I’m not knocking Westview I just think losing Jada and getting back to state is impressive.

They will be back because they have an easy path back to state but they will miss Miya and Micah big time. They only played 5 players in championship game.

That’s pretty narrow minded. It’s not just about winning championships. So much to be proud of for teams to be consistently successful year after year and having chances to compete on big stage.

Congrats to Gibson Co., they had to go through a gauntlet to win. I didn’t think they had enough scoring but that defense proved me wrong. You and Westview will always be the favorites to get back to State with the path you have. Gibson county will miss Micah probably more than you realize.

As a Huntingdon fan congrats to Gibson County. Coach Wilkins just knows how to win big games and I do think experience helps just enough sometimes to get the Win even when you aren’t the most talented. I don’t think Gibson Co is as talented as they have been the last couple of years but they do play tough defense and don’t seem to mind the big stage. Loretto is very well coached also and these teams remind me a lot of each other. It should be a great game.

Neither team shot the ball well that’s for sure. Games like this can go either way. You need a few things to go in your favor to win gold balls. Yes AA games were all good yesterday! There are some really average teams that played in 1A and 3A games the last couple of days.

A simple solution seems to be that each team plays someone from opposite side of state in first round. Looks like that would take care of a lot of the issue. Example McMinn vs Huntingdon York vs Gibson Co GP vs Westview Loretto vs Smith At least don’t play same side of state first round.

I understand that’s a tough way to lose and I have much respect for Summertowns program but you will not find any Fillies fans that think we had the better end of the whistles tonight. It was rough

I would have to agree, Fillies have not played great the last two games but have found ways to win! Gritty tough comeback! Fillies had many questionable calls go against them. Hats off to a tough Summertown team. They have great guard play! I think they are well coached, but they did take some questionable shots late. Fillies made several clutch free throws down the stretch. Pressure started to bother Summertown late.

Congratulations to Savannah and Mikayla on an outstanding four years at Mckenzie! I’m sorry to hear Mikayla was hurt last night! Savannah goes down as one of the best high school girls players I have ever seen in West TN! Go ahead and retire her jersey in McKenzie!

Yea I don’t imagine Wayne Co or McKenzie is thrilled to see each other on same side of bracket. McEwens game plan to double Davis is the route most teams will go. McKenzie better have some other players step up and make shots.

McKenzie loses tonight in Championship game and that puts them and Wayne Co on same side of bracket in region. That should be a good win or go home game in Region semifinals

Huntingdon is loaded this season. They only lost one player and have 4 that will be going on to play college softball after this season.
