Everyone in the county knows it is personal with you. He knows his critics are out to get him. It will not surprise me to see him show up at a school board meeting to discuss his critics. The Director of Schools would not be pleased with what he might say. Just to be clear, Mr. Henry is not the critic he would be talking about. Coach Lott will be in the TSSAA Hall of Fame when he retires. Lefty is a nice man, but is not on the same level as a coach.

If you think changing quarterbacks would have made a difference in the game it is good you are not coaching anymore.

We do not play daddy ball. We do not have 50 daddies on the sidelines or hanging out at practice every day. The contract to play MCHS was on the table and AHS did not have the nerve to sign it. Don't sing it, bring it.

I have not confused anything. I have talked to several AHS fans and they are afraid UC is going to beat them. I did not say AHS would not show up. From the looks of it, you will get your typical one playoff game in November. Last I looked, you had one more win than MCHS.

Adamsville fans are afraid this week. You can read in their posts. They know they are in the deep water with better teams. It is time they played a decent schedule. It is going to be a tough night for the 'birds.

ManofMillions, you are a smart football man. McNairy has a few dads that would rather their boy play than the Bobcats win. A couple boosters think they are Jim Haslam and no one pays them any attention. We have a youth league program, but I do not look at that age program essential to winning.

concernedbobcat, you are so misguided if you think Coach Lott only cares about playing his granddaughter. He cares about teaching basketball to teenagers and winning. I would guess he has won more games than you have ever watched.

Don't recall bringing up Franks. I will now by saying he will not coach football next season. Another of those mutual agreement deals. He will not have much say in hiring the next football coach or deciding the future of Stacy Riley. Stacy will have to fight the perception he got the job thanks to Franks. I do not use vulgar references like small minds, but Lott will coach at least three seasons. Count on it.

McNairy scored their only touchdown on a kickoff return. It did not have anything to do with swapping quarterbacks. When McNairy fans are mad, they blame it on politics. Covington is a much better team and that is the reason they won by 38.

You clearly have a personal ax to grind about Coach Lott. I am tired of trying to get you to see reality. I wish you would take the time to talk to other coaches. They know much more than me. Lott is the best girls coach that MCHS will ever have and we are lucky to have him.

Kids having fun, but losing is okay with Riley. Logic just choked and died. I hope Riley is all-time leader in coaching wins in 10-12 years. What powers are going to bother Riley? Two ladies complain about Brown and the complainers win. It is 2017.

83, he has won in the state tournament. Get your facts together. No one with a brain would fire him. He teaches basketball better than anyone. That will never go out of style. If you do not like the way he coaches, then stay home and eat your oatmeal.

concernedbobcat, you clearly do not know much about basketball. Jerry Lott has won more games than all but four coaches in the history of girls basketball in Tennessee. He is not going anywhere. Ask other high school coaches, they will tell you. His name is on the court. What other active high school coach has the field/court named after them?

McNairy Central is a tough place to coach. Coach Riley is stepping into a tough situation as an interim coach. I hope he does well.

Coach Brandon Gray must have held back the explosive AHS offense. He has plenty of tailbacks and good receiver to have a prolific offensive attack. The one thing Adamsville will have to adjust to is they will not have the weeks to rest players like they did last year. Some feel Tucker Gray may end up being their starting quarterback.

How does Milan continually have such outstanding football talent? They have a great coach and that is a positive for continually having a good team. Milan is not that large of a town and you would think South Gibson would have watered down the talent in Milan. I have total respect for their program.

Bobcats 83, you clearly have an axe to grind with Coach Lott. He plays his granddaughter. How many coaches get a chance to coach a grandchild in high school? We have way too many parents that want to pick the team with their kids. You get a team and Coach Lott can get a team and his team will beat your team. If a player had not been lost to ineligibility, he would have the state in 1992 and lost two stars in 2010 that could have helped win another state.

cardfan, everyone knows crossing the state line can be an issue. Tish Co. is no longer a pushover and will be tough to beat in Iuka.

McNairy Central's non-region games are Fayette-Ware, Tishomingo County, Chester County, Humboldt, and Frontier Prep Academy from Memphis.

There should be some very good non-region games next season.

Any person that does not think Lott is a top coach does not know basketball. The last team he had capable of winning a state title lost a top player to a medical condition and a knee injury. Ask other coaches in West Tennessee. How many other coaches in West Tennessee have their name on the court?
