC neighbors. Win & Advance!
  22. Truly deserved and would've gotten my vote.
  23. I'm going on out of a "short" limb for next year in AA....Jada Harrison from Westview. The freshman dropped 33 against Covington last night and one of the fans, who went to the game I talked to, who is actually from Covington said he couldn't remember the last time a player put 30 on them and teams typically have a hard time breaking 30 on them collectively. Remember that name......
