what time is the Sequatchie/Upperman game?

I think one reason that schools hire from within is because when you bring in someone from outside the school they look at it as a stepping stone job. Outsiders don't usually stick around small communities.

You can use carpet fresh or call Stanley Steamer to try and to get the stain and stench out after playing Upperman, but you're right, sometimes that doesn't work either.

It was just now posted on the T$$AA website. They must not be in a big hurry or they already know who they are gonna hire.

Found it interesting that the Friday Main Event show picked Rockwood in this region and everyone else is picking Oneida, Monterey, or York.

they've had several undefeated teams there over the years. That semi-final team wouldn't crack the top 10 teams for them, they just got a run late in the year. If I'm not mistaken that team lost to Cannon County that year. The only York team to ever lose to Cannon

it's a little different situation at say a RBS or Pickett County. They don't have enough kids and most of the people at those places don't seem to care (not much pressure on the coach). Grundy on the other hand thinks they should be competing against the Sequatchie Valley teams on a regular basis. Like I said, I'm a complete outsider so I know nothing about the ins and outs of what is happening. I do know it has been a disaster there (Grundy) for years.

How is Hogeye going to be in the upcoming season? I heard that Coach Lamb was stepping down a week or so back. Any truth to that?

As an outsider looking in at this program for the last 30 years or so I would have to say you are dead on in your assessment. One could argue this might be one of the worst coaching situations in the state. I don't know why anyone with other options would ever want this job.

Arguably one of the best championship games ever was the 1980 Knox Rule/Brentwood Academy game at Knoxville Rule. BA won 21-20. Rule went for two to win it and didn't make it. The atmosphere at that game was electric.

82 was the first year it was held at a neutral field

I know this is gonna get hammered, but in the early 80's it was hosted by one of the teams playing in it. All three games (only 3 classifications then) were played at the same time as every Friday had been for the previous 14 weeks. The routine for the teams did not change. How Awesome would that be and how good of an economic boost for a small rural town to have a few thousand people come in and spend a little money?

I don't have that info, I have always been under the impression (and I could very well be wrong) that a head coach must be a certified teacher. Assistants don't have to be, but they have to take all the NFHS courses which ALL coaches have to take on a yearly basis.

I'm confused. Who was Pruitt going to hire as QB coach? His dad or the kid's dad?
