Care to elaborate on why Dyersburg will not see Cookeville ?

Memphis East numbers are down but they are always low. They usually have 2A and 3A numbers and elect to play up. They lost their coach which resulted in several players leaving. They were 4A State Champs year before last and have been a power over this way for years. I really hate what has happened.

This is mid cycle but this years enrollment numbers would put Dyersburg and Covington in 3A. Dyersburg was the bottom team in 4A and Covington was the top team in 3A this cycle. Both are well below the 3A cut off this year.

I would assume Springfield wins this easily. Dyersburg was up 42-0 at half against Chester last week.

Have not seen Springfield but Dyersburg and Haywood both would beat Southside.

Covington and PC will be an awesome game if they both take care of business and make semis. I will say in my opinion this years Covington team is better than last years.

Dyersburg needs to get healthy the next couple weeks. Lost another RB for the year in the Ripley game. There are a few others nursing angles and shoulders.

Dyersburg will show up this week. They are refocused.

Dyersburg jumped to 21-0 lead five minutes into first quarter. It seemed like they lost focus after that. I expect Ripley to pay the consequences .

Not exactly in Memphis but we are close. Dyersburg has a LB with offers from Arkansas, Georgia Tech and Memphis. He is committed to Memphis. Word is that UT is about to offer. Chris Russell 6’2 and 220 lbs. He ran a 4.46 on a visit to UT.

The most impressive thing is Dyersburg does that to Haywood and the D1 recruit only touched the ball a couple times. They have 4 RBs who can start for anyone. That’s not counting the one injured and out for the year.

We will learn a lot Friday night. Dyersburg has a stable of RBs and lots of firepower on offense but they have not played anybody close to Haywood’s caliber. I would not be surprised if it’s a high scoring and close game.

Should be an awesome game. Dyersburg had 5 starters out last week. Hopefully we get a couple back this week.
