  1. Didn’t that game last year turn into a bit of a brawl? Or am I thinking of another game?
  2. That’s funny right there... I don’t care who you are.
  3. And most of those yards are first half yards. He usually doesn’t even touch the ball once the first half is over. The only game he’s played all the way through was TC. So yeah... 258 yards on 13 carries, mostly in the first half. Great kid, tough, humble, does it the right way.
  4. Then he’ll just fly there... the kid can do it alL. He was also the punter and field goal and kick off guy last game. Our kicker was out.
  5. We love our Purple Tigers... but at the end of the day it’s just great seeing these kids care so much about something larger than themselves. I have some friends in Houston county who have said something similar about CA folks. It just a culture thing I guess. Looking forward to Friday. The Forrest Student section always my Friday night.
  6. D-Ray is a different runner than Turner and Love. They were battering rams, D-Ray is more elusive. He’s got pretty good vision and has gotten a lot stronger since last year. He’s fun to watch.
  7. He made it. But just barely. By about 2 inches. However, TC’s second TD should have been a touchback. I have seen the video on that. It was a fumble about 6 inches from the goal line, fumbled into the end zone and then went out of bounds. Should have been H2O ball on the 20. The funny thing is I saw it from the visitors bleachers clean on the other side of the field in real time. That’s why I wanted to see the video to see if my eyes were deceiving me. They weren’t. The Ref standing not two feet away from the action missed it. But them’s the breaks. If we would have lost that game on that call it would have been horrible, but nothing you can do about it... except get the video and watch it over and over again :^). I do agree that TC would be a different team if they played H2O in the playoffs... but so would H2O. This team has suffered through some pretty tough injuries and only become deeper and more diverse as a result. So ultimately no one really know what would happen, that’s why they play the games. All that being said, it would be one heck of a game.
  8. Forrest is always tough. Great atmosphere at their home field. Their student section was awesome the last time we made the trip up I-24. Haven’t really seen them on film yet this year. Last year at Robinson Stadium was a classic with a last minute TD and 2 pt conversion for the Purple to take the win. I always worry about teams with tough kids that don’t quit. The Rockets are on that list. H2O won’t be overlooking them, I’m sure of that. Looking forward to another hard fought game.
  9. I hear WR/CB Allison might be back. Even if he can play they might want to get him out early. They probably won’t need him all that much for this game. It’s his senior season and it would be great for him play as much as possible, but an extra week of healing might be better for team down the line. Great kid. All heart and effort.
  10. LOL. I think they’ll be busy with Cascade at Homecoming. So I think you’ll only have Eagles to contend with. But it looks like Westy had a big win against CA this week. The Creekbank is a bit of double edge sword. TC always has the home field advantage but everyone sees playing there as a statement game, so TC always gets everyone’s best. Great tradition there. The end zone billboard says it all.
  11. H2O had to play at Westmoreland the past two years due to a scheduling glitch. The Purple won both games but both games were nail biters. They come to Robinson Stadium this year. Good luck, they always play tough.
  12. I think everyone would love that. Always a great game when the Jackets come to town. But take care of Westmoreland at the Creekbank this week.
  13. What do you guys think about Westmoreland? I guess we’ll find out this week at the Creekbank.
  14. I will reiterate #25 Price for Watertown and add #4 Carey, as well. He’s Junior with nice moves and good vision. Price is just a freak athlete with a lot of heart. Does everything well.
  15. Cousino is going to be special. For a freshman he’s already very poised. Can’t wait to see him with a few years experience.
  16. Jackets did well against G’ville. Good job to your boys.
  17. The Champions come calling for Homecoming at Robinson Stadium. After showing no loss of focus in the first half of the Dekalb game, scoring 48 unanswered points, is anyone willing to predict the half time and final score of this one? I’m thinking 42-0 at the half, 54-13 final. Ready...... go.
  18. The reports have been in the papers in Wilson county all week. Wilson Post, Lebanon Democrat, not a big secret. Plus when your starting QB is in a sling all week at school, the cat's sort of out of the bag at that point.
  19. What’s the word on TC #72? Hoping he’s ok.
  20. From what I understand he made some bad life choices. He's not injured.
  21. Haven't heard about who is or isn't playing. But it is possible that Webster's injury wasn't as bad as originally thought. We'll just have to see. Hopefully they'll both be back soon. Hate to see anyone hurt, but especially seniors. Both are great young men and great leaders. Even if they're not playing, they'll be on the sidelines helping their understudies play at their best.
  22. Starting QB, Webster. Starting WR/CB Allison
