IMO it has more to do with the ties and tradition at MC. I don't think money for him is a big concern. That's just my speculation.

Overall 289-138... Coached at MC before ( 2 years).. So would only need 3 years for second retirement.. Would still need 4 at Dade. Plus coming back to where he has ties.. So it isn't like he came out of no where and he is a random hire for MC.

MC new coach was the head man for Dade Co last year. DP is a great hire for MC.

He coaches just across the state line.

RR, JC, CT and AC names I hear for SP DC. DP great hire for MC.

Blosser.. He quit on the team around game 3 or 4 this year.

They lost 3 good coaches.. Boldin, Coley and Petty.. Coaching makes the difference. They had enough talent returning not to go 2-8 for sure.

He was the DL coach past two years, not the DC.. Olinger stepped into a tough situation. Gets tougher Friday. Still Whitwell should still be better than what they are. Best of luck to the Tigers Friday.

Olinger wasnt the DC. Coley was for half the year and he is now a DC at a 6A school in South FL. Petty took over after he stepped down and he is now retired. Olinger will do fine at Whitwell. Boldin has made a great hire on the defensive side. It will be released soon.

No they were a good team. Couldn't beat SP. SP loves to throw shade at Whitwell any chance they can get.

Year older and a year more in the weight room. They were good enough to beat SP twice. First game they pushed SP around. Playoff game wasn't the case until late but you can't discredit what they did the first game vs SP. You act like they were awful.

GB will def be one of the best upfront as well. Whitwell will be starting mostly SR upfront with some being 2-3 year starters. That will help but mostly all of the skill has graduated.

There is talent coming up. Has to be developed. Let's see how the hire goes. Whitwell will have one of the best OL/DL in 1A with most of the talent returning there. They take a big step back in the skill department. The next hire is key and if they can keep the core of the staff together.

He has been clocked in the mid 4.5... People forget that is fast enough lol... Not everyone has 4.3-4.4 speed... Will play OLB/ Nickle more than likely... Slot WR also is an option. They offered as an ATH. I think JSU seeing him in camp past two years made the difference in the offer. Kids from smaller schools have to get out to camps to get offers these days IMO.

Hudson Petty from Whitwell but won't be long. Got a full Ride offer from JSU. Few others have offered as well.
