  1. This one is a toss-up. WV has a chance to score 70 points in this one, but McMinn NEVER loses to WV. I won’t be surprised if either team wins. No prediction from me.
  2. We know. But had the “one-dimensional” offense not have turned the ball over, it probably would have resulted in Oneida possessing the ball longer with all the short yardage runs. Thus, playing keep-away, which is probably their best shot to win. Missed opportunities and penalties are definitely part of football, but hey so are turnovers.
  3. Congrats to Loudon. Would love to see you guys beat Marion.
  4. Well I’m not a McMInn County guy but I appreciate it. Lol not a fan of them just live close to McMinn and have seen them play.
  5. McMinn went 7-3 last year and made the playoffs while running the exact same offense. The blame shouldn’t be solely on coaching. The difference is the players are extremely young and inexperienced this year. There’s only so much you can do offensively as a coach if your kids are as young as they are. They are talented though. I predict they’ll be good in a year or 2.
  6. I’m taking the young McMinn team in this one.
  7. X’s and O’s don’t matter if you ain’t got the JIMMY’s and JOE’s Waves of athletes go in and out in cycles. That’s just how it is for many small/rural schools. You’ll be loaded for a few years and then down for a few more. HOWEVER, regardless of Oneida’s situation, Lambert will have his kids ready to go. Hope we don’t lay an egg. Go Tigers!
  8. I don't know much about Smith Co. but I'll take Sequatchie in this one. Well-coached, and they gave us a tough game 3 weeks ago.
  9. Watch out, if Sequatchie doesn't win, he'll accuse Smith Co. of "paying the refs"
  10. Parker McKinney and the jackets win in a BIG way Friday.
  11. I also don't wanna have to re-live a 2011 homecoming matchup with Central during which we came out flat...Bad memories man.
  12. Sweetwater can play. Very talented and well-coached. I'm a big Mike Martin fan. Wherever he has been (Sweetwater, Meigs, East Ridge, etc.) he's been a winner. Obviously he's doing just as good as an assistant at SW along with being the AD there as well. Don't know much about Sequoyah, but they will have to play a good game.
  13. This should be a good one. Hoping we come out absolutely juiced!
  14. Hahahaha you are actually serious about this?? I guess when you played South Pitt they paid the refs too? Give me a break my man...No one is paying referees. You guys have a GREAT team, and we wish you best. Hoping for a deep playoff run for Dunlap.......but don't get on here with that nonsense. *Yawn*.....Move on
  15. McMinn is just really young, but they get after it and are well-coached. Should be a good one.
  16. Trust me brother, no one in Decatur is talking down on Marion County. We haven't earned the right to do that yet. So it's all good.
  17. Going with Loudon, but should be a good game
  18. Sweetwater is very talented, but I didn't think they were very deep. We seemed to wear them down, and they ran out of gas in the second half. The athleticism and skill is definitely there though. Central needs to avoid letting them jump out to a quick lead.
  19. There seems to be buzz around Tellico every year..... I was impressed with them at the Jambo though. Good luck to both squads.
  20. Anytime Central has a Davis on defense, they are definitely scrappy!
