Has anyone guessed who these four teams are yet??? And their actual seeds (be careful, that could be a trick question Team A could be Smyrna but they are not in

The transfer happened nearly two weeks ago. The other injuries are in areas that we have depth in. No worries. No fall off in productivity. Same team same BITE!!! GO DAWGS!!!!!! When the names hit the press lets see if everyone else feels the same way. I am beginning to question your judgement.

Sophmore linebacker went to Lancaster. Seems he needed to do things the way he wanted rather than what the team needed. What is so special about this infamous hot dog? Is it made with the special leftover parts? Does it make you smarter? Will you be able to float after consuming a couple? What type of soda goes best with this dog? Is it a two hander (insert your own joke here)? Only a couple of weeks ago was the 2nd leading tackler on the team and had 3 int. probably 2nd behind Meadows as best defensive player on whole team. Was the future of Smyrna defense. Don't kid yourself that this transfer did not hurt now, or in the future.

DNJ reporting Mr. Darkwa had 300 yards rushing on 31 carries. Wow, I thought we held him to at least his average of 225. I'm not sure he even played in the 3rd quarter.

28-14 Smyrna with 10:00 minutes left, Ensworht cut it to 28-20 with about 6:30 left. Ensworth scored with 18 seconds left went for 2 to tie it 28-28. Had ball first scored, went for 2 and made it. Smyrna scored went for 2 and did not make it. Final 36-34.

Offense would probably be OK if we would quit turning the football over it seems like at least 3-4 times a game. And throw in the penalties too. Heck i am frustrated watching the same ones do it over and over and nothing happens. We are fumbling hands offs without being touched. We fumbled 3 times inside the Siegal 35. Try this coach, next fumble tell them to go sit on the bench until they figure out how to hold onto the ball, same with the next stupid penalty like the block in the back 20 yards behind the runner on what would have been a 105 yard fumble return. Yeah, you can also toss in the personal foul penalty on the same play too. No one expects perfection but when does those numbers start to drop? Bottom line is this team is very undisciplined and discipline starts at the top, and we have seen his discipline fold like a house of cards. Nobody, and I mean nobody is held accountable for anything they do on this team, it is like it never happened and move on. In the DNJ Williams said that was a good football team they played Fri night, I know it makes good football fodder but no they weren't. Put Keasler sp? over there on the offense to jump down there throats for a couple of weeks and it might get through. Turn it over that many times this week and a good football team will show you what to do with it. Hope the players can get it straightened out themselves because I don't see much coming from the top ( at least not yet 1/2 way through the season ). Go dawgs! Homecoming 2009?

Great effort on both sides of the ball. Got sloppy after the half with three fumbles on the night. Offense is getting better. Actually saw some new plays. I thought Wilson looked sharp. Seems to be getting his confidence back. Hope Nate is ok. Heard he twisted his knee. Defense, where do I start? WOW! Siegel moved the ball a bit. But when we needed a play or stop we got it. You can see in practice that the nasty is rubbing off on the offense. I say Keasler for president! Week after week he has it on lock. Two shutouts in a row. Three actual shutouts on the season and you might as well call the Blackman game a shutout. Thier offense did not get to the endzone. The DNJ called the offense lack luster. I say they did what they had to do to win. With a defense like our's we don't need to score a bunch of points. Something new is happening at Smyrna. What is it? Oh yeah the special teams are showing up. Next week we have a top notch program coming to the dawg pound. Better strap it up tight and bring your lunch. This is going to be a ball game for sure. Offense better bring thier A+++ game. Go dawgs! The field goal still beats you 3-2.

I must have watched a different game. Week 5 and still way to many penalties, fumbles. 3 fumbles (1 in the 1st half) inside the 30? How lucky were we on the fumble that prevented Siegal cutting lead to 12-7? 12-0 (late 3rd early 4th) with siegal inside the smyrna 5 and they fumbled which would have been returned for a TD except for the block in the back (20 yards behind the runner) AND personal foul flags on the same play. After penalty we of course 3 and out and siegal fumbled punt and Smyrna put up last off TD. Until that time we had 1 off TD and a punt return. Middle of the 3rd qtr, I can't stand that this happened, but when was the last time you heard a home crowd BOO their own team with a 12-0 lead? Oh yea, defense was top notch.

Then why do we have Div. II?

Ensworth may very well be the best team all year with the best set of athletes Oakland will go up against. Thomas and his staff will not let Oakland slide when the worked so hard to redeem the program last season. You can point out the should haves, but point is it was a great ball game bewteen 2 really good teams, easy for Smyrna and Blackman to look good when they played vastly inferior teams. Smyrna plays Ensworth later in the year, both could not play Ensworth for the opening game. The last few pages of this thread should remind everyone what created Div. II, only all the complaining was between Riverdale about BA.

Depends on which team show up: Scrimmages Gallatin 10 play=not so good MBA down and distance=Great Overton down and distance= so so MBA scrimmage was at home, and so is this game, so maybe that will help. Way to early for anyone to assume anything will be easy. One word of advice though, leave your egos at home.

Heard on the radio that ex Alabama coach Stallings was going to be the speaker at the Clinic Bowl dinner Wed. two days before the game. That should be a good one, lots of stories.

I am sure local communities will ban them from local parks. Spring fling doesn't bother me, it is the 8-10 year old games where you may see parents in the parking lot with the guns a blazin.
