thats what im saying. I would pay high dollars to see Alcoa and Powell play. 2 different styles. Powell is explosive and Alcoa is shut you down. Would be interesting

Well i have to say, in 2018 Mt Juliet was the 2nd best team in 6a. Losing a defensive struggle to Oakland that year in the quarters was a shame. That was the championship game

Well we need Oak Ridge back to normal. 5a is missing out and others are taking advantage. Im sure by week 10 you guys will have it figured out and be playing your best ball and od be scared to see them with a regular season worth experience. These other 5a schools are out beating up on each other so you never know who will be healthy

The season is still young, I can see Oakridge making it past the 1st round of the playoffs. The will clean up the mistakes and maybe get a more consistent/variant offense going. Right now it just seems like they are predictable and aren't meshing. The defense just seems like maybe they key on one thing a game. Either stop the pass, DB game and stop the run West game. Arent you guys young this year?

I still say that anyone in 4a still doesn't want to see either Betsy or Greeneville come that time of the year. I think AC is below average compared to the last few seasons. And they still didn't make it past the team that won the district in region 1

I was actually impressed with the score in the West game. West is supposed to be up there with Powell. I didnt watch the game but West didn't blow them out like a top 2 or 3 team should have. I thought Oak Ridge had drastically improved since the DB game

Willing to go for it all because he still knows he gets another gold ball to add to his trophy case. When playing a team like Marivul, like the last few games, he knows a 9 point advantage isn't enough, you need all the comfort in the world. I don't blame him for going for it. Had Alcoa got it and scored on that drive, noone would be bashing him about winning 16 to 14

Hoover Bucs vs Permian Panthers. Hoover had a 14 point lead in the 1st half. Permian bit down and hit Hoover in the mouth with a forced fumble and a pick 6 the tide changed. They tied it up at 20 and the 4th qtr Permian grinded it out with QB sneaks and mis direction after doing play actions for the whole 3rd qtr. Permian put the game away with a 39 yard field goal to win a classic 30 to 27

It doesn't matter how bad they get beat, the boys on Ravenwood are probably pumped up to be playing someone like IMG. It gives them something to look forward to. They will probably be nervous, but they will learn alot from a team that has 20 d1 players and have fun doing so.

Staying healthy is key, but finding that chemistry along the way and getting better by playing the best will pay dividends for most teams. I'll take my chances with a 5 and 5 Oak Ridge against a 9 and 1 team with a weak schedule

But I love how willing Oak Ridge is to go out and schedule some big time out of district games. Being prepared at 5 and 5 for the playoffs is sometimes better than a 10 and 0 unbattled team. Ask DB back when they let William Blount handle them 1st round 2006 and Mcminn in 2008

I would love to see the districts get shaken up. Make it fun. You can put 4a and 5a schools in the same district. AC, Oak Ridge, Knox Powell, South Doyle, you could throw in a Bradley Central, Knox Central and Knox West. 3 non district games but that would be an onslaught of competition for the regular season. Good football every week. I know thats never clausible but just having some fun

yeah its reallt crazy how Florida and Texas are light years ahead of most everyone else. I would say Texas 1a schools win most every other states biggest divisions

Yeah its really nothing against Heritage or William Blount, they really have fell behind the eight ball with their programs, maybe never get them back. If they could. Why not just make 1 school out of the 2. But its not that I'm saying Marivul should play IMG, in fact noone in Tennessee should play them, just saying Marivul could schedule a couple bigger games every 5 years. Not every year, but like 2 per 5 years. Find a reasonable out of state team or play a private, i think you guys could compete with some if not all the privates.
