  1. Well lets see: The 16U Cruisers won the 16UASA Nationals the players on the team were: Merrick Martin - SS Mt. Juliet ( senior) Courtney Billington - 2B Willson Central ( senior) Jenny Bain - 3B Hendersonville (senior) Adair Hewett - 1B Centennial (senior) Hannah Irwin - C/RF Mt. Juliet ( senior) Raven Goodman - CF Columbia Central Tiffany Hibbs - C/RF Goodpasture Beth Harris - LF LaVergne Riley Mashburn - P Father Ryan ( senior) Brittany Pruitt - P Ravenwood ( senior) The 18U Gold batbusters won second at the 18U GOLD ASA Nationals two Tennessee players played on that team: Cat Hosfield P Riverdale ( senior) Shelby Burchall C Columbia ( senior) The 16U Nighthawks came in 33rd at 16U ASA Nationals Ivy Renfroe P Trinity ( junior) The TN Xplosion-91 came in 65th at 16U ASA Nationals I dont know percentages but a whole lot of kids on the varsity team in AAA play ASA "A" ball. The number seems to dwindle in AA and even more in A ball and division II . However there are dominant schools like Goodpasture in AA and GPS in Division II that are the exception to this rule
  2. Ahhhhhhh, but then one can find comfort in the fact that next year things can go back to normal. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> And just think, you probably get to play us at Brentwood your first game at state. Life is sweet.

    TRINITY?

Oh my word, here we go again. Every year people get on here and post rumor crap about the top pitchers/players in the state. 'So and so is hurt and cant pitch next season", "so and so is moving out of state", "so and so is leaving one district and going to be playing at a rival school", ect. Do people have absolutely NOTHING to entertain themselves with other than gossiping about the these kids and what they are doing?
  4. Well then, Good luck to your daughter when she plays them. Brentwood is going to have a good team too. They have a young pitcher who is going to shine this year. What I think may be a " Cat" quality pitcher. We will see.
  5. Do you mean Coach Weekly of Tennessee? He has all the verbals from 2008 he has room for. He is working on the 2009 class. He has: Jessee Spigner- California Choppers-18U gold Adrena Anderson- California Cruisers- 18U gold Cat Hosfield- OC Batbusters- 18U gold Ashley Anderson- Washington Sidewinders- 18U gold Shelby Burchall - OC Batbusters-18U gold Dionna Fryer- Shamrocks He is working on the 2009 class in which he already has two verbals. It is listed on Student sport softball All 2008 and 2009 verbals and where they are going
  6. Also, without me on this board you people would have nothing to talk about. (YOUR WELCOME) Well then, If that is true I am sure all of us are glad the season is over.
  7. Yes, congrats, two years in a row and probably two more to come with their young team.
  8. I think the Writers choose the all state team. There is a Middle Tennessee Coaches association that choses the Middle Tennessee team, and I think the coaches of the individual teams choose all district.
  9. What time do they play today?
  10. The only obnoxious person/ fan on this board is you. All you do is attack teams with your posts and get bent out of shape when they respond negitively to you. It is too late to come back with nice little comments like " they are great kids" and a lame " good luck next year" after you have been dogging their team aggressively for a month telling them they were going to choke. They read this board. I am from Brentwood, and no we did not make it to the championship game either but that does not mean we didnt have a successful season.
  11. Do you have any details of the game?
  12. Well, that's that. Congrats to Soddy.
  13. I have seen the " Stones pitcher" and I would not put her at " one of the best in the world" and I would not put her in the "top 5 in Tennessee". I would put Brentwoods pitcher, Riverdale's pitcher, Mt. Juliet's pitcher, Goodpasture's pitcher, Trinity's pitcher, to name a few , all above.
  14. I takes them a long time to graduate in chattanooga. We should be used to it by now. It's called bending the rules.
  15. Well lets see: Last meeting with Brentwood resulted in a loss last meeting with Riverdale resulted in a loss last meeting with Beech resulted in a loss and all of those were with their ace on the mound during preseason....oh but those dont count...or do they???? during the season they have lost to an addition 4 more teams yes, they have and can be beat better be practicing girls and bring your "A" game
  16. Wasnt the Riverdale -Hendersonville game more of a preseason type of a JV/ varsity mix game? I mean, Cat and KK were not pitching and I saw a freshman pitching for Hendersonville, and freshmen all over Riverdale's field.
  17. I dont know about that, but tell us about the Soddy game. I heard Riverdale beat them last night. Our girls only got to watch a couple of innings.
  18. Belmont: Julie Harmon, Holly Herman University of Houston: Baillie Lott Centenary :Caitlin Cavarra University of Conn: Julie Towers University of Tennessee- Knoxville: Cat Hosfield, Shelby Burchall Middle Tennessee State University: Jennifer Edwards Virginia Tech: Kenzie Roark University of Louisville: Colby Wherry
  19. That was a nasty comment. St. Benedict's girls and fans are great. They never say anything negitive about anybody. They are hurting right now as they are not in the championship game and they have played their best. Good teams mess up, good teams beat other good teams , but try to be more positive as these girls read this board and they certainly have worked hard and are heartbroken right now.
  20. Quite honestly Brentwood would rather face Soddy than Riverdale any day, so I am sorry about what happened to you Riverdale and I have no doubt you were cheated , as I had already heard all about it, but the good news for us is that the state is played in murfreesboro, not chattanooga, so soddy is in trouble!
  21. Where are they going to go to college?

    Beech playday

Entire Scoop of the tournament: Upper Bracket: Bracket One: Soddy defeated Sycamore Mt Juliet defeated Page Smyrna defeated Ryan Karns beat Harpeth hall Soddy defeated Karns Soddy defeated Mt juliet Bracket Two: Siegel beat Greenbriar Siegel beat Farragut St. benedict defeated Lebanon St. Benedict defeated Siegal Wilson Central defeated Hume fogg Wilson Central beat Overton Wilson Central defeated Friendship Christain St. Benedict beat Wilson Central Lower bracket Bracket three Knox Central beat Lavergne Riverdale beat Portland Riverdale over Knox Central Beech over Riverdale Lincoln County defeated Hunters lane Beech defeated Macon County Beech beat Lincoln County Bracket four Davidson Acadamy defeated Clarksville Brentwood over Davidson Acadamy Brentwood over Gallatin Brentwood over Blackman Lipscomb over Bolton Hendersonville over Creekwood Hendersonville over Lipscomb Brentwood over Hendersonville Final Eight Soddy Karns St. Benedict Wilson Central Riverdale Beech Brentwood Hendersonville All of these teams looked good, of the top sixteen, Knox Central's Candice Erwin looked very good but the team was put out by Riverdale with Cat on the mound. Erwin injured her hand somehow during the game. Blackman's hitting looked good , despite being put out by Brentwood: they hit two out of the park during the game. It is not advisable to throw change ups to the third and forth hitter in their line up. Mt Juliet looked very good but was put out by Soddy. I dont know who is pitching for Mt. Juliet but the team looked good. Of the top eight, Soddy looked strong but Waters was no match for St. Benedict hitters as they scored 7 runs in the match up. Some sort of parent problem erupted during this game causing police to be called and parent(s) to be escorted from the park. Hendersonville held its own against powerhouses in pool play and in bracket play. KK did well but this team really showed up as they have several young ladies who are excellent hitters. Beech's Lauren looked good pitching , problems erupted when she wasnt as is what happened when they suffered a defeat from Brentwood. Beech's game against Riverdale was exciting as she was matched up against a pitcher for Riverdale I do not know. Beeches hitters fared very well, Riverdales defense looked great, but Beech still managed a run across the plate. Riverdale had some good hits as well, just couldnt score. Brentwoods bats finally came around at the end of the tournament. I saw a lot of great hits but it wasnt enough. Julie, pitching for Brentwood did a great job pitching the final game against St. Benedict but the final score ended up being 4 to 1. Two errors did not help Brentwood and one great hit from the larger of the two pitchers from St. Benedict which resulted in one of the runs really hurt. The batting line up for St. Benedict is very strong. They hit the ball well in the last game. Their short stop is excellent as is the rest of their defense and their pitching looked fine.
  24. My pick for the district is Riverdale, no doubt, this game is not won on "suitable pitching". Of course it wont matter, my pick to win state is Brentwood. My opinion, of course.
