Great win for Maryville tonight, the defense looked good bend some but didn't break, the qb had command of the offense, he keeps getting better, he made the right reads, him and Davis gives maryville that nice 1,2 punch, the different sets they will throw at SH will be too much to handle Maryville 41-10

No disrespect to loudon, lenior city, heritage and WB after these past 2 weeks now we all have something worth watching tonight. I always pull for the locals and Greeneville is local so I can't go against them, I also pull for Alcoa an I go never go against them either, nobody lose tonight, it'll be great for the fans the best team in 4a vs the best team in 3a For the tricities folks if you can't attend you can either watch on rivalry Thursday or on WCYB it wasn't originally plan but where this game is huge they made an exception

Blaze might be on to something when he said SH gets in their own way, SH defense only gave up 7. Jeff County had one good drive where their Rb ran it down Sh throat. 14-7 with 2 minutes left before halftime JC backed up punted almost from their end zone but two personal fouls on the same drive kept it from Sh blowing it open before the half. Sh goes up 20-7 then Jc returns the kickoff and it's 20-14. Sh missed a fg and then threw an interception in the end zone, that game had a 30-7 feel but Sh gets in their own way. Jc has a good rb I would favor them slightly over Db

Yeah Oakland this season probably can't compare to the 2021 team, I would love to tell you region 1 or 2 has something for Oakland or can make it a game but I can't. Region 1 is sad, Science Hill going to win region 1, lord willing in two weeks maryville going to beat Science Hill something like 38-14, Bearden is hurt so it's basically Maryville. This isn't George Quarles maryville or tee hodge and aj davis maryville, this maryville team is going to count on a good offensive line to try to overpower Oakland, they have nothing at the skill position to out athlete Oakland To sum it up this year maryville team isn't better than last year Bradley Central and Bradley Central got dominated by Oakland, and Oakland this year was better than last year, MidTennFootball it ain't happening, the challenge for Oakland is Ravenwood, Germantown or Houston

Like you said it isn't that maryville isn't a respectable team they're much improved from last year, it's just there's different levels to high school teams. Just like Oakland wouldn't be able to beat the very best team in Texas but in TN this year only Baylor and mccalie would be able to hang or beat Oakland. I understand where you're coming from seeing the difference in talent up close, last basketball season my former school made the state championship since 1929, so we all went up to Richmond to play John Marshall who finished ranked 13th in the nation they beat us 89-32 only because they were toying with us, 48-9 in the second half and that's taken their starters out 6 minutes left in the 4th, there's different levels to this

Waco I get the bigger picture from you, it's best for WR to win and for Db to keep losing thereafter and hopefully this starts the cleaning house at Db. This is where it sucks for the true diehard Db fans WR can win 56-0 but the higher ups know come friday J Fred will be packed, other than mccalie vs Baylor this will be the most attended game in TN including playoffs, so half the crowd can leave after the band plays but they don't care because the money is already made. To make yall voices heard yall will have to make that stadium empty week after week and I promise you things will start to change

I hate Db going through this, for us folks in the tricities it's better when Db is relevant, I've been to many high school football games and ain't nothing like the atmosphere at j Fred. My Daughter cheers at Liberty Bell and their football team is average at best so Sh doesn't have nothing much heading their way right now, Db just needs some talented transfers

Waco when it comes to Db someone would be a fool to argue with you, you've been with this team forever, it's not that like you dislike Db when it seems like you're talking down on them, it's just as a loyal fan you want better and you know with some changes here and there Db could do better, you're not hating on your team, you pour your heart out for Db and we all know there's talent at Db every year whether the talent is playing or not their still there. If you just step back and really think about this game as down as Db is let's dissect this game, Db this year would mercy rule Sullivan Central, Db would mercy rule Sullivan North, Db would beat Sullivan South by 31 so when you put that all together Db has to be the clear favorite in this game

Bc you're absolutely right buddy, us as football fans we just have to enjoy the moment. Football takes so long to get here I want to appreciate it week by week and try not to think to far ahead, I know in all reality you can combine region 1 and region 2 in 6a and that team still wouldn't beat Oakland

Waco I think 2012 db and 2014 Sh is better than this year's Sh team, however this year's Sh team has a better chance at playing Oakland because the 12-14 team had to go through the monster maryville teams, with maryville still good but not like they use to be Sh has a chance to come out of region 1 but I will still favor Bearden and Maryville

Nah they wouldn't be o. Mater dei level....if you switch Morris and Boo, Morris would still made Bradley Central better but I don't think he would have took them to the level that Boo took them

Yes Waco like muddlehuddle said he should have been at db but the surprise moved to SH, he had a brother that graduated at South and he has another brother currently on the team with him #53 sawyer and a cousin playing there at science Hill #35 knox but he might just be on jv, I don't think he gets any varsity action

Morris better than Boo is tough, put Boo on Oakland, Oakland would have been in the top 25

I don't have a prediction but excited to see the outcome, we'll know more about both teams afterwards

Db got their hands full that's for sure but TN HiGH football program has decline over recent years, maybe one day they'll return to relevancy, that game was 33-0 1st quarter, your Indians will put up a way better fight than that. Db could really use #6 for SH I know his family, he grew up in the Sullivan South pipeline and I for sure knew once South consolidated he was going to db with a slight chance he'll end up at Westridge, I didn't see the move to SH in the forecast but it worked out for him. Much is made about SH TE and rightfully so he's committed to Colorado but SH runs through #6 he's a beast and what he has become none of us could have predicted because he didn't stand out when he was younger. Lord willing SH vs AC will be a game for the ages, but the Tribe will put up a better fight than TN HiGH

Good information, I'm not going to take anything away from Union like Waco said Union could be really good this year it just I knew something was missing for Union to play Betsy tough. Should be a great ballgame, I'm just glad it's serious now

You know who else is missed is Bradleysports23 Noone can find him anywhere

Waco you're definitely a lot of good athletes across the line and to be fair to Betsy, Union would be 3a in TN so that doesn't look bad, plus just a scrimmage but tonight on it's for real

I know we're all glad the scrimmages, jamborees, 7 on 7 and flag football is done an over, tonight starts we get to see who's who, I believe this is more of a toss up than many are expecting. Sh wasn't impressive against Greeneville however what none of the Betsy fans are reporting is Union Va a 2a school had their way with Betsy in a scrimmage I believe it was 27-27, that shouldn't have happened Betsy should have wipe them out, doesn't mean Betsy will lose to Sh but both teams have been unimpressive at times in the preseason

In other words Greeneville starters probably won't see any action in the 2nd half
