  1. Mmm idk bout that I agree with a lot of you right picks but think you are way off to say Boeck and Javier won't be close. Unless Javier does something stupid (which he has been known to do) I think he beats Boeck
  2. I think CBHS wins it by 10. I think McCallie wins the matches they are suppose to down low. i don't think they pin at 106, 120, or 126 and i think CBHS will just be to strong up top for them
  3. Yea I would also like to know the same thing because i see it going a very different way
  4. Im just going to make a top 4 pick instead of going threw all the rounds 1. CBHS 2. Baylor 3. McCallie 4. Father Ryan
  5. so not trying to argue but your telling me that since flynn decided to try to find the best opportunity for himself and went to a school that will travel and get him the opportunities and competition that he needs that tennessee doesn't want to claim him? His residence is still Tennessee and he will compete in the Tennessee freestyle/greco state tournament
  6. No one going to throw Cooper Flynn into thi? I mean everyone does realize he is still a Tennessee kid and will wrestle In Tennessee this summer.
  7. I usually agree with you but not on this one. I think that having 3 divisions in Tennessee is watering it down a little to much, but there definitely needs to be a private and public split. Private schools have so many more connections, boosters, and really a lot more freedom to travel to tougher tournaments and get better competition. Now i know that there are some public schools who have good funding and can travel good but thats like 1 out of every 50 teams in Tennessee. For example Mccallie, Christian Brothers, and Baylor have all got to travel to tournaments that make the state tournament in Tennessee look like a begginers tournament. Most of your public schools won't be able to leave Tennessee because they either they don't have the funds or they don't have the transportation.
  8. I think Union wins it, Pulaski 2nd, Bradley 3rd
  9. I'm interested in seeing the finals of 138 and 160. I think 138 we will see Bradford from Blackman and Pace from Baylor in the finals and i think that will be a good match up. At 160 could be Rienche from Baylor and Rippy from beech in the finals, which to me could be one of the best matches of the tournament.
  10. Seeley will stay at 120. Braxton Mann is making his weigh down to 113 if he isn't already there for The Hill. Cannon beating Horst? You crazy. I could see them meeting in the semi finals of state and they might meet in the finals at WC but don't think that the match will even be close
  11. At Beast of the east Cooper flynn knocks of flowrestlings number 2 ranked wrestler Ryan Miller of Blair Academy
  12. Don't need to look at last years medalist or qualifiers in my opinion neither are one of the top teams in the state. Now come state time they might prove me wrong and that's what I love about the sport. Been around a lot of wrestling and some darn good teams and can tell you doesn't always matter about how many qualifiers or placers you had the year befor. Guys switch weights, guys get hurt, guys burn out, some put a lot more time in during the summer, some transfer to different teams or states. Lot more goes into it then, well we had a lot of qualifiers last year.
  13. Cause I don't think either is in the top 2 teams in their area. Huge Bradley fan and I have huge respect for Ben but he lost some heavy hitters, not saying he can't rebuild just think it will take a little longer then a year
  14. I would put Christian Brothers and Arlington as my teams in the west, Beech and Father Ryan for middle, McCallie and Cleveland for Chattanooga, and Science Hill and Heritage as the best in East Tennessee
  15. I like both of those comments. My top 5 would be Reiniche- Baylor Kramer- Wilson Central Javier- Heritage Bowers- CBHS Martin- William Blount
  16. Just wanted to get some thoughts on who people had as the top 5 pound for pound guys in the state(including up coming freshman).
  17. Hmmm Iowa isn't looking at 100 pound high school kids? Kurt Mchenry is the number 1 recruit in the nation and He has wrestled at 100 this summer. Sam Latona won Fargo at 88 last year and he is ranked 3rd in the country at 106 now and is one of the top recruits in the country. Spencer Lee the top recruit in the country last year wrestled 113 for almost his hole high school career. Cooper is just in 8th grade pretty sure he will be getting bigger threw out his high school career but if not I can almost bet money big colleges will still be looking at him.
  18. Keep my darn brothers name out of your mouth. He has worked his #### off to be at the level he is and just shows how much of a joke you are with that kind of a comment
