My five would be
1. Meigs
2. Westview 7-5 in 3A last year
losses were Milan, Covington, South Gibson (twice) and Ensworth.
Milan was runner up and beat South Gibson and Pearl Cohn to make it to State.
3. Marion
4. Trousdale
5. Union City.
We have posted the schedule to him like four times. I’m confused why a 3A almost 4A sized school would even want to play down to a single A school. Maybe he wants them to have a easier path to Cookeville lol
Coulda woulda shoulda ,but didn’t. Peabody would have a lot more gold if we had current coaching staff longer. We can talk all day about the what if’s but what matters is whose case has the gold and silver.
Schedule is already full. Peabody posters never said we wanted to play Alcoa. All that was said was because we played milan similar that we thought we would get 7 points in a game. Never even said we would be competitive. Besides we don’t have to make a name for ourselves y’all’s way. Peabody is doing it on their own. Maybe we can reach a milestone like Alcoa’s someday but for now we are just happy for the recent success we have seen in our program. 100 years of football and 4 championships in the last 7 years is a big accomplishment for us. No need to go fight the giants of Tennessee.
Region definitely #1
I think as far as state I’ll say 2 behind Peabody.
I think the top 4 preseason will be
1. Peabody
2. Fayetteville
3. South Pittsburg
4. McKenzie
not my poll just what I think the AP will be.
I think one thing that will hurt is one year of no actual games. I think it takes them half a season or a full season to get things rolling good enough to complete with the better teams.
Fayetteville probably has the hardest road to the title game of anyone other than McKenzie. Because they play each other.
3rd round looks to be a McKenzie Fayetteville matchup
4th round hopefully is a Peabody matchup
McKenzie was a young team this year too I believe. They took the tide to overtime this year in the playoffs.
If they make it to the title game then watch out. Idk who can play with them then.
Do you think Alcoa Watched the Peabody game to make their game plan? A lot of the things they did looked similar to the Peabody game plan. Just my opinion.
