  1. I think Chloe plays at a mid major or close to home. Bethel is trying very hard to get her and her dad has been in touch with the coach Nelson. Anywhere she goes, she will be a phenomenal player. I personally would love to see her in Tennessee orange, but I don't think Harper is interested. Her cousin or aunt (i am not sure) Brittany peoples who has her jersey retired at Greenfield, played at Jackson state community college. Brittany played wanted to play close to home and could have went to a mid major or a NAIA. Chloe's family is very tight and supportive of each other, so I would imagine that she wouldn't go far off to play ball. My guesses would be Bethel UTM or Belmont.
  2. I was wondering this myself. They beat a good Huntingdon team by double digits too before Christmas. They have been too up and down this year. I don't know if this is related or not but I have been seeing videos on twitter of some extremely dirty play during their game with tipton rosemark and someone else as well. Them girls may have a major attitude problem.. who knows?
  3. Dresden must have shot it well against a good well Bradford team. Putting up 75 points is rare against Bradford, (unless your Greenfield). Another score that surprised me, was Henry County only beat a struggling Springfield team by 10 points. I Kind of of thought that Dyersburg would have taken that game tonight because of how well they have played recently. But Westview is tough to beat at home.
  4. @Croppygenius How did Huntingdon look last night against Henry County? I know our girls are ready to play y'all again.
  5. Did Eli Hammonds play basketball last year? If he did I don't remember him. You are right.. it just didn't look like the Peabody teams of the past. Maybe as the season goes on and y'all get used to playing together Trenton will improve.
  6. Union City beating Dresden tonight by 17? Didn't see that one coming... I know UC is much improved but I figured this would be a really close game. It will be interesting to see how Union City plays as the year goes on. I wanna see how they play against Greenfield again and Gleason.
  7. Y'all played well to start the game and it was a decent game at the half (31 to 19). But we pulled away in the fourth quarter. I enjoying watching the Ross kid play and # 10 who I don't know his name. The Golden tide struggled to shoot the ball tonight. Peabody had great shot selections but the ball wouldn't fall in the basket. I am not sure if we play yall again but it would be a good test because not many teams on our schedule is as quick and athletic as Peabody is. Y'all will improve as the year goes on, just give it some time.
  8. Yea they are well coached and some key players. They upset us last year during the regular season and they know what it takes to beat us. Interesting to see how the tough non district schedule helps the war eagles as they get into the postseason.
  9. That matchup with Dresden for second place has been tough the past couple of years. Has Union City improved this year?
  10. McKenzie has started out the season undefeated! How are the other teams in District 11 doing?
  11. Both teams are floating in the same boat with starters out. Will be interesting to see how both of these teams are once they are healthy. I just think this year is the best chance for Gleason to get to state.
  12. I know McKenzie played them well in a scrimmage just before the season started. We gave a great game and lost by 8 to 10 points. SS is a very athletic team and very well coached. Don't see anybody in West TN beating them.
  13. Crockett has looked good both times we have played them. They do a great job spreading the floor and managing the clock. They have really good shooters and Pankey is one of the better PG's I have seen this year. Should be a dark horse in the region.
  14. Obion is young this year but they do have a first year head coach in Chad Levister. He is a very good coach and should have them improved as the season goes on. A struggling McKenzie team beat Obion by 3 on Friday. Obion does have some good players and a lot of potential.
  15. Chloe Moore -Greenfield Macey Lee - TCA Rachel Childress - Dresden Madison Hart - GC Yasmine Pankey - Crockett Adyn Swenson- Huntingdon Kyla Warren- McNairy Tess Darby - Greenfield Kennady Atkins- Gleason Emily Jones - USJ
  16. I disagree with some of the comments I have seen about Gleason. They have played really well without their two top players in Atkins and Anderson. They have a deep bench and some great young players. Tough schedule against some quality opponents and have played well. Atkins should be back after Christmas from her injury (don't know about Anderson). Right now I see Greenfield and Gleason representing region 7 at state. GC has been too up and down so far this year for me to see them at the glass house in March. It is shaping up to be a fun year in single A ball for West Tennessee.
  17. Huntingdon should be back in the mix. They were a young team this year and with Kaci Fuller back at 100% they are a dangerous team. The Fillies don't lose a starter and they mad about how their season ended. Dresden should compete better as they only lose starter, and gain more depth (they had 7 players last year). Expect the lady lions to challenge for the top spot in Region 7.
  18. Watched some flim on UH today. This team will look very similar to the Summertown team that we faced in the region semis. Everyone on the floor can knock down the 3 and they are very patient on the offensive end. We are have to stay disciplined on the defensive end, close out on shooters, and not pick up ticky tack fouls. I think McKenzie has the advantage because we have athletic guards and a big man in the middle that not many teams can guard. Rebels should win by 5 to 10 points.
  19. McKenzie loses only one starter and get a group of 5 eighth graders that went undefeated in middle school ball. Huntingdon gets there starters back as well. Should be a more competitive battle between the lady rebels and the fillies for the top spot in 11A.
  20. I will second this!! The youth of Summertown and Loretto may take its toll tomorrow. Greenfield and Gibson County are veteran experienced players that know how to win tough games. Again Summertown and Loretto did not wow me when I watched them.
  21. Ok I am picking the West's games because I don't know anything about the other games. Columbia Academy over Loretto: I have seen CA once at McKenzie and to me they looked like a legitimate state contender. Very fast team and great shooters. Loretto has a big kid in James that is great athlete and a PG that is a lights out shooter. I think this is a close game but CA gets the edge. McKenzie over East Robertson: McKenzie is a quick and athletic team, where all five starters can hit the three. Will be a sold out crowd at Bethel. McKenzie is a very underrated team in Class A. Humboldt over MAHS: Humboldt has all the pieces that a great team should have. Quick athletic guards and a big stout front line. Humboldt is a very tough place to win at especially in the postseason. Manassas over Peabody: This game will be a lot closer than people think it will be. Peabody has played Humboldt very well this season. They have a Mr. Basketball candidate in Harris and he can do it all. Peabody has had other players step up big for them in the postseason. Manassas pulls away late to win.
  22. Liberty ( Jackson Tn) girls and boys basketball coaching jobs are open. Coach was let go by school system and is under investigation by Jackson Police department.
  23. Yea maybe you will say the same thing about her that I have been saying.
  24. Don't know why everyone is singling me out like that. I just stated what I saw. Yea Summertown never gave up when they were down by 6 to 8 points in the fourth against the Fillies. I like the way they play. Yea I played basketball in high school and it may be hard to believe but I know what I am talking about.
