Clark has a lot more supporters in Powell than people seem to believe. I believe the sign came down based off administration making an emotional decision. I’m sure there has already been community members advocating for it to be put back up. It shocks me that they did that. They ruin a relationship with Duncan just to protect an assistant coach.

Rematch from this season where South Doyle beat Knox Central 38-10 in a downpour. Forecast looks clear for this Friday so obviously Central will have their passing game back and will be on a revenge mission. Central couldn't stop Elijah Young last matchup who rushed for 5 TD's and 250 yards. Will they be able to stop him this time? And Mason Brang is finally back from a broken leg that sidelined him earlier this season against Gibbs. Central also regains the 2 players that were suspended for the last matchup. Who do you all see taking this game and facing either West or Powell in the semis?

EY started at SD as a freshman. Any freshman can go to any school in Knox county. Get your facts straight. SD runs a clean program. Out of all the stud Freshman athletes at Powell I don’t think 75% of them live in Powell zone. #9 freshman receiver went to SD middle all his years. Potts is a Farragut kid. Freshman CB has been all over the place as well as Foust. All those kids are fair game because they were 8th graders. Do your middle school recruiting and stay away from other high school programs. It’s classless.

Powell has some great 8th graders. Knox County is so open that you would be a fool to not recruit kids coming out of 8th grade. That’s why all these Fulton kids are now at Powell. But if allegations are true, it’s low to try and pull players from other high school teams. Have no idea what TSSAA could do with he said he said. But if 2 schools are reporting it, there’s gotta be something to it.

He rushed 11 times for 245 yards against Cherokee last Friday. 4 TDs as well. He could've walked in the end zone a couple times. Was hardly touched all night. As long as we can stop Boone's rush I feel very confident about this game.

It’s not that easy to get a QB ready to play. You can’t expect a kid just to throw it up to all these “athletes” and they make a play. A sophomore QB gets rattled by a million different things. Go back to Seymour game. EY got ejected and their QB was rattled beyond belief and couldn’t throw the ball at all. If Trusley went down Powell would be doing the exact same thing because it’s not that easy to get a young QB ready to play. Doesn’t matter what athletes that are surrounding him.

Your knowledge of the situation is horrible. It’s not as easy for a sophomore QB to step in games against the top 5A teams in the state. You’re just looking for attention .

There weren’t many adjustments made by either side. Powell scored off good field position from a blocked punt, a adjustment doesn’t create that advantage. Right before half SD scored on a long pass called back for a pitiful holding penalty. It was just a complete battle where neither side could gain an advantage. I don’t understand how you can say that’s a coaching problem. Should be a round 4 matchup and it will be a battle again.

If EY finds a hole, he is gone. Central had 9 in the box and EY scored on a long TD run. If South Doyles line can get just enough push, I fully believe Elijah will take off. Walker is a VERY good QB. I think this game comes down to how SDs defense plays. If they stop the pass they win, if they can't they lose.

No doubt that I believe there will be a rematch between these two teams in the semi finals. EY is a stud of a player but Powell has a fantastic front seven. Not sure if they are going wildcat again but unless Powell plays 3 and 5 in the secondary, I think SD can also pass. I think SD can stop the run but how are they going to stop Trusley and the passing game. I think it’s going to be a fantastic game!

You do understand we were missing our 3 year starting QB as well as our starting LT and our Guard went out in the second quarter. This loss is gonna hit central harder than you think.

This ain’t a small victory. Y’all put 9 in the box and we still rushed for 270 and put up 38 points on your very good defense. Y’all could’ve ran the ball just as well as we did. Have fun against Crockett in the first round.

I'm hoping both sides don't decide to rest a bunch of players for the playoffs but who knows. Should be a good battle.

Statistically. TSSAA reports all points for and against. In their 21 game win streak they had the least points against them. Centrals DBs are far better than Powell’s. Fortner is better than Colton Webb. Now Powell’s Dline and LBs are better than centrals but how healthy is #44 for Powell? They eventually figured it out against Oak Ridge but you could tell Powell just scrambling trying to figure out ways to stop oak ridge running game because big #55 couldn’t squeeze to save his life.

Yes because if we get to play again we will have #10 back at QB.

Don’t know what SD Powell will look like next week but if they meet in the semis I’ll still take SD. Centrals defense is far better than Powell’s and Oak Ridge proved you can run and put up big numbers on Powell. Powell has depth and is a 4th QTR team but if SD can turn on the rushing game again I’ll take them.

I agree everything seems a little odd. Going into this all I didn't think any unsportsmanlike could get overturned because it is a opinion call by the referee. Meadows had to have some kind of good evidence that he didn't do anything to deserve a suspension. I do wish that TSSAA released the evidence submitted for all overturned appeals to keep people accountable but that will never happen. Just read an article saying Meadows was overturned because the unsportsmanlike was called against an assistant coach but they threw out meadows. Misapplication of the rule.

If Rosser has already sent in appeals, which I assume he did first thing Monday morning, and hasn't heard anything back, I would be surprised if they get overturned. I was surprised seeing Meadows was reinstated but I don't see how 2 unsportsmanlike penalties can be overturned, especially on players.

Watched the replay this morning and 2 Central players were definitely ejected, I am just not sure which ones. Adversity is a tough thing for this SD team, I will completely agree with that. We did have big plays against Seymour, each of which was called back. It is hard to get other offensive players productive when Young takes two 80 yard runs to the end zone. SD is not just feeding him the ball. He averaged 20 yards a carry last night on only 15 carries.

Seymour got lucky with officiating. No one has stopped #2 yet this year but the officials. If your going to beat SD I don’t think it’s stopping their offense, I think you have to score on their defense. Halls was able to put up points with their run game which seems to be a weakness for SD. I don’t see Central running the ball on SD with that small of a offensive line and I don’t see them beating SD with speed on the perimeter with screens which they have been doing a lot of recently. Comes down to the trenches for me. Which o line is going to want it more.
