Gary Rankin was at Riverdale for 15 years and won four titles. Kevin Creasy has been at OHS for 9 years and has won five. He now has one for the thumb!

I would agree with what MidTennFootball said. Kyler Creasy has had a decent senior season.

They have some talented players in their secondary but not as much quality up front. Watson is a great offensive line coach, but he has a long way to go to be a good defensive coordinator. I do not want to be critical, but head coaches have exploited the scheme.

I totally agree. At the beginning of the season, the defense was not as good as it was in the past, but lately, it has been atrocious. Creasy will need to replace his defensive coordinator at the end of this season.

It was a great game tonight. Both teams gave it their all, and now Oakland is on to the semi-finals. Go, Patriots!

I believe Blackman has a legitimate chance to beat Riverdale. Kriesky has improved this program.

Oakland has played a much tougher schedule than Mt. Juliet. Not calling for a blowout, but I can see a win by at least two touchdowns.

I had stated in an earlier post that I believed Blackman had the ability to beat Green Hills. Blackman is on the cusp of being a dominant force in the District. They have the largest feeder program in the county in Blackman Middle, and Kriesky is turning into a pretty good Head coach. However, my allegiance is still with my Patriots.

I am not sure that I would give GH the advantage over Blackman. They have only beaten two teams with a winning record. I will go out on a short limb and predict that Blackman might have a decent chance of beating them. The strength of the schedule may help the Blaze.

It was a great game despite the rain. This Oakland team does not have the quality in the trenches; however, it does have some fine athletes who give them a chance to win. Considering their kicking game was/is challenged, and they are banged up, I tip my hat to the coaches for preparing them for a battle. Riverdale laid it on the line during the contest but came up a little short. Now on to the playoffs.

Oakland's issue occurred early in the game while leading 14-0 with a chance to go up 21-0. They fumbled the ball away deep in Ravenwood territory. After this happened, Ravenwood began to show a lot of misdirection offensively, which gave Oakland issues adjusting defensively. Oakland's game against Riverdale will be close, with the one controlling the lines of scrimmage having the best chance of winning.
