From the west: CBHS, MUS, ECS From the East/Middle: MBA, BA, Baylor, McCallie, Webb should be close for the last playoff spot with Father Ryan, Ensworth, and Webb i just think Webbs scheadule favors them not having to play MBA or BA. i wonder how the playoffs will be set up with the 5 on the east and 3 on the west. Ive seen the ensworth running back and he is really good. Id say ensworth will be on par with the rest of the teams moving up. Id say ECS, Webb, PJP2, and Ensworth will be relativley close. I will also say that 2 of thoes 4 will make the playoffs...but none of them will make it to the championship game for at earliest 3 years. Out of thoes 4 the best bet for the 1st team to win a championship in this league would be ensworth. The others will have a chance if they can start getting more players in which im sure they will b/c im guessing being in the league will force them to. Id say entering this league will make all of them a better football program overall in the long run. Esp. Webb they are the only private school in knoxville and they could capitalize on a lot of talent if there administration was willing.

Memphis university school(MUS) has one of the nicest stadiums, i think its brand new, and they play on grassy turf. It is really nice like one of thoes stadiums you would see in texas.

Now i just heard today that he is going to West. So i really dont know. This came from a parent who's son plays on the West team. According to him ayers told the west coach that he is going to play for him. Aparently the coach is going to play him at Middle linebacker. At webb he played defensive end b/c they needed d-linemen.

I think he is going to CAK. Although if i were him i would go to McCallie or West over them. He is good enough to play college football. As a sophmore he was pretty dang good.

Your right Douglas never played at webb High school but he was in the middle school playing basketball, but part of the reason he left was b/c the High school basketball coach was horrible. And Tyler Clendenon left b/c he was doing horrible in school and played some as a freshmen. And the family moved/ bought a house in maryville so tyler could go to maryville. And i know that neither were recruited or anything they just went there b/c its a great school to play football and basketrball but i was just noting that webb could of had both.

Douglas left webb for maryville and so did tyler clendenon. To bad webb's basketball coach wasnt awful or that its academics werent difficult or else they would of had them both.

First off they were 6-2 and avenged 1 of thoes losses..the other loss was not to a good team but they had their best player out who was the bigest reason they were good, blake beeler the QB who is now going to playing football at Wofford.

Funny how Webb lost to but then beat PJP2 the "ok" middle TN team,that beat MBA one of your supposed strong teams from a year ago. Not to mention PJP2 played Goodpasture close and actually beat them a year ago.

Even so..i still say Farragut is a very good school. I dont even understand how they rank the schools anyway....but they seem to.

People should check their facts before throwing out stats. According to Newsweek they ranked the Top public Highschools in America: 1165 Farragut Knoxville Tenn. 1.149 <1 30.400 1166 Cordova Cordova Tenn. 1.148 16.000 19.400 1185 West Knoxville Tenn. 1.127 37.000 23.700 Top 100 was a little overkill on that one. It looks like west was not that far behind either. What is BGA's schedule? They still have to come back and beat teams they lost to the previous year. Its not like thoes teams have all gotten worse. Most of the D2AA teams will take a few years to adjust...Some will make it a point to get better athletes into the school so they can compete. Lukily this year most of these teams have an easier region schedule then the origional DAAA schools. For enstance Webb's region schedule is PJP2, BGA, Ensworth, Father Ryan, McCallie, and Baylor. They can realistically win 4 of thoes games...although it will be hard.....and sit at 4-2 in the region. Say they win the rest of there non region games. that puts them at 8-2. Do they make the playoffs over a mccallie or baylor who may play BA, MBA or some other traditionally tough teams and lose and have a region record of 3-3 and not make the playoffs? Should be interesting to see.

If my information is correct Daniel Smith of Webb (1998-2002) was the first ever Tennessee 5 time state placer. Then the next year Lee Connel of McCallie (1999-2003) did it. This all occured after the split of public/private in the 1997-1998 school year.

Ya i dunno i cant really figure out 5a right now. Smyrna looses 49-0 then beats riverdale 9-7..... Although i have Ootlewah ranked as the highest 5a team right now for some reason i just find it hard seeing them win. Maybe they will prove me wrong. This is just my opinion and in no way am i some expert.

That was a heck of a kick... 44 yards into the wind with 4.9 seconds left. He could have made it from 50. As soon as he kicked you new it was going through. A great game to watch. Webbs defense finally had a real good game.

Thats true CAK is a private school and they are starting to come on in athletics, yet Webbs tradition, facilities, and ability to offer finacial aid to athletes would make them the only private school in knnoxville that could compete in D2AAA if they really wanted too.

I know Wisconsin's old head football coach, Berry Alvarez?, gave a scholarship to every wisconsin hwt(275) state champion each year. If you wanted to play line at the university of wisconsin you had to wreslte in high school.

I believe kick off is at 3:30. Regardless of what you think about the division as a whole these teams are playing with the cards they are delt. That being said ECS and Webb are good teams and would be contenders in 3a football every year if there was one division and possibly even have a title or two.

Is Troy flemming of BGA consider 2AA. If so you would have to give it to him. #2 All time rusher in High School football(USA). #1 in Tennessee. Somewhere over 9000 carrer rushing yards.

So does the west team have to play 2 teams from the middle so they have six region games? The Top 3 teams from the west join the top 5 teams from the mid-east region in an eight man playoff bracket I know webb's region games next year are McCallie, Baylor, MBA, PJP2, Ensworth, and BGA. I think webb is going to try to start getting kids in the school so they can compete to win championships in the league. The first 4 years they will probably be below avg. But if they get kids in that they can they will be good. Their the only real private school in knoxville. They could have a monopoly on all the talent in knoxville if they wanted. Well just have to see if the administration wants to be a true southern prep school and have great athletics.

well i think webb started playing football in 1959....so 47 years. Soo say aprox. 10 games a year average? 302 wins and maybe 170 loses? Id say around .623 winning percentage maybe...possibly higher i wouldnt think id be any lower.
