  1. Haha....one game at a time Big P! you on the radar this week! Hope nobody calls the SPCA on us after putting a beating on them pups!
  2. They might have played some as Freshman and maybe 1 or 2 started as Sophomores, but in my 20+ years of watching Huntingdon football there have only been a handful of kids come through that "started" as freshman. I do agree the next 2 years we should be in the hunt for a gold ball (if coached correctly) but after that only time will tell.
  3. Your right, however, we did play Waverly (which did give us a measuring stick) we also played Camden (which gave us another measuring stick) and we play Milan this week which will also give us a measuring stick to see just where we stand as a team and allows us to get more reps with the 1st string unit vs a running clock the entire 2nd half. (hopefully) No doubt these 2 schools are on a collision course (barring anything crazy happening) and it will all be settled in OUR backyard this time. We will welcome you to Paul Ward Stadium, we will pray with you, then we will let the pigskin fly!!
  4. Well heck, guess we did ok in that game considering all the D1 talent they had. I don't think anyone sat down the entire game!
  5. It was fun to watch!! Chris Donald carrying 3-4 tornados on his back into the end zone. Ya'll had a stud as well (his name slip me now), he was a beast and signed with TN I think. Lived with the coach so I heard. And MAN WAS IT COLD!!!
  6. Lord have mercy....cant wait to see the thread if both teams make it to round 3!! I will say this is not the place to call out kids unless giving praise. Both teams are very talented this year again and looking to cakewalk into the playoffs. Cornersville just needs to remember it's in HTOWN this year and winning here....well it just don't happen very often for the visiting team!! And hasn't happened since the carpet went down!!
  7. Huntingdon 49 Milan maybe 21. Way too fast for Milan this year! Huntingdon needs to work on kickoff coverage for sure and hold on to the football a little better. Gonna be a long night for Milan puppies!
  8. Huntingdon is NOT senior dominated....might want to check that data again...mostly Juniors and Sophomore's driving this team.
  9. If my memory serves me correctly, I think Huntingdon played Trenton on opening night of your new stadium. Had a helicopter fly in and drop off somebody... seemed like Dave Brown or Jerry Lawler maybe Lance Russell lol... All kidding aside this would be a good game to schedule. I would suggest early in the year, give both teams time to heal cuz this would be a good un!!
  10. TRollin I'll give credit where its due, no doubt your QB and WR were top notch when you came to Paul Ward Stadium!! But....if I'm honest, your receivers were making great catches as your QB was running for his life. It's not like he had protection and was sitting in the pocket hitting great crossing routes. (maybe a couple) I saw 2 growth areas for Waverly and it was definitely the offense/defensive lines. Our linemen were beating you badly on both sides of the ball. Yes, you came out and set the world on fire the 2nd half and caught our boys a lil point drunk after the half. (they are kids and hard to motivate when they are scoring at will in the 1st half) With all that having been said. Waverly.. Yes you have a fine football team, and you will win a bunch of games this year. BUT...if you go into the playoffs one dimensional....it will be short lived. (and yes you were one dimensional vs. Huntingdon because they shut your running game down) Trust me, us Huntingdon folks know this all too well. Best of luck to ya on Friday night!!
  11. Man I love your passion for TPFB!! Just remember you heard here first....Waverly is no joke!! Don't let that score between the Mustangs and them fool you. We jumped on them early...had we not....game goes the other direction!! Fact! You want to watch video I would start with them....kinda 1 dimensional...but very very good at what they do well.
  12. Had the pleasure of knowing Will since he was just a young un. Fine young man that comes from a great family. Prayers out for them, just doesn't seem real!
