I’m just curious. With Riverside being a relative small and country school, similar to Hohenwald, how do the Hohenwald people/fans feel about them reaching the State Championship game before them? After all the wins Hohenwald has had over the years; after all the high playoff percentage Hohenwald has had, is it not daunting that one of the rivals/premier opponents made it before them and that this opponent does not boast the same winning record? Does it gall that fan base? I would not know as Page has been there for back to back/two years in a row.

Roy, where have you been the past three days? Have to admit, I do find it a little comical that I pulled you over to being a fan of a winning program.

You know, for their game last week, I looked at GC’s schedule and noticed they played those three 5A schools. With all the calling out I’ve given Hohenwald over the years, I couldn’t help but think the GC coach did that schedule to prepare them for Alcoa or that type of school.

The only thing Milan has done since they were AA was due specifically and only because of Covid forfeits! In other words, Milan has not been anything of value since Moby Dick was a minnow! Honestly, I have a feeling this may be like last years title game. However, we were just excited to be there last year but this year, we feel as though we belong. Saying that, a lot depends upon the weather and breaks. If we can force a couple of turnovers and capitalize, I think we stand a decent to good chance this year. I don’t know much about West but do know they must be very good to make it this far!

Honestly, it does not bother me even one bit. I have a life outside of Coacht and these forums. So, if little high school girls are snickering behind my back, it really is no big deal. To be honest, my family doesn’t like me either. To deal with it, I just keep making more money than them and let them know it!

According to the Henry County and Springfield posters, their game was the actual State Championship game and the Mount Juliet poster who took three weeks to move beyond their loss?!?! On another note, I believe I brought in a new fan to the Page fandom!

14-14 Heck of a game!

Back in the day, GC had a difficult time getting past Lipscomb except that one year they were down and GC beat them on their way to the Championship. GC also played in another championship and didn’t get put out. Alcoa, last year as with most years, is going to beat everyone. If you exclude those three years over the past 15-20 years, there were some good teams GC fielded that should have been to the championship game but, somebody would put then out of the playoffs. Seems for several years it was Lipscomb but, other years it was random teams that knocked them out. This Sweetwater game is similar to those other playoff teams. However, they have played 3/4 5A schools this year to prepare for a playoff run so, they may just be primed for a championship run!

“1994”, General. Playoff history. One third round game in the past decade and only two in the last 20 years. Knowing this, the smart bet would be on Riverside. However, things have changed. New coach; new offense and new era!

Yeah, that’s so in the past, though. Congrats on your teams season!
