Exactly! And I still stand by what I said. Anna Texas may be 2-3 but who have they played? It certainly ain’t bearden. Texas high school is taken very seriously… those games represent the county and the schools over there. Like I said Oklahoma is the same and when I was stationed over there at fort sill it was insane.. those high school games were like mini college football games

I agree Anna Tx is a powerhouse.Texas high school football is a different animal than anything we have in Tennessee. Put a team like maryville or Alcoa over there in that area and see how well that works for them lol that 9 strait for Alcoa wouldn’t be a thing.Oklahoma is a WHOLE different animal.. I remember when I was stationed at fort sill in Oklahoma in 2013 and seeing those Oklahoma high schools play was something else… they shut the whole town down on Friday nights. 20,000+ people screaming at those games and I was watching some of those teams like bixby and jenks and thinking those teams are LEAGUES ahead of anything we have back in Tennessee. So yes… you are correct… Anna tx if placed in Tennessee would wipe the board every season. I agree… well…. Except for Oakland lol there’s always Oakland.lol Maryville is nothing more than a region bully anymore… bullying local teams then getting smacked up by the patriots in the 4th…. I love it. Hope to see it from here on out. Was a joy of a life time last year watching boo Carter single handedly murk maryvilles whole team… twice lol I actually sat on maryvilles side just so I could hear them cry up close and personal lol “JUST HIT HIM!!!!….. welp… he’s gone” then hearing the crowd scream at kick off “DONT KICK IT TO HIM.. DONT KICK IT TO BOO…” then he kicks it right to boos arms and bookings it 98 yards to the house and nobody got within 10 yards of touching him lol 😂

This NC team seems to be pretty good. Not state championship level but we don’t know much about the teams this school has played so they could be playing really tough teams is why their record is bad. I seen a picture of the team they are pretty big kids. However ,cleveland seems to be a really good team this year and nobody is paying them attention. They’re undefeated… first time in a while this far into the season I believe. If Cleveland could get the discipline under control… they would be a team to fear this year. Despite all the trash talk and rumors and drama on that coach.. it seems his program is really working and working quickly. Discipline is their downfall right now. Very very talanted. I favor Cleveland over bearden but in a very close game. Unfortunately there’s maryville after that. .and Cleveland isn’t disciplined or secondary in depth enough to play a full game against maryville. Will be within a score in the 1st half then maryville runs off. If Cleveland could get a program together over the coming years I truly believe Cleveland has the talent year after year to run head to head with maryville. But we’re nowhere near seeing that yett.

Sadly for maryville…. Oakland will continue to stop them in the 4th lol no matter how much maryville dominates the east… it’s different ball over there. Just like Bradley last year.. dominated the East and Oakland walked right over em. And the Years before that.. maryville dominated the East.. then Oakland 38-0 them and 49-7 humiliating them.same this year, maryville goes 13-0 and yett Again loses to Oakland tremendously. Oakland is looking better every game. So….. uh…… yeah get used to the new norm… it’s been 5 years strait for maryville not touching that gold ball. It’ll prob me more like the next 5 as well. Imagine a decade of maryville not winning state lol maryville goes 13-0 looking all good and glorified then Oakland slaps em up in the 4th by 3 or 4 TDs…. I’ve seen both teams play. Both are good but Oakland is too fast and too big

Oh no doubt. Maryville is a powerhouse this year… doing everything right. Great defense. Great QB. I pick maryville over Cleveland but it’ll be a good exciting game. Cleveland has the talent and program but not talent, Cleveland will get better year by year if this program takes off. Maryville wins. Cleveland goes 8-2 losing to maryville and bearden or 9-1 losing to maryville. Maryville goes 10-0 or 9-1 losing to Alcoa but most likely 10-0 goes 13-0 loses to Oakland in the 4th. Oaklands schedule is very tough throughout the year and that’s why they always have a breeze with the East. Maryville dominated then gets 38-0 beat or 49-7 beat by Oakland like Bradley dominated last year then Oakland breezed by them. Because Oakland’s schedule is much tougher and they’re much bigger and faster. With all the talent Bradley had last year and speed Oakland was bigger,faster, and had a better defense and offense.. Oakland stalls the East powerhouse once again this year and I’ll take it to the bank. Maryville is Superman but Oakland has been their kryptonite for sometime now.

Brother, Alcoa is the winningest team in Tennessee high school football history. They have been to 19 of the last 20 state championships and won 17 of them… currently on a 9 state championship win streak for 3A they haven’t lost to a 3A team since 2014. Nobody is stopping that monster.
